For you to be that man God has Ordained you to be, you have to:
1. Be obedient
2. Keep the commandments of God
3. We should be peacemakers
4. Be problem solvers
5. Take away every form of jealousy and envy
6. Be diligent
7. Always be thankful in all situations.

Topic: Walking In Obedience
Text: 1 Kings 17:1-15
From our text we can extract three primary things:
1) Elijah obeyed God, believing that the ravens would feed him.
2)When the brook dried up Elijah, agreed to move to Zarephath in obedience.
3) The woman in obedience, heard the word of the Lord and gave Elijah food, she did not lack.

2) It begins and ends with the fear of the Lord (Psalm 111:10)
3) It is pure, peaceful, gentle and friendly. It is full of compassion and produce a harvest of good deeds. It is free from prejudice and hypocrisy

The Lord God is our true helper
TEXT: Isaiah 50:7"For the Lord God will help me, therefore shall I not be confounded,therefore have I set my face like a Flint,and I know that I shall not be ashamed".
1. It is clear in the scripture above that when God helps you, you shall not be confounded.
a) To be confounded is to be confused, to be perplexed, humiliated,bewildered, distressed and being unsure of what the future holds.
b) The enemies sole purpose is to get you to a place of defeat, confusion,waste and ruins.
c) The enemies always seek to "steal,to kill and to destroy" there by causing you to be confused ( John 10:10)
d) God has promised you His Help against our strong enemies.
e) He is the Almighty and can never be defeated.
2. With the help of the Lord you can set your face like a Flint:
a) That is the picture of someone, who is bold because he or she has been encouraged
b) He is confident, focused, with clear direction and a determination to succeed and reaches the set goal because he has been helped
c) In the name of Jesus Christ you will reach your goal
3) Because of the help of the Lord you shall not be ashamed.
a) For the people that are truly walking with God,they shall not be put to shame.
b) God takes care of everything that can possibly bring shame and gives us victory. Joel 2:26,27.

1. Lion is known as the king of animals
2. Lion possesses courage and confidence that refuse to retreat from any attack.
3. Lion is a symbol of fearlessness strength and invincibility.
4. With such a reputation for power and might, it is no wonder God uses this animal to describe the demeanor He expects from his children in proverbs 28:1
The righteous are as bold as a lion.
5. Jesus Christ is the lion of the tribe of Judah
6. Be as bold as a lion.

*THE CHRISTIAN CALL*

*THEME: TREASURE YOUR CALL TO SALVATION*

*TEXT: 1COR. 7:17-24*

*MY DEDUCTIONS*
Calling for the Christians is different from Religious Conversion. The phrase “born again” has lost its meaning and become a fashion today. People speak of born-again professionals, etc. However, being born again means acknowledging that one has repented of sin, Jesus now occupies his heart and Satan has been thrown out of it. God responds by declaring that the one who does this is His child.

Becoming a Christian does not mean a violent break from your past but rather SERVING God in TRUTH and in SPIRIT under God's grace. YOUR FACE, SOCIAL POSITION, EDUCATION and so on are NOT IMPORTANT; what is IMPORTANT IS the KIND OF LIFE that is LIVED - (1Cor7:19). Also OBEDIENCE to God is more important than trying to change one's circumstances or even seeking freedom from slavery. One's relationship and standing with God matter far more than one's position.

What has your calling as a Christian done for Christ? Have you led others to Christ? Is your call to salvation leading others to Christ in your family, community, office or is it sending people away? Consider your call in whatever position you may be.

*ALWAYS HAVE THIS VERSE IN MIND:*
Gal. 5:13 “For you were called to freedom, brethren, only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love, be servants of one another.”

*REQUEST:* Lord, don't allow my calling to be in vain but the promotion of Christ's gospel where ever you place me in Jesus' name.
