“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” These words ring louder in our generation than ever before. We are living in what can truly be described as the end times—an era where money has subtly replaced God as the object of worship, and genuine love has become rare.
Today, love is often conditional and transactional. Acts of kindness are measured by what can be gained in return. Even within the Church, and among so-called men of God, the purity of love has been diluted. One is forced to ask: where is the place of Agape love in the Kingdom—love that gives without expectation, love that reflects the very nature of Christ?
In the midst of this reality, I choose to remain grounded in Sunday School, under the covering of the Assemblies of God Church—where sound doctrine is upheld, where questions are welcomed, arguments are encouraged, and everything is done to the glory of God. It is a place where we search the Scriptures diligently, test every teaching, and arrive at truth on fair and biblical grounds.
If this version of Christianity—driven by self-interest, materialism, and compromise—had been what we encountered at the beginning of our faith journey, many of us would have chosen to remain where we were, untouched and unconvinced.
My heart aches for the next generation. I weep for what they are inheriting, and I pray that God will preserve a remnant who will love Him sincerely, walk in truth, and uphold the faith once delivered to the saints.
