TOPIC: FINANCIAL DOMINION FOR KINGDOM ADVANCEMENT
SCRIPTURE: Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. Zechariah 1:17
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The spread of God’s kingdom in the earth requires the availability of kingdom resources.
One major purpose of financial dominion amongst God’s children is the advancement of God’s kingdom on the earth. God does not release resources to His people merely for personal comfort; He does so to facilitate the spread of His kingdom and establish His purposes in the earth.
Our anchor Scripture reveals that prosperity is one of God’s instruments for kingdom expansion. The spread of God’s kingdom across communities, cities, territories and nations often requires substantial resources.
The preaching of the Gospel, missionary endeavours, neighbourhood outreaches, crusades, medical outreaches, welfare interventions, and other kingdom activities, all require financial power. Every major move of God in the earth demands the availability of people who are willing and able to sow into kingdom assignments.
For example, when large evangelistic outreaches are organized, enormous resources are usually needed for transportation, logistics, technical support, accommodation, welfare ministration, and many other operational needs. Without resources, many kingdom assignments would remain visions rather than realities.
This explains why the enemy is not comfortable with a prosperous Church. A financially handicapped Church will struggle to carry out the Great Commission effectively. Poverty can limit movement, restrict outreach, and hinder the ex*****on of divine assignments.
There are many believers whose hearts burn with passion for souls and nations, yet they are unable to pursue those burdens because they lack the resources to do so. Their spirit is willing, but their pocket is weak. God desires to bring His people into financial dominion so they can actively participate in the spread of the Gospel and the advancement of His kingdom.
Financial dominion is also essential for the building of God’s sanctuaries in the earth. That is why Isaiah 45:13 says, I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city. Throughout Scripture, God used men of substance to establish places of worship and facilitate His work among His people.
David was a remarkable example. His love for God compelled him to prepare abundantly for the building of the temple of God. In 1 Chronicles 29, David testified that he had prepared with all his might for the house of the Lord, giving generously from his personal treasures in addition to all that had been gathered for the project. His affection for God’s House translated into sacrificial financial commitment.
Beloved, kingdom advancement requires kingdom resources. God is looking for men and women who will not only possess financial dominion but will also dedicate their resources to the promotion of His agenda on the earth. When God prospers His people, one of His expectations is that they become active participants in the spread of the Gospel and the establishment of His kingdom.
REMEMBER THIS: The spread of God’s kingdom in the earth requires the availability of kingdom resources.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Pray for God to make you a financial giant for kingdom advancement.
2. Commit yourself to giving towards evangelism, mission works, and other kingdom projects as God enables you.
3. Refuse to see prosperity as a personal achievement alone; view it as a tool for advancing God’s purposes on the earth.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for the light of Your Word. Make me a willing and faithful channel of Your resources for kingdom advancement. Cause me to prosper so I can actively participate in the spread of the Gospel and the building of Your kingdom, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
