Before we show kindness to strangers, we must first show it to those closest to us.

How do you speak to your spouse?

How do you treat your children?

How do you respond to your parents, siblings, or neighbours?

Our homes should be the first place where the love of Christ is seen and experienced.

It is easy to be kind to people who are kind to us.

The real test of Christian character is how we respond to those who offend us, disappoint us, or disagree with us.

Jesus calls us to respond with grace instead of bitterness and compassion instead of revenge.

Kindness has the power to soften hearts and restore relationships.

Fear: A Deadly Enemy of God's Purpose

Fear is one of the greatest enemies of faith.

It has stopped many people from becoming who God created them to be.

Fear whispers:

"You're not good enough."

"What if you fail?"

"What will people say?"

"It's too late."

But faith declares:

"God is with me."
"I can do all things through Christ."

"If God has called me, He will equip me."

Throughout the Bible, God repeatedly told His people, "Do not be afraid."

Why? Because fear keeps us from obeying God, taking steps of faith, using our gifts, and fulfilling His purpose.

Moses feared he couldn't speak.

Gideon feared he wasn't strong enough.

Jeremiah feared he was too young.

Yet God used each of them because they chose to trust Him instead of their fears.

The absence of fear is not courage; courage is obeying God even when fear is present.

Ask yourself today:

What has fear stopped you from doing?

Is it serving God?

Sharing your faith?

Forgiving someone?

Starting a ministry?

Pursuing your calling?

Don't allow fear to write the story of your life.

Let faith lead you into God's purpose.

📖 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust You more than my fears.

Give me the courage to obey Your voice, walk by faith, and fulfill the purpose You have for my life. Amen.

Practice What You Have Learned

Thank you for worshipping with us today.

The fruit of forbearance is seen not in church alone but in how we treat people during the week.

At home...

At work...

In traffic...

On social media...

In difficult conversations.

This week, let your patience, kindness, and forgiveness reflect the character of Christ.

Who can experience God's love through your patience this week?

Prepare Your Heart for Worship

As you prepare for tomorrow's worship service, ask yourself:

Is there anyone I need to forgive?
Is there someone I need to encourage?
Am I carrying anger into God's presence?

Come with a heart that is willing to love, forgive, and grow.

Invite someone to worship with you and experience God's transforming grace.

Forgiveness Is Part of Forbearance

It is difficult to bear with people if we refuse to forgive them.

Holding on to bitterness hurts us more than the person who offended us.

Forgiveness does not always mean forgetting or pretending nothing happened. It means releasing the desire for revenge and trusting God with justice.

A forgiving heart experiences true freedom.

"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."

Love Covers Imperfections

No family is perfect.

No church is perfect.

No friendship is perfect.

No marriage is perfect.

If we expect perfection from people, we will always be disappointed.

Forbearance allows us to love people despite their imperfections, just as Christ loves us despite ours.

Today, choose understanding over criticism.

Grace over judgment.

Love over resentment.

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."
