Theme: Unusual Faith
Ministering: Pastor Sola Adegborioye
Text: Romans 10:17
Message
Faith without Christ is nothing.
Three essentials for faith to be activated
*You must have confidence in God.
We must always know that someone is in charge whenever we even take a walk.
*We must sow seeds
*We must believe that what seems impossible is indeed possible with God
As believers in Christ Jesus, we need to operate by the principles that govern the Kingdom mentality.
We need faith to live the Kingdom life. And God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
You need to know that what people are ignorant about would likely kill them. Therefore, you must access the things that you know would give life.
Note that! You can’t be pursuing your own agenda, leaving God’s own agenda, and expect that he should give you desired attention. We need to understand who God is, as he has said he is.
Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. But if you have not heard his words, how would you build faith?
Brethren, if in Christ I find my peace, why don’t I seek after him?
The audacity of faith is consistent, and it is about acting on his promise.
Beloved, have you ever brought God to the place of your fears, then you doubt the results? See, unusual faith is not passive; it is active and compels believers to take risks, challenge what seems impossible. It is a situation we refuse to allow men to determine our choices or how we react to situations. Please, don’t allow circumstances to define you.
Let's see Heb.11: 1&6; verse 1 says: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Verse 6: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
We see faith at work in I kings 17: 11-16; the Widow of Zarephath dared to believe, and she was rewarded for her faith.
We can see that unusual faith breaks the barriers and ignores the odds.
The woman with the issue of blood for 12 years, also expressed unusual faith when she made her way to touch the helm of Jesus’ garment. (Mark 5:25-34).
The chances for her healing seemed so slim. But she heard about Jesus and it planted a seed in her that stirred up her faith. She took action and got healed. If she didn’t do anything, she would have remained in that situation.
The Bible also recorded the faith exhibited by the Canaanite women in Matthew 15:22-28.
Numbers 14: 6-8 bears the story of how Joshua and Caleb had faith that the land was good for the children of Israel to go. They were not afraid. And God said about Caleb: “He followed me wholeheartedly."
Unusual faith obeys ridiculous instructions, takes a risk at everything.
We see the story of Peter; walked on water as he had seen Jesus walking on water. But he started sinking when he allowed the circumstances around him to distract him.
Have faith in God constantly.
List the giants ahead of you today and crush them with the blood of Jesus.
Forgive. Love. Importantly, let Jesus be your Lord and Saviour.
