What is Shaβban?
Shaβban is the eighth month of the Islamic Lunar Calendar, or Hijri Calendar, falling in between Rajab and Ramadan.
The importance of the month of Shaβban has been strongly emphasized in the Sunnah as a warm-up to Ramadan, a time to prepare ourselves β mind, body and soul.
1. ππππ ππ£π ππ€π§πππ«ππ£ππ¨π¨ ππ§π€π’ πΌπ‘π‘πππΉ

The Messenger (ο·Ί) taught us the following dua:
Ψ§ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ
ΩΩ Ψ₯ΩΩΩΩΩΩ ΨΉΩΩΩΩΩ ΨͺΩΨΩΨ¨ΩΩ Ψ§ΩΩΨΉΩΩΩΩΩ ΩΩΨ§ΨΉΩΩΩ ΨΉΩΩΩΩΩ
Allahumma innaka `Afuwwun TuHibbul `Afwa Fa`fu `Annii.
ββO Allah, you are the Forgiver, You love to forgive, so forgive me.β
2. πππ ππ£π ππͺπ ππ€π§ π₯π§π€π«ππ¨ππ€π£ ππ£π π§ππ‘ππππΉ
Acknowledging Allah as The Provider and The Most Merciful, we turn to him to ask for an increase in our livelihood and relief from our troubles. The below dua includes all of this and more:

ΩΩ Ψ§ΨΊΩΩΩΨ±Ω ΩΩΩ ΩΩΨ§Ψ±ΩΨΩΩ
ΩΩΩΩ ΩΩΨ§Ψ¬ΩΨ¨ΩΨ±ΩΩΩΩ ΩΩΨ§ΩΩΨ―ΩΩΩΩ ΩΩΨ§Ψ±ΩΨ²ΩΩΩΩΩΩ
Allaahumma ighfirlee, war-Hamnee, wahdinee, wa βAafinee, warzuqnee
βO, Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, help me, guide me, and grant me sustenance.β
3.π¬ππ ππ£π ππ€π§ πππππππͺππΉ
Shaβban is an excellent time to get into the habit of waking up during the last third of the night to offer nafl prayers. Nothing matches the tranquillity of Tahajjud and the closeness to Allah we feel while the rest of the world sleeps.

πΌππ¨πππ (may Allah be pleased with her) said: βThe Messenger (ο·Ί) used to fast until we thought he would never break his fast, and not fast until we thought he would never fast. I never saw the Messenger of Allah fast
