Theme: Ability to exercise our faith

Text: Romans 10:17

Message
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17,KJV).
We have talked about faith, referencing Romans 10:17. So, today, we consider the importance of listening attentively to God's word to help us build our faith.
You have to be exposed to God's word in other to do the word.
Brethren, faith is the trust we have in the character of God that we believe in.

We need to live by the principles of God's kingdom.
Faith is a response to what God has spoken to our thoughts. And the strength of our faith is in the reliability of what we know and act from God's words.
When you trust in God’s word, you never test it first. You simply embrace it.
We should know that faith does not originate from within us. Faith is God's words in response to our hearing.

Like the text explains, faith is activated by our consistent hearing of God's word.
We should also note that not every single word we hear produces faith.

To activate faith, we need the following;
*We must attend gatherings where God's word is shared.
*We must commit what we have heard to documentation and sharing.
* We can meditate on the word always.
*Commit 10-15 minutes daily to the word.
*Hearing must be accompanied by reflection and obedience.
*Hearing should evoke emotions.
After reading a passage of God's word, try to ask yourself pertinent questions.
Faith is not a private event. We should expose ourselves to the word of God repeatedly, and doing so in a group with same interest, helps.
Faith is exercised when we repent.
We should do well to reach out to people and ask how they are doing.
We can look at Peter’s experience when he exercised faith. By faith, he walked on water just as Jesus commanded him to do. However, he started sinking in the water as soon as he doubted. Our faith could dwindle when we face;
*Obstacles
- Distractions
-Busyness
- Doubt
- Fear of failure
-Cynicism

But, when in doubt, we should ask God in prayers. We should also ask a more mature Christian.
I encourage you to understand that condemnation paralyzes our faith, but grace in Christ empowers of obedience.

Every week we walk through the doors of RCCG Hope Hall carrying different things - different worries, different battles. But the moment praise begins, something shifts. Burdens lift, heart soften, and suddenly we are all in the same place - at His feet.

That is the power of corporate worship and we never take it for granted.

Theme: Unusual Faith
Ministering: Pastor Sola Adegborioye
Text: Romans 10:17

Message
Faith without Christ is nothing.
Three essentials for faith to be activated
*You must have confidence in God.
We must always know that someone is in charge whenever we even take a walk.
*We must sow seeds
*We must believe that what seems impossible is indeed possible with God
As believers in Christ Jesus, we need to operate by the principles that govern the Kingdom mentality.
We need faith to live the Kingdom life. And God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

You need to know that what people are ignorant about would likely kill them. Therefore, you must access the things that you know would give life.
Note that! You can’t be pursuing your own agenda, leaving God’s own agenda, and expect that he should give you desired attention. We need to understand who God is, as he has said he is.
Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. But if you have not heard his words, how would you build faith?
Brethren, if in Christ I find my peace, why don’t I seek after him?
The audacity of faith is consistent, and it is about acting on his promise.
Beloved, have you ever brought God to the place of your fears, then you doubt the results? See, unusual faith is not passive; it is active and compels believers to take risks, challenge what seems impossible. It is a situation we refuse to allow men to determine our choices or how we react to situations. Please, don’t allow circumstances to define you.
Let's see Heb.11: 1&6; verse 1 says: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Verse 6: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
We see faith at work in I kings 17: 11-16; the Widow of Zarephath dared to believe, and she was rewarded for her faith.
We can see that unusual faith breaks the barriers and ignores the odds.
The woman with the issue of blood for 12 years, also expressed unusual faith when she made her way to touch the helm of Jesus’ garment. (Mark 5:25-34).
The chances for her healing seemed so slim. But she heard about Jesus and it planted a seed in her that stirred up her faith. She took action and got healed. If she didn’t do anything, she would have remained in that situation.
The Bible also recorded the faith exhibited by the Canaanite women in Matthew 15:22-28.
Numbers 14: 6-8 bears the story of how Joshua and Caleb had faith that the land was good for the children of Israel to go. They were not afraid. And God said about Caleb: “He followed me wholeheartedly."
Unusual faith obeys ridiculous instructions, takes a risk at everything.
We see the story of Peter; walked on water as he had seen Jesus walking on water. But he started sinking when he allowed the circumstances around him to distract him.
Have faith in God constantly.
List the giants ahead of you today and crush them with the blood of Jesus.
Forgive. Love. Importantly, let Jesus be your Lord and Saviour.

Message
You need faith as a Christian!
Heb.11:6 says without faith you cannot please God. Therefore, it is important and necessary that you have faith in order to please God.
To start with, Salvation is received by faith.
Job 42:5 says “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee (kjv).
Know that if you keep hearing something, you will begin to visualize them.
A friend started early to visualize being in a university, and it worked that way for him.
1 Samuel 3:1 says that when God first spoke to Samuel, he didn't know it was God.
Verse 10; Samuel answered God this time...and said speak, for thy servant heareth.
Please, whatever you do, stay alive and care for your children. Prioritize what you pay attention to.
The scripture in Isaiah 6:1 says “In the year that King Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne; high and lifted up , and his train filled the temple.” (KJV).
Many people waste time in the wrong things for long. But those who would be leaders are disciplined. They do not do anyhow. So, do not enter into a journey of foolishness!
In Matthew 13:25, the scripture says but while men slept, his enemy came and showed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
It will be that the enemy has sowed poison on your field if you slept while others worked.
Brethren, you must learn to pray. Don't sleep spiritually. Know that sexual distraction is the worst act anyone could involve themselves in. So, it is useful to have a partner on the journey of faith.
Let's see Amos 3:3 says Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Matthew 18:19; two people can walk together, but they must have agreed.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says "two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labour. If one of the two people falls, the other can offer support. But the man will remain down if he works alone.

If faith is vital, and comes by hearing, then hearing the word of God is very essential.

Ministering: Pastor E. A. Adeboye
Topic: Created For Great Impact
Text: Jeremiah 1:4-5

Message
God had already ordained everything about your life from the very beginning of the world.
Just like in our text, He already knew us and planned for us before we were born.
As God has a plan for your life, you have a part to play in that perfect plan of His. (Eccl 3:1-8)
There is also a set time for you to play that part. (Psalm 102:13)
In Luke 2:42-52, we see that even Jesus had a set time before he could begin his ministry.
The same God who wrote the plans of your life ahead of time, also reserves the right to make changes to it.
In Luke 22:31-32, we see that Jesus intervened in prayers for Peter to alter the plan of the devil to use.
🗣️May you never do what will make God hand you over to the devil.
In 2kings 5:1-19 , a little girl was captured by the army of Syria and taken to serve in the house of Naaman.
While there she connected Naaman to his healing, and through that healing the gospel spread to Syria.
That was the greater impact she was created to fulfill.
Mark 5:2-19 tells the story of a dangerously mad man. God healed him, changed his story, and rerouted his life to give glory to God.
So also is the story of a man who was once notorious criminal, he received a tract that changed his life. Today he’s a devoted elder in the RCCG.
You have been created for great impact, but you can only achieve that greatness in Christ.
Choose today, to stay in Christ, he alone can secure your future.
Prayer Points:
1. God show me the purpose for which you created me.
2. Father, please let me fulfill your purpose.
3. Lord if I’m about to go wrong, please pray for me (like you prayed for Peter).
4. Father, help me fulfill my destiny.

Text: Romans 10: 17

Message
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romance 10:17, KJV).
If faith is vital, and if it comes by hearing, then hearing the word of God is very essential.
Without faith you may get just peripheral blessings.
Romans 8:14 says “for as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Therefore, those who are not hearing the word can't follow the directions from the word. So, whatever you do, you have to hear from the spirit of God.
In John 10:27; it says 'my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
He knows their name and character. So, check if you are a sheep, if you hear the voice of Jesus.
A simple first step is o ask yourself “Does the word of God come to my hearing? Am I following the example of Jesus?
Let's see Matthew 13:15; it says the hearts of the people have grown dull. Their ears hard of hearing... These are the people on the other side and God cannot have an interaction with them. In Verse 19 of Matthew 13, the scripture says the wicked one can sn**ch away the word of God from those who fail to understand the word.
You must continue to do a self-check by asking if you are hearing from God. Hearing the word of God must be preserved always.
Job 42:5 says; I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you. First thing, be careful who you listen to.
Some people listen to those who give them something. Rather than look for the word of God, they listen to those who want to manipulate them.
Brethren, please preserve your integrity.
Prov.10:21 says the lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of wisdom. Verse 22 says, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.”
Hear the word of God. It will bless your soul.
