The Ascension of Christ is the glorious event when Jesus Christ, after His resurrection, ascended into Heaven in the presence of His disciples. It took place forty days after Easter.
Brief Summary of the Ascension of Christ
After rising from the dead, Jesus spent forty days teaching and strengthening His disciples. He then led them to Mount Olivet near Bethany, blessed them, and was lifted up into Heaven before their eyes. A cloud took Him out of their sight, and angels told the disciples that Jesus would return again in glory.
The Ascension shows that:
Jesus completed His mission on earth.
He opened the gates of Heaven for humanity.
He sits at the right hand of God the Father.
He sent His disciples to preach the Gospel to the whole world.
Bible Reference
Acts 1:9–11
Luke 24:50–53
Short Reflection
The Ascension reminds Christians to keep their hearts focused on Heaven while faithfully carrying out God’s work on earth.

The Glorious Mystery of the Assumption reminds us of the moment the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken body and soul into Heaven after her earthly life. It shows God’s special favor upon Mary because of her purity, obedience, and faithfulness as the Mother of Jesus.
This mystery teaches Christians about the hope of eternal life and the reward prepared for those who remain faithful to God. The Assumption also reminds believers that Mary continues to intercede for the Church as a loving mother in Heaven.

Devotion to Our Blessed Mother Mary began from the early days of Christianity. Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, was highly honored because God chose her to give birth to the Savior of the world. In the Gospel of Luke, Elizabeth greeted her with the words, “Blessed are you among women” (Luke 1:42), while Mary herself said, “All generations will call me blessed” (Luke 1:48).
After the death and resurrection of Jesus, the apostles and early Christians continued to respect and love Mary. She was present with the disciples at Pentecost, praying with them as the Holy Spirit came upon the Church. Over the centuries, Christians deepened their devotion to Mary because of her humility, obedience, purity, and motherly care.
In 431 AD, the Council of Ephesus officially declared Mary as “Mother of God” (Theotokos), strengthening Marian devotion in the Church. Many prayers, hymns, feasts, and devotions such as the Rosary later developed to honor her and seek her intercession.
Catholics do not worship Mary as God but honor her as the Blessed Mother who leads people closer to Jesus Christ. Marian devotion continues today through prayers, pilgrimages, novenas, and celebrations dedicated to her around the world.

Vocation in marriage means that marriage is not just a social arrangement, but a divine calling from God. It is a path through which a man and a woman are called to love, serve, and grow in holiness together.
In this vocation, husband and wife commit to lifelong unity, faithfulness, and mutual support. Their love is meant to reflect God’s love—patient, sacrificial, and fruitful. This includes openness to children and raising them with good values.
Marriage as a vocation also involves responsibility and purpose: building a peaceful home, supporting each other’s spiritual and personal growth, and contributing positively to society.
In summary, vocation in marriage is a sacred mission of love, commitment, and service, where two people help each other become better and closer to God.

“To Weld All Together” in the Legion Handbook focuses on unity, discipline, and shared purpose among members of the Legion of Mary.
It explains that the Legion is built like a strong body where every member, no matter how small their role, is important. Just as parts of a machine must work together, members must act in harmony, guided by obedience, humility, and love.
The section emphasizes:
Unity of spirit: Members should avoid division, gossip, or personal pride.
Obedience to authority: Following the Legion’s structure ensures order and effectiveness.
Charity and respect: Treating one another with patience and understanding strengthens the group.
Common goal: All efforts are directed toward serving God and spreading faith under the guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In essence, the message is that the Legion can only succeed when all members are “welded together” in one heart, one mind, and one mission.
