*A Leader of All Must Play For All But Not Satisfying All*
In leadership, there's a delicate balance between seeking to please others and staying true to one's mandate. The Bible teaches us that a leader of all must play for all, but not be bound by the need to satisfy all.
*Playing for All*
- *1 Corinthians 9:22-23* - "I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings."
- *Romans 15:2-3* - "Each of us should please our neighbor for their good, to build them up. For even Christ did not please himself; rather, as it is written, 'The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.'"
A leader is called to serve all, to seek the good of all, and to be willing to adapt and accommodate others for the sake of the gospel.
*Not Satisfying All*
- *John 5:30* - "By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, because I seek not to please myself but him who sent me."
- *Galatians 1:10* - "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."
A leader must prioritize pleasing God over pleasing people. Not everyone will be satisfied, and that's okay. A leader's goal is to be faithful to God's calling, not to win a popularity contest.
*The Balance*
- *Proverbs 29:25* - "The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe."
- *1 Thessalonians 2:4* - "We speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts."
A leader of all must play for all, seeking to serve and build up others, but not be bound by the need to satisfy all. By keeping their eyes on God and prioritizing faithfulness, a leader can navigate the complexities of leadership with confidence and integrity.
May we, as leaders, seek to please God above all.
