Every few years, new claims arise about when the world will end. Even in the early church, believers lived with a strong expectation that Jesus could return at any moment, just as He taught them to watch and be ready. As the apostles aged, they were led by the Holy Spirit to write the Gospels, not because their hope was mistaken, but so that the life and teachings of Christ would be preserved for generations to come. Luke even makes this clear in the opening of his Gospel.โฃ

Sadly, throughout history and even in our time, false predictions have continued. Some people have sold their property, quit their jobs, or traveled to certain โ€œchosen locations,โ€ believing they would be taken up into heaven, only to face disappointment and return to rebuild their lives. Alongside these claims, false prophets keep trying to mislead sincere Christians.โฃ

But Jesus has already warned us: ๐ง๐จ ๐จ๐ง๐ž ๐ค๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ. Not prophets. Not theories. Not calculations. Only the Father.โฃ

Friday was terrible for the world when the body of Christ was lowered into the grave. On Saturday, there was still no hope, as everywhere looked spiritually dark. The disciples were hiding behind closed doors for fear that the Jews might come and execute them as they did their Master.โฃ
Some of the disciples may have been saying, โ€œIf I had known this is the way the table would later turn, I shouldnโ€™t have made up my mind to follow Him.โ€โฃ

On Sunday, Mary Magdalene and her company decided to visit the tomb to spray perfume on the body of this good man killed by cruel hands. On their way, there was a contemplation: who will roll away the stone? But to their amazement, on getting there, they discovered that the stone had been rolled away.โฃ

There is certainly some good that comes from this, but with more access to information there is also more access to misinformation than ever as well. How can we find valuable information and people to listen to with the bombardment of noise and false-truths that we encounter in our lives? Let us turn to these words from Moses in Deuteronomy for some guidance.โฃ

Moses made it clear that God will raise up a prophet like unto him from among Gods people and put his words in his mouth, anybody that fails to listen to him(the prophet) will be destroyed. Jesus came into the world to show us the way to God, his words can be trusted than any other. He said in John 3:3 except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Are you born again? Repent from your sins today by confessing them in simplicity and humility, invite Jesus into your life and then you're saved.โฃ
