One of our distinctives as Baptist is the Two Ordinances - Baptism (by immersion) and the Lord's Supper.

Sunday 22nd May, 2026 was a memorable day as two candidates were baptized by the Church Pastor and and partook in the Lord's Supper with other baptized members.

It is the first Sunday of the year 2026.

The service was a moment of thanksgiving, praise, word and prayers.

We declared that this year, as the Lord’s Servant, we shall deal prudently; we shall be exalted, and extolled and be very high. Amen. (Isaiah 52:13)

Yesterday, the first Sunday of the month of December was so special and memorable as we celebrate our Annual 3in1 Thanksgiving - Harvest, Everybody's Birthday & End of the year.

It was a moment of praise, thanksgiving and adoration to God for all His faithfulness and goodness towards us expressed in prayers, songs and dance. Our souls blessed the Lord.

In his message, Rev Ezekiel O. Akinwande (Missions & Evangelism Minister, Shepherdhill Baptist Church, Obanikoro) preaching from Rom. 8:19-21; Psalm 103:1-5 on the topic "Thanksgiving of Glorious Manifestations," encouraged us on the reasons to always give thanks to God among which are; salvation, health, protection, provision and so on.

Thanks be to God for the soul lifting and wonderful worship experience. Deepest gratitude to our mother Church, Shepherdhill Baptist Church, Obanikoro represented by Missions & Evangelism Ministry members and the Baptist Students Fellowship of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos for their presence. God bless you all.

If Jesus tarries, we shall celebrate more glorious years in Jesus' mighty name.

As part of the efforts to fulfill the Great Commission, the Lord spurred the heart of the Baptist Student Fellowship of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos to reach out to Odo-Ayandelu community with the gospel. It is with Jesus' joy our church warmly welcomed and hosted them.

The outreach programme held from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th December 2025 featured morning cry, prayer walk, film show, house to house evangelism, open air crusade, visitation to the church permanent site and thanksgiving service.

We are very confident in the Lord that the seed of the gospel sown shall bear fruits in thirties, sixties and hundreds in Jesus' mighty name.

Special thanks to God for His presence and safety in the course of the programme. We also appreciate:
1. The Pastorate (Rev Dr Israel Kristilere, Rev Kunle Oyelekan, Rev Ezekiel Akinwande), Diaconate, Missions & Evangelism Ministry of Shepherdhill Baptist Church, Obanikoro for their support for the fellowship and the church.
2. The BSF Yabatech for releasing themselves to be used by God for His work in our community and church.
3. Rev David Adeniyi Adeyanju (Minister in charge of Evangelical Church Winning All - ECWA & Leader, Christian Association of Nigeria, Odo District) for accepting our invitation to minister in word. More grace and anointing upon you all.

Last Sunday 23rd November, 2025, the Lord through His servant, called our attention to one of the greatest factors responsible for the enemies' attack into the life of an individual, family, Church, society and the nation at large is SIN. When this happens, the only way out is through divine intervention. Therefore, the conditions for experiencing this divine intervention as revealed in 2 Chronicles 7:14 are:

1. Admittance & Acceptance vs 14a: Both we, our leaders and followers must be humble to admit and accept that we have sinned against God. Nehemiah and Ezra did. David did.

2. Conviction & Confession vs 14b: Everyone of us must come to the realization of the consequences of sins that we are experiencing, then, go to God in seeking and prayer. What should constitute our prayers? Plea for mercy and forgiveness (Psalm 51).

3. Repentance and Restoration vs 14c: It is not enough to admit, accept and confess our shortcomings, it is expedient for us to turn away from our wicked ways. we must be transformed by renewing our mind, desiring the life and things of God and His spirit (Rom. 8:5-8; 12:1-2).

We pray that God should have mercy on His Church and the nation Nigeria. Amen!
