Recognition: You will notice the person has a need first. You cannot show compassion to a pain you refuse to see.

Empathy: Feeling concerned to help someone. Help is an action. Listening to someone is help too

Wisdom and Boundaries

Help with wisdom. Love in a way you love yourself.

Do not burn out yourself because of help

People can be manipulative, be careful to play into their hands.
Help excessively will make some not to learn lessons in life
Giving beyond your capacity make you go through unnecessary street

In summary, it is good to help but be wise and pray for guidance in certain circumstances...

Many individuals do not know the help they need.

Some need words of hope, faith, encouragement but if such one is in sickness, he wants instant healing thus would not open up his heart to the Word that could eventually bring healing to him.

Some need ideas, but if what they think they need is money, the ideas would not seem good to them even if that is the help they need.

We need to be discerning in helping people because people could be clouded by a pressing issues in the heat of the moment might not be discerning rather overwhelmed by such matters at hand.

We can pray for guidance in discharging help to avoid being hurt by helping people or those we help.

Main Text: Gal 6:7, Providence 13:20

Help is a good thing. Lifting a burden off someone is noble. However, some are wounded via the help they rendered, it might be by the one helped or those who are not happy with who you help and the help you give.

Many are wounded emotionally, financially, maritally, politically, academically and in diverse areas of life.

Sometimes, in trying to help everyone, we become entangled in situations that drain our strength, distract our focus, and delay what God wants to manifest in our lives.

Therefore, we need to apply wisdom, be discerning in helping people to avoid unnecessary wounds.

In our local assembly, we need to be in one mind for God to move expressly among us.

God has so much great things to do for us but discord would not allow us to enjoy the best of God.

The Church of Christ should learn to be in one mind otherwise we will not progress as we should.

Topic: The Move of God- One Mind
Text: Gen 11

We read how the people had one mind in building an edifice that could reach heaven and God said they could achieve it. But building a high tower structure requires regulations, it could collapsed and destroy them, God had to intervene to make the people to avoid destruction.

God is not against unity, but he want people to be united over a noble and righteous course.

In the book of Acts, the oneness of the people was noteworthy and the Holy Ghost came upon them and remain with us till date

The energy we put into making request is almost our best whenever we are praying to God. However, immediately such request is granted we choose not to be grateful to God.

We do not give much energy into thanking God though He has always been good to us.

We should learn to thank God that what we are asking for is granted even when we are yet to see any sign of it at all.

Topic: Thanking God in Advance
Text: Phillipians 4:6
There are cadres in coming and standing before God. We need to know that there are phases and stages of relating with God.

To purpose in our heart to pray is a good thing. We should note the scriptures admonished us to thank God for whatever we are asking. We should bring our prayers and supplications before God with thanksgiving.

One l***r returned to thank our Lord Jesus Christ after ten received healing.
