How to Show God's Power to Your Enemies

Read with patience.

Over and over again, I have reiterated from scriptures that God does not kill, God does not do evil, death and evil are Satan's tool and God does not use Satan's tool to prove how great he is.

God proved his greatness, by becoming a man, by dying for our sins and by living in us today. God's greatness can only be found in his love for us.

Therefore, God will not kill your enemies.

Scripture is clear on this

Matthew 5:43-45,48
[43]Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
[44]But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
[45]That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
[48]Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

The bible teaches that loving your enemies is the prove that you are a child of God, because God himself loved the sinners such that he died for them.

Always remember that Christ died for that fellow you termed your enemy, so love them.

But you can still show your enemies God's greatness without cursing them, or wishing them dead or experience evil.

You don't need to use evil on people in other to prove that God is great.

A certain man of God boasted on TV of how the enemies of one of his member died within seven days.

I believe this doesn't agree with the word of God.

For the clarity of purpose, in the new testament, every believer has one Arch-enemy and that is Satan and his demons, such that Paul says

"we wrestled not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers"

He father buttressed this by saying

"the weapon of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God."

By using the word "carnal" he meant, we don't fight with physical blades and swords such as David or Saul etc, because the saints of old had little details about the spiritual warfare, they don't even recognize Satan and demons. But today, we know who the devil is and his workings, at such we are to fight a faith fight, we are to cast demons out and suspend the activities of the devil.

But we also know that there are people who served as enemies, these people opposed us probably for the gospels sake or for our own personal activity as human.
Most of the times, these human enemies were inspired by the devil.

As a believer, you are to love them, and you are NOT to pray the DIE DIE DIE type of prayer.

because you can still prove God's power to them in love.

How did I know this?

You see the Bible was written to serve as our example.

It happened that some armies of Syria were sent to capture Elisha, but Elisha demonstrated the power of God in love.

2 Kings 6:18-22
[18]And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
[19]And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.
[20]And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.
[21]And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them?
[22]And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.

Don't kill them, give them food, give them drink and let them go.

Clearly you don't have to kill (like Elijah did with the prophet of baal) to prove God's power.

Most of the times when you see believers praying, the die die prayer, they are praying in fear, they are not sure of the new life they have in Christ.

I saw a certain theme text tagged "kill them before they kill you", this shows clearly, that they were never sure of the believers authority in the name of Jesus.

Paul did same.

Acts 13:6-12
[6]And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:
[7]Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
[8]But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
[9]Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
[10]And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
[11]And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
[12]Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

Can you see that?
Paul made him blind for a season, that is, for a while and later on the eyes will open.
This man barjesus was preventing the gospel from being preached, Paul made him blind for a little while so the gospel will be preached successfully.

But Paul did not make him blind PERMANENTLY, Paul did not CURSE him and did not KILL him.

You don't have to kill your enemies to show the power of God.

YOU CAN SUSPEND THEIR OPERATIONS IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

You can even walk in God's wisdom. Such that your enemies will be surprised.

The apostles were and deciples of the early church were greatly persecuted and killed, but they never pray for the death of their persecutors.

You can win the enemy in love.

Hope it helps?

The bible didn't say :
"now there is no CORRECTION for any one who is in Christ Jesus"
CORRECTION IS DIFFERENT FROM CONDEMNATION.
if a believer has done wrong, we correct him.
And a believer too must accept that he is wrong and make amendments.
To refuse correction is grievous.
"Brother why did you lie, don't lie again, it behoves who you are in Christ"
This above statement is not condemnation it is a correction.
BELIEVERS ARE NOT LAWLESS PEOPLE.
We are corrected when we are wrong.
Taking heed to correction is part of Christian growth.

The bible didn't say pray
The bible didn't say rebuke
The bible didn't say quote scriptures.
The bible says run!
Escape!
Don't stay one minute.
He says flee fornication.
Avoid it totally.
1corrinthians 6: 18 "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body."
Fornication is a destructive sin, don't indulge in it at all. Avoid it totally.
Escape through the window.
Don't satisfy your desires when it comes to fornication.
You have been bought, Glorify God in your body still.

Quoting a lot of bible verses doesn't also mean your applications are correct.
Peter made this clear
2peter3:15-16
"15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction."
They misread PAUL'S writings to their own destruction?
So you can be quoting so much, but explaining and applying them wrongly.
The cure to this problem is humility in learn
Humility!
Appolos was a critical example
Act18:24-25
24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
So, appolos can quote bible, he can speak too, he has good oratory skill. But he is limited in his teaching, he knows only John's baptism. He can't be effective in the work of the ministry that way.
But he summit himself to learning form Paul's associate.
Act18: 26 " And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly."
Now, the effect of his submission to learning was seen.
Act18:27-28
27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
He became more effective in the work.
If you know those who teach scriptures correctly, let them help you, be humble to learn.
This is called faithfuness.

"I am a grace preacher"
"I am a faith preacher"
" I am a wisdom preacher"
There is no such provision in the Bible.
A pastor can not afford to be a specialist,
2timothy3:16-17
: 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. "
Throughly furnished, that is, to be sound all round.
Ephesians 4:11 "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;"
Why were they given?
Ephesians 4:12-13
"12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: "
Perfecting the saint
Edifying of the body
Bring us all to the unity of the faith
To give us the knowledge of the son of God
To bring us to the fullness of Christ.
A specialist can't do this.
Grace is not all there is in Christ, Faith is not all there is in Christ.
We have good things in Christ, and the work of a preacher is to bring the believer to the knowledge of all.
The "this is my message things" has led many into error, weaving all sort of error together to arive at what they call their message.
A Preacher should be a bible teacher, not a specialist.

Should a Believer Marry an Unbeliever?

God loves to make a separation of his people from the world. As a believer you are not of this world.

1. John 17:14-16 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

2. John 15:19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

At such Paul issued stan warning as touching Christian relationship with unbelievers.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18
[14]Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
[15]And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
[16]And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[17]Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
[18]And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

The believer is called:
RIGHTEOUSNESS.
LIGHT
CHRIST
BELIEVER
TEMPLE OF GOD

The unbeliever is called:
UNRIGHTEOUSNESS
DARKNESS
BELIAL
INFIDEL
IDOL

Obviously we are both different in our spiritual state. The believer has been called out of darkness, he has been redeemed by the blood. Washed, and accepted of God.
The unbeliever is unrepentant toward the goodness of God, at such he remained in his sins..

Does this mean we shouldn't have any form of connection or interactions unbelievers? Nope! That will be a form of unrealistic doctrine, looking at the fact that, we relate with unbelievers daily. They are our teachers at school, course mates, colleagues at work, landlords etc.
We have to then interact with them on this basis.

However, we must know the limit of our interactions with them, we must not share their ideology, we don't see things the way the world sees them, we see from God's word. AT SUCH A BELIEVER CAN NOT MARRY AN UNBELIEVER.

WE HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO DO GOOD TO ALL MEN, unbelievers included.

Galatians 6:10
[10]As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

I believe one of the major good we as believers can do to unbelievers is to PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THEM. Etc

Whereas we owe the responsibility of doing good to the unbelievers. We are not to marry them.

As a believer, let your choice of marriage be amongst brethren, this one that you always fall in love with unbelievers should stop!
.............................

What then happens, where two unbelievers married, after which, one of them decieded to receive the life of Christ, and now is saved?

The advice is not to divorce. Paul admonish them to live together in peace, this is so because through their living together, the believing one might convert the unbelieving one.

1 Corinthians 7:12-14
[12]But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
[13]And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
[14]For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

Never mistake this verse to mean that a believer can marry an unbeliever, as from its context it talks about those who found their Christian faith after marriage.

Hope it is clear?

BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE ANOTHER DOCTRINE READ THIS.
Before you negate another doctrine, you must ask yourself, am I zealous according to knowledge?
See this Romans10:1-2
" 1 Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God on behalf of my fellow Israelites is for their salvation.
2 For I can testify that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not in line with the truth."
Can you see that? You can be zealous and your zeal is actually fighting against God's word, in your mind you think you are fighting for the truth rather you are fighting against it.
What does the bible teaches on this matter?
Act13:40-41
40 Watch out, then, that what is spoken about by the prophets does not happen to you:
41 ‘Look, you scoffers; be amazed and perish! For I am doing a work in your days, a work you would never believe, even if someone tells you.’
Paul says watch out, so that you won't be fighting against God, when people preach what God is doing, you can fight them, persecute them, go against them simply because you didn't know what God is doing, Paul says watch out!
Once saved forever saved is heresy
the spirit of man and God is one, for where?
We already have eternal life in Christ, no it is heretic,
water baptism is no more neccesary we are already baptized into Christ by his spirit, this is a big lie!
MOG before you declare any doctrine as heresy, Learn from Paul.
Paul A.K.A Saul was so zealous of the law.
He attested to Stephens death, to him Stephen was against the law
ACT7:58 "When they had driven him out of the city, they began to stone him, and the witnesses laid their cloaks at the feet of a young man named Saul."
Act8:1 "And Saul agreed completely with killing him."
Paul really hate to hear anything about the name of Jesus or church, To him it is blasphaming against the law
Act8: 3 " But Saul was trying to destroy the church; entering one house after another, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison."
Thank God Paul encountered Jesus, those he persecuted were the once he now had to accompany with, the same gospel he called heresy he will now preach with the same zeal.
Paul told unbelieving Jews , ah I was once like you, right now I know the truth
Act22: 3-4
3 " I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
4 And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women."
Paul admitted he was then ignorant, he did it in ignorance, he never wanted to hear any sermon from Peter, John or James. He was really zealous without knowledge.
1timothy1:12-13
"12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief."
Paul now ended up preaching against the law and exalting the grace message, he wasn't rigid, he changed, you must be ready to learn and change if there is any need to.
You can relatively quote a lot of scriptures it doesn't mean your judgements are correct, listen to properly connection of scriptures and adjust if you have believed in lies before.
Appollos was good at quoting scriptures too.
Act18: 24 'And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus."
There was a but, he knows only Johns baptism, that is all the Bible verse he quoted will be used to explain johns baptism.
Act18:25 "This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John."
We can say, he had a mind set, his mind set was John's baptism, it like many a Christian today, their mind set is on the law, so every bible verse is used to explain same, if the bible says "righteousness" to them, the bible meant keep all the laws, they never wanted to hear a correct teacher explain same in context, they tag him as heretic.
But, appollos was wiser than many, in all his magnanimity, he learned and adjusted. See it here.
Act18: 26 "And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly."
Can you see that, Aquila and Priscilla were pauls associate in the ministry, but appollos submitted to learning and he adjusted, he became more effective in ministry because of that bible training he had.
Act18:17-28
27 "And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ."
He now became more profiting to God, he taught Christ more.
Many people argue blindly, they say this and that is heresy, you ask them, have you listen to that teaching before? They replied No! How then did you conclude it is heretic, they will say because my pastor says so. You must be very funny, people like you get to know the truth in heaven.
Carry the teaching, carry your Bible too, is it the truth? is this teaching in line with the word of God? If it is, it changes nothing, just neglect the falsehood and cling to the truth you now know from the word.
Some will pick a phrase out of a 1hour teaching, and conclude it is heresy, ah ah, why are you like this, listen to all, after listening and you discover it is heretic discard same, if it is the truth adjust to it.
Some will try in there unintelligent zealousness to counter a point backed up with enough scriptural references, well explained and established as truth with just one or two bible verses wrongly interpreted, it's a proof you have not been studying, you are just a lazy believer.
People like you are easily decieved, have you read in act, how that the apostles were persecuted without any reason? When people properly show you the truth and you refused it, you are a wicked person, you are just like the Pharisees and saduces.
let me show you how the Pharisees and saduces operated.
Peter healed a lame man at the gate called beautiful
Act3:6&7
"6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God."
On account of this miracle people gathered then Peter and John preached Jesus to the people. But the saduces and the priest were so anoid,
They arrested them, and asked by what power do you do this miracle? They can not deny the miracle, but they tried to fight the miracle still.
Act4: 7 "And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?"
By the names of Jesus Peter replied, then see the evil in them, they can't deny that the man was healed, they can also not deny that the healing was done by Jesus' name, but they denied the message still, they are evil, see it here
Act4:13-17
" 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
16 *Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.*
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name."
Can you see it, we can't deny it but we must stop it. They are evil, such is anyone who sees the truth properly taught and still denies it.
I tell you before you negate another doctrine, make sure you find it out in the Bible, whether it is wrong or right, the bible is the standard for doctrine not any man's experience.
And the joy is that, we can't be deceived, when we see falsehood we know it, when we see the truth taught our spirit bear witness.
1corrinthians2:14-16
" 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."
Can you see that? the believer knows the mind of God, because he has the mind of Christ he can't be decieved.
John established same
1John2:18-21
" 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth."
glory to God, John warned by verse 18 that there are many anti Christs, but by verse 20 he said, we have the spirit of God, we know all things, in other words, no one can decieve us, by 21 he said, you know the truth, wow! We can't be decieved.
you are deceived by heretic preachers because, you gave yourself over to deceit, you know it is not proper but because you think it will benefit you, you adopted it as truth. They tell you to bring your money that God will double it, you dropped it because you handed yourself over to deceit, you don't like to give to God, you gave out of selfishness, that is why materialistic preachers can milk money out of you with heretic teaching, if you don't give God will not bless you, that teaching is heretic but people believed it, because they gave themselves over to it.
You tell people to laugh in the Holy Ghost, they will say, ah ah, we must be orderly in the church, despite the fact we showed them in the Bible they refused it, but when they see commendians in church they laughed. Who decieved them, they deceived themselves, they handed themselves over to that lust.
Paul warned us about this time,
2timothy4:3-4
"3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
Can you see it? They heaped to themselves teachers.
hope this blessed you.

LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU

There was something significant about the death of Jesus, it is the fact that Jesus was willing to die. God did not force death on Jesus, he chose to die just to save man.
Isaiah53:7 "He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth."

Jesus, went to the cross in total agreement with the will of the Father, he uttered not a word, he was ready to die for mankind. No wonder, Paul in the book of Philippians explained this truth thus: Philippians2:7-8
" 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."

He was obedient, because, the Salvation of mankind is dependent upon his sacrificial death and glorious ressuractionn.

This was confirmed at Gethsemane, we saw Jesus,, surrendering to the will of God,, as he was about to drink of the cup containing the sin of mankind, he was still obedient. Matthew 26:36,38&39
"36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."

At Gethsemane, the humanity of Jesus, was revealed, if Jesus were not a man, he wouldn't have uttered those words, he was indeed having a second thought, see, Jesus was tempted, but because of you and me, he surrendered to the will of God, this is the love of God revealed in Christ Jesus. Many a believer, wouldn't even want to sacrifice anything for another man, they wouldn't want to sacrifice for the work of the ministry, for evangelism, to give to the needy, it is because they never understood this love that was revealed in Christ.

You see, Jesus made it clear, he said, I died for your sins, because, I love you and you also need to show that love to others, John15:12-13
"12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." can you see that love one another, as I have loved you. Brethren, our Christian life style must be anchored, on the finished work of Christ. This means, we need to take our initiative from what Jesus did, if Jesus so loved us that he died, if God, this self sufficient God so loved us that he became a man, then we all need to love others and be ready to sacrifice. Love is critical issue in Christianity.

Paul, said, "let this mind be in you", what mind sir, let us look at Philippians two again,

Philippians 2:2-5
" 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:"

So we can see in context that Paul was talking about our Christian lifestyle, most especially our relationship with others, hence when he said let this mind be in you, he was about to give us a pattern of Christian living in the verses that followed, thus, verse 6 to 8 that followed speaks volume:

" 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."

So, Paul is saying, we should arm our mind with the sacrificial works of Jesus, we also should emulate his sacrifice, we should be willing to sacrifice, in other words, we should display this divine love.

Oh, many a believer are too self centered, and we were designed to love. We were made to love, see, selfishness is sin, the first manifestation of sin in the garden of Eden was selfishness, Adam said "is it not the woman you gave me", in other words, Adam was trying to exclude himself from the whole thing putting eve in the center. You shouldn't be selfish as believer, learn to share what you have.
Luke the writer of act, intentionally displayed the love that existed in the early church, Act2:44-46
"44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,"

This is the life God envisaged, where we had all things in common because, we have resolved to give, some churches are even funny, they have special seat for the rich, ah, James calla them, "the judges of evil thoughts. In fact in James two, brother James gave a critical argument in this regard.
James2:1-7(NIV)
"1 My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism.
2 Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in.
"3 If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here’s a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet,"
4 have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
5 Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?
6 But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?
7 Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?"

I love James, he carefully and skillfully based his argument on the finished works, did Jesus not die for both poor and rich? Then why will you favour the rich over the poor, he now said love your neighbor as yourself. Love is king, it is the only law, love delivered us from sin, he said "for God so love the world".

John explained this point better, he said in 1John3:16
"Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."
So, if indeed Jesus died for us, we should be ready to replicate same in sacrificing to others, we should love others.
the verses that followed speaks volume

1John3:17-18
"17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."

Can you see that? Demonstrate your love.

Love, love and love, what we inherited in Christ can only be maintained by love, you can demonstrate the spirit only in love.

this is the summary of the matter, God was the first to love us through the sacrifice of his son, and we beholding that love were enabled to love more.

Giving is part of this sacrifice, give to the gospel, give to the needy, give to me of God.

Evangelism is part of this demonstration, if someone laboured in word to get you saved, you should do same to others.

And many more.

Always remember that you were bought, and you must do the will of he that washed you and gave you an inheritance amongst the sanctified. Let this mind be in you that Jesus gave himself for me and I am supposed to live for others.
