For great men are not born, they are wonderfully and fearfully moulded and made by the mighty hands of God. And today, we celebrate a truly great man, an exemplar of the gospel, an icon of our faith; a man in whose mouth God’s words do not fall to the ground, whose adversities and accomplishments both instruct and inspire, whose life models love, whose words of wisdom inspire peace, who is a signpost leading legions of men to eternity, who is not only a rich repository of knowledge but whose life’s lessons and legacy continue to transform men and women in every continent.
