💡BEAUTY FOR ASHES HEALING DEVOTIONAL💡

HEALING FROM DISAPPOINTMENT WITH GOD
Scripture Reference (KJV)
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God…” Romans 8:28
“My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 55:8
One of the hardest kinds of pain to admit is disappointment with God.
Many believers feel guilty acknowledging it, so they bury the emotions deeply instead of processing them honestly.
👉Some people prayed sincerely, yet the answer did not come the way they hoped. 👉Some trusted God for healing, restoration, marriage, children, open doors, or protection, but life unfolded painfully instead. Unimaginable and unpleasant things happened and they are angry, depr@ssed and disappointed.
Quietly, questions formed in their hearts and even flows out. Questions like
📌Where was God when this happened? 📌Why did God allow this?
📌Why didnt answer me when I prayed so much?
📌Did I do something wrong?
And this feeling of disappointment begins to show up outwardly as emotional distance, numbness in prayer, loss of passion, discouragement, or difficulty trusting Him fully again.
I discovered that in scriptures people were also disappointed but they poured out the confusion, grief, and disappointment before God. Mry and Martha for instance were disappointed that their brother had di@d.
Healing begins when we stop pretending and start becoming honest with Him.
Faith is not pretending you never hurt. Faith is bringing your hurt to God instead of running from Him.
There are things we may not fully understand in this life. There are painful seasons that leave unanswered questions.
Yet even in confusion, God remains faithful.
Sometimes we judge God based on one painful chapter while He sees the entire story. What feels like silence is not always abandonment. What feels like delay is not always denial.
⭐God’s ways are often beyond human understanding.
The enemy wants disappointment to turn into bitterness and separation from God.
But healing comes when wounded hearts continue bringing themselves honestly before Him.
👉God can handle your tears.
👉He can handle your questions.
👉He can handle your confusion.
You do not have to fake strength before God. He already knows your heart completely.
And even when life does not make sense, His love remains constant.
WHAT TO DO
👉Go to God in honesty.
👉Learn to be thankful. Genuine life of gratitude will eliminate disappointment.
👉Take in the word of God. It will help your heart trust God more.
