الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوٰلَهُمْ بِالَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

"Those who spend their wealth [in Allah 's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve."

(QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 274)

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) never failed to utter these supplications in the evening and in the morning: O Allah, I ask Thee for security in this world and in the Hereafter: O Allah! I ask Thee for forgiveness and security in my religion and my worldly affairs, in my family and my property; O Allah! conceal my fault or faults (according to Uthman's version), and keep me safe from the things which I fear; O Allah! guard me in front of me and behind me, on my right hand and on my left, and from above me: and I seek in Thy greatness from receiving unexpected harm from below me." Abu Dawud said: Waki' said: That is to say, swallowing by the earth.

يٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا ادْخُلُوا فِى السِّلْمِ كَآفَّةً وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيْطٰنِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ

"O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy."

(Qur'an 2: Verse 208)

All thanks to Allah for keeping us alive till this moment.
May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon the seal of all Prophets, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), his family, his friends and the entire Muslim Ummah till day of Judgement.

Brethren, Are we prepared for the day we wont be called by our names but body?
Remember, the primary reason of our existence is to worship and serve our Creator (Allah) as well as follow His instructions. Are we doing these as directed by Allah and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)?. May Allah have mercy on us.

Being alive today is another opportunity for us to move closer to Allah by worshipping Him, following His instructions, seeking for His forgiveness, taking care of our young and aged parents, maintaining the ties of kinship and as well reaching out to the needy.

May Allah be pleased with us in this world and on the day account will be established...Aameen

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the best of creations, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), his family, his friends, and the entire Muslim Ummah till the day of reckoning.

Significance of Fasting on the 10th day of Muharram

The blessed month of Muharram is the first month of the Hijra calendar and it is one of the four sacred months in Islam.

Allah (SWT) says in the Qur'an (9 vs 36): Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during the month....

Prophet Muhammad [SAW] enjoined us to fast on the 10th of this month and this was reported by Ibn Abbas (RTA) :The Holy Prophet (SAW) arrived in Madinah and found the Jews observing fast on the 10th day of Muharram… They said: "It is the day of great significance when Allah delivered Prophet Musa (ASW) and his people and drowned Pharoah and his people, and Prophet Musa (ASW) observed fast out of gratitude. And we also observe it." The Holy Messenger of Allah (SAW) responded: "We have more right, and we have closer connection with Prophet Musa (ASW) than you have"; so Allah’s Messenger (SAW) observed fast on the day of ‘Ashura (10th day of Muharram) and gave us orders to observe it.

Therefore Brethren, please let us ensure we make the most of this day which is tomorrow (30th of September, 2017), by seeking for Allah's forgiveness & mercy, being good to our parents as well as being kind to Allah's creations.

May Allah accept all our efforts on this day as an act of Ibadah...Aameen
