Sounds humble.
Feels spiritual.
But Jesus reveals something terrifying:
💥 The mercy you receive is tied to the mercy you give.
⚠️ This is not emotional language—
This is Kingdom law.
And many believers are violating it…
While still expecting God to overlook it.

Let’s confront the truth.
You say:
▪️ “They hurt me”
▪️ “They don’t deserve it”
▪️ “You don’t know what they did”
👉 And you are right.
💥 But neither did you deserve God’s mercy.
⚠️ That is the point.
🔥 THIS IS THE MOMENT OF GENUINE REPENTANCE
Answer this honestly:
❗ Who have you refused to forgive?
❗ Where have you withheld compassion?
❗ Who are you silently judging while asking God for mercy?
Because here is the reality:
👉 You want mercy from God…
👉 But justice for others
That contradiction cannot stand in the Kingdom.
📣 CLOSING CHARGE
The Kingdom is not theoretical.
🔥 It is relational.
🔥 It is measurable.
🔥 It is visible in how you treat people.
👉 The test of your spirituality is not your prayer life—
It is your mercy life.
Because in the end:
👉 Those who received mercy… and gave it
Will receive more
🔥 But those who received mercy… and withheld it—

⚠️ THE MERCY YOU WITHHOLD IS THE MERCY YOU FORFEIT.
“Blessed are the merciful…” Matt 5:7
▪️ Not the gifted.
▪️ Not the vocal.
▪️ Not the “deep.”
👉 The merciful.
Here’s the uncomfortable truth:
🗡️ You are asking God to forgive you…
While you are holding someone hostage in your heart.
🗡️ You are praying for mercy…
While refusing to release it.
💥 That contradiction will catch up with you.
❤️ God forgave you when you didn’t deserve it.
🎁 He showed you mercy when you were wrong.
But now?
👉 You remember every offense
👉 You justify your bitterness
👉 You replay what they did
And still expect God to overlook yours.
⚠️ That is not spirituality.
That is deception.
Because in this Kingdom:
🔥 Mercy is not optional
🔥 Forgiveness is not emotional
🔥 Compassion is not selective
🚀 It is required.
If you refuse to show mercy…
You are telling God how to deal with you.
So be honest:

🕊️ INTRODUCTION — THE PROMISE THAT EXCLUDES MOST PEOPLE
There is no promise more beautiful…
And more dangerous than this:
👉 “They shall see God.”
This is the highest reward in all of Scripture.
Not blessings.
Not miracles.
Not breakthroughs.
💥 God Himself.
But Jesus attaches a condition that immediately narrows the crowd:
👉 “The pure in heart.”
⚠️ That means:
▪️ Not everyone who sings will see Him
▪️ Not everyone who serves will see Him
▪️ Not everyone who claims Him will see Him
👉 Because God is not revealed to activity…
He is revealed to purity.
⚖️ I. PURITY IS NOT SINLESSNESS — IT IS SINGLENESS

Let’s correct a dangerous assumption.
👉 Purity does not mean perfection without failure.
Because if that were the case—
No one would qualify.
💥 The Greek meaning of “pure” is deeper:
➡️ Unmixed
➡️ Undivided
➡️ Without hidden corruption
💡 Illustration:
Pure water has no contamination.
Pure gold has no mixture.
👉 A pure heart is not a flawless heart—
It is a focused heart.
🧬 II. THE HEART — GOD’S PRIMARY TARGET

God is not primarily after your behavior because the state of your heart decides the behavior that you will have..
👉 He is after your inner condition.
⚠️ This is where religion fails.
Religion cleans:
▪️ Speech
▪️ Actions
▪️ Appearances
But ignores:

▪️ Intentions
▪️ Hidden desires

👉 Clean outside.
👉 Corrupt inside.
💥 But the Kingdom works from inside out.

⚔️ III. PURITY MEANS AN UNDIVIDED DEVOTION TO GOD

Here is the real definition:
👉 A pure heart is a heart that wants one thing.
💥 God.
Not God + self
Not God + sin
Not God + secret compromise

⚠️ The greatest enemy of purity is not always sin—
👉 It is mixture.
💡 Reality Check:
▪️ You worship… but still crave the world
▪️ You pray… but protect hidden habits

🔥 IV. PURITY IS AN INNER WORK PRODUCED BY GOD

You cannot manufacture purity.

👉 No purity — No vision.
You cannot carry mixture…
And expect clarity.
🧨 CONCLUSION — THE DANGER OF A DIVIDED LIFE
Let’s confront this honestly.
Many are:
▪️ Active in church
▪️ Engaged in ministry
▪️ Familiar with spiritual language
👉 But internally divided.
⚠️ And God does not reveal Himself to divided hearts.
👉 You want to see God…
But you don’t want to lose your mixture.
That is the conflict.
🔥 THE FINAL TAKEAWAY FROM THIS SERMON
Answer this without hiding:
❗ Is your heart fully God’s—or partially His?
❗ Are your motives clean—or mixed?
❗ Is your devotion singular—or divided?
Because this is the truth:
👉 You can look pure externally…
👉 And still be impure internally.
And God is not looking at your image—
He is examining your heart.

The call of this Kingdom is not activity.
🔥 It is purity.
🔥 It is oneness.
🔥 It is undivided devotion.
Because in the end:
👉 The gifted may be seen

⚠️ YOU DON’T SEE GOD BECAUSE YOUR HEART IS DIVIDED.

▪️ Not the busy.
▪️ Not the gifted.
▪️ Not the loud.
👉 The pure.
💥 Here’s the uncomfortable truth:
▪️ You want God… But you also want your secrets.
▪️ You want His presence… But you won’t release your mixture.
▪️ You want to “see Him”… But your heart is split between Him and everything else.
🎁 God does not reveal Himself to divided people.

And that’s the problem:
👉 You pray… but you still protect sin
👉 You worship… but you still love the world

🕊️ INTRODUCTION — THE CRISIS OF MISDIRECTED HUNGER
Every man is driven by desire.
Nobody is empty.
Everybody is hungry for something.
👉 Money
👉 Recognition
👉 Power
👉 Even “spiritual experiences”
But Jesus cuts through all distractions and declares:
💥 Only one hunger leads to blessedness—Righteousness.
⚠️ So the issue is not whether you are hungry…
The issue is:
👉 What are you starving for?
Because your appetite is your identity.
⚖️ I. RIGHTEOUSNESS — THE STANDARD YOU CANNOT NEGOTIATE

📖 See: John 17:25
Righteousness is not a religious word—it is God’s nature expressed.
💥 It is:
▪️ What is right
▪️ What is just
▪️ What is true
▪️ What is pure in God’s sight
👉 God does not have righteousness.
👉 God IS righteousness.
⚠️ And here is the problem:
God requires righteousness…
But man is naturally unrighteous.

👉 So the greatest need of man is not success—
It is righteousness.
🔥 II. YOUR DESIRES REVEAL YOUR TRUE CONDITION

Jesus did not say:
▪️ Blessed are those who like righteousness
▪️ Blessed are those who admire righteousness
👉 He said:
“HUNGER” and “THIRST.”
💥 That is desperation language.
💡 Illustration:
A starving man is not selective.
A thirsty man is not casual.
👉 Hunger is not polite.
👉 Hunger is aggressive.
⚠️ If your pursuit of God is casual—
Your hunger is questionable.
🧬 III. THIS HUNGER IS THE EVIDENCE OF NEW LIFE

Natural man does not crave righteousness.
👉 He craves comfort
👉 He craves pleasure
👉 He craves self-exaltation
💥 So when hunger for righteousness appears—
➡️ It is evidence of divine life within

👉 If you have no desire to be holy…
👉 No longing to be right before God…
You are not spiritually healthy—you are spiritually dead.

A man without appetite is not normal.

This is deeper than moral behavior.
👉 To hunger for righteousness is to hunger for:

Because this hunger will:

🔥 V. THE INTENSITY REQUIRED — DESPERATION, NOT INTEREST

The Kingdom is not for:
▪️ The curious
▪️ The comfortable
▪️ The self-satisfied
👉 It is for the desperate.
💡 Illustration:
A man dying of thirst does not debate water—
He runs to it.
⚠️ Many believers are interested in righteousness…
But not desperate for it.
👉 And interest does not transform.
Desperation does.
👑 VI. THE PROMISE — “THEY SHALL BE FILLED”

God never ignores true hunger.
💥 He responds with filling.
Three Dimensions of This Filling:
1️⃣ PROGRESSIVE FILLING (NOW)

2️⃣ POSITIONAL FILLING (IN CHRIST)

3️⃣ PERFECT FILLING (FUTURE)

➡️ Complete transformation
➡️ Total freedom from sin
➡️ Eternal alignment with God
⚠️ But hear this clearly:
👉 No hunger — No filling.
God does not fill the satisfied.
He fills the starving.
🧨 CONCLUSION — THE TRAGEDY OF A SATISFIED CHURCH
Let’s confront the real issue.
We are surrounded by people who:
▪️ Attend church
▪️ Speak spiritual language
▪️ Engage in activity
👉 But lack hunger.
⚠️ And the most dangerous condition is not sin—
👉 It is satisfaction without righteousness.
Because once you are satisfied…
You stop seeking.
And when you stop seeking…
You stop growing.
🔥 FINAL CONFRONTATION
Answer honestly:
❗ Do you crave righteousness… or convenience?
❗ Do you pursue holiness… or just avoid trouble?
❗ Are you desperate for God… or comfortable without Him?
Because Jesus did not say:
👉 Blessed are the informed
👉 Blessed are the active
🔥 He said:
Blessed are the hungry.
📣 CLOSING CHARGE
👉 If your hunger is weak—
It must be confronted.
👉 If your appetite is misplaced—
It must be corrected.
👉 If your desire is dead—
It must be revived.
Because in this Kingdom:
🔥 Only the desperate are filled.
🔥 Only the hungry are transformed.
🔥 Only the thirsty will drink deeply of God.

🔥 THE GREATEST PEOPLE IN GOD’S KINGDOM ARE NOT LOUD… THEY ARE MEEK.

You call it weakness.
God calls it qualification.
Jesus—King of Glory—said He is meek.
Yet He carried authority that shook hell.
👉 Meekness is not being soft.
👉 It is having power—and choosing surrender.
You can speak in tongues, preach fire, command crowds…
But if you cannot control your anger, your pride, your reactions—
You are not powerful. You are unbroken.
God will not give inheritance to the self-willed.
He will break you.

but to make you safe for power.

🕊️ INTRODUCTION — THE PARADOX THAT OFFENDS THE HEART
Jesus speaks again… and deepens the offense.
👉 First, He demands poverty of spirit
👉 Now, He demands mourning
💥 In simple terms:
“The truly happy are the ones who grieve.”
This is not poetic language.
This is Kingdom reality.
⚠️ A gospel that never makes you mourn…
Is a gospel that has never truly reached you.
Because the Kingdom is not built on excitement—
It is built on brokenness.
⚔️ I. MOURNING IS THE EVIDENCE THAT YOU HAVE SEEN CORRECTLY
📖 Connection: Matthew 5:3
Verse 4 flows from verse 3.
👉 You cannot truly mourn…
Until you have truly seen.
💥 The sequence is divine:
1. You see your poverty
2. You feel your condition
➡️ Revelation produces emotion
➡️ Sight produces sorrow

Isaiah didn’t celebrate when he saw God.
He collapsed.
⚠️ If your encounter with God has never broken you…
You may have encountered a concept—
Not His holiness.
💔 II. NOT ALL SORROW IS HOLY — THERE IS A DEADLY COUNTERFEIT
📖 See: 2 Corinthians 7:10
Jesus is not talking about:
▪️ Pain from unmet desires
▪️ Emotional disappointment
▪️ Loss of comfort or ambition
👉 That sorrow is self-centered
👉 And it leads to death
💥 But godly sorrow is different:
➡️ It is centered on offending God
➡️ It grieves over sin, not inconvenience
➡️ It produces repentance, not self-pity
💡 Illustration:
Two people cry:
▪️ One cries because he was caught
▪️ Another cries because he has seen his corruption
👉 Only one is experiencing Kingdom mourning.
🔥 III. KINGDOM MOURNING IS A DEEP GRIEF OVER SIN — PERSONAL AND CORPORATE

The mourner in God’s Kingdom feels:
1️⃣ Personal Grief
▪️ “I have sinned”
▪️ “I am unclean”
▪️ “I am undone”

2️⃣ Corporate Grief
▪️ The brokenness of humanity
▪️ The rebellion of nations
▪️ The dishonor of God’s name
📖 See: Ezekiel 9:4
⚠️ Many believers are entertained by what should make them mourn.
👉 That is a dangerous numbness.
🧎‍♂️ IV. GODLY MOURNING IS THE ENGINE OF TRUE REPENTANCE

Repentance is not casual.
👉 It is not:
▪️ “God forgive me” and move on
▪️ Surface confession without inner breaking
💥 True repentance is:
➡️ A deep inner turning
➡️ A hatred for sin
➡️ A grief that changes direction

⚠️ If there are no tears in your repentance—
There may be no depth in your transformation.
👑 V. THE PROMISE: THEY SHALL BE COMFORTED

This is not empty consolation.
👉 It is divine exchange.

He responds to it.
Three Dimensions of Comfort:
1️⃣ Present Comfort

➡️ Assurance of forgiveness
2️⃣ Progressive Comfort

➡️ Healing over time
➡️ Transformation of the heart
3️⃣ Eternal Comfort

➡️ Final removal of sorrow
➡️ Eternal joy in God’s presence
⚠️ But hear this clearly:
👉 Comfort is reserved for mourners.
If you avoid mourning—
You disqualify yourself from comfort.
🧬 VI. THE SPIRITUAL MYSTERY: JOY IS BORN FROM SORROW

This is the paradox of the Kingdom:
👉 The pathway to joy is not avoidance of pain—
It is passing through it.
💡 Illustration:
A woman in labor experiences pain…
But that pain produces life.
➡️ No labor → No birth
➡️ No mourning → No transformation

🧨 CONCLUSION — THE CRISIS OF A LAUGHING CHURCH
Let’s confront reality.
We are raising a generation that:
▪️ Laughs easily
▪️ Celebrates quickly
▪️ Feels little conviction
👉 But Jesus says:
“Blessed are those who mourn.”
Not those who are constantly entertained.
Not those who are always comfortable.
⚠️ If sin does not grieve you…
If rebellion does not disturb you…
If your condition does not break you…
👉 Then you are not yet aligned with the Kingdom.
🔥 FINAL CONFRONTATION
Answer honestly:
❗ When last did your sin make you weep?
❗ When last did God’s holiness disturb your comfort?
❗ When last did you mourn over your spiritual state?
Because here is the truth:
👉 Many want joy
👉 Few are willing to mourn
👉 Many want comfort
👉 Few are willing to be broken
But the Kingdom does not bend to your preference.
🔥 No mourning — No comfort.
🔥 No tears — No transformation.

🔥 SERMON TITLE: “THE GATE OF NOTHINGNESS: Why Only the Empty Enter the Kingdom”
📖 Anchor Text: Matthew 5:3

🕊️ INTRODUCTION — THE OFFENSIVE FIRST STEP
Jesus opens the doorway to the Kingdom…
And immediately offends human pride.
✔️ Not with power.
✔️ Not with miracles.
✔️ Not with greatness.
👉 But with poverty.
⚠️ The first qualification for entering God’s Kingdom is not strength—
It is bankruptcy of spirit.
And this is where many stop.
Because everything in human nature resists this truth.
👉 You want to feel strong.
👉 God says: “Come when you realize you are nothing.”
⚖️ I. “BLESSED” — A REALITY, NOT AN EMOTION

📖 See: Romans 14:17
The word “blessed” is dangerously misunderstood.
👉 It does NOT mean:
▪️ Feeling good
▪️ Emotional excitement
▪️ Circumstantial happiness
💥 It means:
A divine state of approval and participation in God’s own life.
➡️ It is to share in God’s condition
➡️ It is to be aligned with eternal joy
⚠️ So hear this clearly:
👉 You can be smiling… and not blessed.
👉 You can be suffering… and deeply blessed.
Because blessedness is not what you feel—
It is what you are connected to.
🧨 II. GOD’S DEFINITION OF BLESSED WILL DISQUALIFY MOST PEOPLE

Let’s confront this:
👉 The world calls these people blessed:
▪️ The wealthy
▪️ The "confident"
▪️ The "self-assured"
▪️ The powerful
👉 God calls another group blessed:
▪️ The poor in spirit.
⚠️ This is not a suggestion.
It is a complete reversal of value systems.
💡 Reality Check:
If your idea of success still matches the world’s definition…
You are not yet thinking like the Kingdom.
🧎‍♂️ III. “POOR IN SPIRIT” — THE REVELATION OF TRUE SELF

📖 See: Isaiah 6:5
👉 To be poor in spirit is not:
▪️ Low self-esteem
▪️ Timidity
▪️ Inferiority complex
💥 It is:
A spiritual awakening to your absolute inability before God.
➡️ You see:
▪️ Your sin clearly
▪️ Your emptiness honestly
▪️ Your helplessness fully
💡 Illustration:
A man who is financially bankrupt does not negotiate—
He begs for mercy.
👉 That is the posture of the poor in spirit.
⚠️ Until you come to the end of yourself…
You have not yet begun with God.
🔥 IV. POVERTY OF SPIRIT IS THE ROOT OF TRUE REPENTANCE

Repentance is not behavior adjustment.
👉 It is the collapse of self-confidence.
The poor in spirit:
▪️ Stop defending themselves
▪️ Stop justifying sin
▪️ Stop presenting merit before God
💔 They come with nothing.
📖 See: Psalm 51:17
⚠️ Many say “I have repented”…
But they still believe they have something to offer God.
👉 That is not repentance.
That is negotiation.
👑 V. WHY THE KINGDOM BELONGS TO THEM
📖 See: Matthew 5:3
This is shocking:
👉 Not “will be theirs”
👉 But “theirs is”
💥 Present possession.
Why?
Because:
➡️ God can only fill what is empty
➡️ God can only lead those who surrender
➡️ God can only save those who admit they are lost
⚠️ Pride locks the door to the Kingdom.
Poverty of spirit opens it.
🧬 VI. THIS CONDITION IS PRODUCED BY GRACE — NOT HUMAN EFFORT

👉 No man naturally sees himself correctly.
Human nature does two things:
▪️ Minimizes sin
▪️ Exalts self
💥 Only God’s grace can:
▪️ Expose your true condition
▪️ Bring you to humility
⚠️ If you have never been broken before God…
You may still be living in illusion.
⚔️ VII. THE DANGER OF FALSE SPIRITUAL CONFIDENCE

This is the most dangerous state:
👉 Thinking you are spiritually rich…
While being completely empty.
💡 Contrast:
▪️ The Pharisee boasts
▪️ The tax collector weeps

⚠️ God does not respond to presentation.
He responds to truth.
🧨 CONCLUSION — THE GATE THAT HUMILIATES EVERYONE
The Kingdom of God has a gate.
It is narrow.
It is low.
It forces every man to bow.
👉 That gate is poverty of spirit.
And here is the tension:
❗ You want the Kingdom
❗ You want the blessings
❗ You want the life of God
But you do not want to be emptied.
⚠️ That is the contradiction.
Because:
👉 As long as you are full of yourself…
You are empty of God.
👉 But when you become empty of yourself…
You become full of God.
🔥 FINAL CONFRONTATION
Let’s make it plain:
👉 You can be active in church…
👉 You can pray, preach, and serve…
And still not be poor in spirit.
So answer honestly:
🔥 Have you truly seen your spiritual poverty?
🔥 Have you come to God with nothing to offer?
🔥 Or are you still presenting your righteousness?
Because until you are poor in spirit—
You are still outside the Kingdom you claim.
