TOPIC:- SALVATION

Good evening sir/ma'am,tonight we will be trusting the Holy Spirit to teach us : Salvation: What it involves.

First salvation happens on earth while we are alive but it is an heavenly package. It is God's design to reconcile man,his creatures to himself being pure,righteous and godly.

Why,what and where as regards the topic are the things the Holy Spirit will help us probe into effectively tonight and draw us nearer to God.

Why must we be redeemed or reconciled to God?

"I was shaped in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me",those are the words of the Psalmist(Psalm 51:15)Reason being that our progenitor,Adam fell into sin and as such everyone born of man is born into sin.

Having been born into the world of sin,man can only be reconciled to God if he is born again,not of flesh and blood,but of water and spirit.(John3:5)
Meaning a convert begins to live righteously not by his power but by the grace of God having consciously surrendered his *will* to the dictates of God.
Note these: Meeting God and concerting is basic and essential,but it only marks the beginning of the journey.

*Remaining in Christ till death is the most important.* That is what Salvation entails.Therefore what does it entail to remain in Jesus,the author and finisher of our faith?

In John chapter 4,Jesus met the Samarian woman and after revealing himself to her she went into the city and proclaimed him . You can not keep salvation to yourself if it is genuine. You have to lead people to Christ,you are having difficulties doing that because your salvation is not what it should be. You basically can not preach or invite people to hear the gospel because of all or one of the following:

First,you are yet to testify ,I mean personally experience the exploit of the Holy Spirit

John 4:40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. 4:41 And many more believed because of his own word;

Kindly note verse 42:

4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

The Samarian woman believed Christ,accepted him and proclaimed him to others.

Personal conviction after meeting Christ spurred her to bring others to him and they also testified personally. Secondly,total faith in God. We know the definition of faith but do we practice it?

Salvation is built on faith in God

The bible says the commander told Jesus to give the command and he believes his child would be healed and so it was

Abraham became God's friend not by running from one prayer post to the other but by trusting God's word completely.

The bible say and it was counted unto him as righteousness. Kindly go through Hebrew 11 in your free time to know more about faith and some men of God who walked by faith with God

Thirdly,your faith is weak because you are not consistent in obedience to God

You obey when it is simple and direct not when the instruction is clear but the outcome not yet known to you.

Furthermore,your obedience is inconsistent,because your prayer life is *selfish or self serving*. You pray to ask for the good things of life not to know God more or to propagate the gospel
Not even to intercede for a fellow christian who seems to be struggling spiritually or otherwise

You are a church goer not a christian,you are a denomination member not a Christian.
The hallmarks of salvation are missing

The disciples were following Christ,but we're not yet ready untill they received the Holy Spirit,they did not receive the Holy Spirit immediately Christ died and resurrected until they gathered together and prayed .
They prayed after deliberating over the teaching of Christ(Bible study

Thus,prayer is not enough,prayer after study ing the word

These informs growth spiritually and helps to keep salvation

The devil is not too worried about you and I becoming born again. He understands that keeping it is the most challenging aspect of it .

This does not cause for fear,but trust and confidence in the Lord,which is enabled by Grace: Jesus Christ

He says: Be not be dismayed for in this world you shall face many tribulations,but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world

In conclusion,salvation is a journey on earth embarked upon by accepting Jesus Christ,kept and preserved till the day of judgement my obeying the Holy Spirit

Marriage is holy only when God is a witness to it!

In today’s teaching, I will be taking the topic marriage from the angle of witness and God’s perspective about the institution called marriage!

One of the greatest mistakes people make these days is the mistake of marriage and of a truth, marriage is a holy institution.

Before sin came into the world, marriage was already available and this made marriage become a holy institution that God takes more interest in than the procreation!

When your marriage is truly given to you by God, definitely you have stepped on the path to fulfillment but when you’re not given marriage and you give it to yourself, then that becomes the beginning of your frustration in life even if you’re fulfilled financially and achievements wise.

God is so much interested in marriage that He put so much efforts into the process and made the establishment of marriage institution a step by step process.

First, He made the man sleep and from there, took a rib out from him and made him a woman.

The step by step process is a pointer that God is very much involved in marriage.
THE MISTAKES WE MAKE IN THE PLACE OF MARRIAGE*

So many young people today make mistakes in marriage especially in the place of choosing and so many destinies has been truncated in the place of marriage but when you have the right knowledge, your walk into the place of marriage should be easy.

The following are the mistakes young chaps make in the place of marriage:

1. Choosing for yourself: from the beginning of the beginnings, God has been the one choosing for man and the day man started choosing for themselves, man became a subject of ridicule in the place of Marriage. (Gen 6:2-3)

God is very intentional about marriage because every purpose of man on earth begins with his or her marriage and when you fail to walk with the one chosen for you, you will lose the essence of the purpose!
The servant of Abraham understood this mystery and was able to key into it spiritually.

It takes only a Man of the spirit to know the mind of God towards your choosing!

2. Impatience in the place of choosing: of a truth, young chaps these days don’t understand the virtue of patience and as such, they lose the taste of true marriage.

When a man is hasty in decision making, such a man will lose the true essence of things.

Hasty decisions in the place of choosing is a very bad character of a spiritual man but one who’s patient and can diligently obey the instructions of God, will enjoy the wisdom of God in marriage.

3. Behavior and attitude is everything when choosing. Most people nowadays choose base on infactuation or lust. Even at times we allow prophets to choose for us, these stand the chance of being wrong.

4. Family history also matters. This is because there are different family standard and backgrounds. For example a child christen in a church and was prophesied to become a prophetess of God and later on such child gets older and marry a Muslim. What do you think will happen ?

5. Knowledge on married and what its takes to have a successful marriage.

*PLS NOTE THAT MARRIED IS WORK AND TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL MARRIED, YOU NEED TO WORK HARD. PART OF THE HARD WORK IS CALLING ON GOD ALWAYS*

Pls don't be fooled by ur soap operas and dramas that you watch, it does not always ends or goes like that.

We all need to understand that marriage is of God, this is why Jesus Christ described as the church where Christ is the head. It's like this God - Jesus Christ - Holy Spirit - Husband - Wife - Children

This is the protocol that we must always remember and our actions and directions should follow this trend.

We should know that God's foundation is the best and we need to be patient, prayerful and persistent ( 3p ) which are part of tools which are needed to walk a successful marriage life as a child of God.
