Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this...SOOOO GLAD I TOOK THE TIME TO READ THIS!

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes.
Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see.. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.
Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.
Was that important? Absolutely!
Is it really significant? Yes!
In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition.
When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it..
The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now, if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.
The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'.
But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table,
because........... The folded napkin meant,
'I'm coming back!'

I watched a video online criticising how offerings and tithes are been collected in church, so I decided to do this.
I suggest we all read all of these Bible passages and I pray may Christ be renewed in our hearts and may we have clarity as to what way he wants it to be.
but before I say anything let's get one thing clear
The New Testament is not a complement for the Old Testament it is a replacement. Hebrews 8:6-8.
and again Matthew, mark, luke, and John are not the New Testament but historical records of Jesus leaving on earth,historical records of his existence as a man under the law, and has stated in the book of Hebrews 9:16 a testator must die before a new Testament is established, verse 17 states " a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth."
so we establish this that the old covenant was to be put away because of its fault.

and just to clear the air as regards the commandment, we can't say or force all men to put it off, but Jesus revealed what he really wants.
Romans 2:12-29
deeply states that whoever wishes to be for the law would be judged by it.
To put the matter on the old and the new at rest let's all read Galatians 4:19-31
God made a covenant with Abraham,we all know that but Abraham decided to help God by creating Ishmael who the Bible refers to as the child of the bondwoman.
Abraham created 2 covenants and the first in allegory was called bo***ge because it came from mount Sinai and just so we forget Moses got the law from mount Sinai where we all assume that he saw it met with God, well he never did, angels gave Moses the law on mount Sinai. and Galatians writer by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit refers to as bo***ge and LO the second covenant was what God had in store for us all the promise of new Jerusalem.
let me shock you, do you know that not only Satan was the accuser ? Moses who gave the law was also an accuser, John 5:45 Jesus speaking said "do not think I will accuse u 2 my father: there is one that accuseth you,even Moses,in whom Ye trust.
I wish I could go on and on but I pray the comforter who will not speak of himself but of him that sent him reveal to us all the deepest things of dark places.
Moses gave the Israelite the law then he turned to God asking for God's favour, Numbers 11:15
he gave the law but he was saved Even by Grace. the devil wanted Moses body or have we forgotten?

it's a very heart breaking thing that people give but not with understanding.
Of all the people who brought to the temple Jesus gave credit to a woman who brought the least but yet her all, isn't it obvious Jesus was saying I don't care how much you give if it's not your all its nothing. meaning what you give is not the real deal but how you give what you give, he gave conditions to giving,he said if u have a fight with Tue brother go settle it first before giving your offering, can't we see what he wants, he wants us to be at peace with everyone so we could have peace within ourself. if you want to follow me you go all the way leaving old creature,you no longer have your life to yourself.
listen to this, until a man becomes a born again, born of Christ he has no life because Christ in is own words said "I am come that you may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10.
so until you look for urself in Christ you don't know who you are,you don't know the real you until Christ is revealed to you.
so giving comes out of the understanding of the word of God which is JESUS.
whether you pay your tithe or not,whether you give offerings or not, you're not doing it for God.
hear this, there can never be anything we can do that will please God. let me rephrase, no man on earth can ever please God,only the son came down to die for the sins he did not commit which earn him all the powers both In heaven and on earth.God said this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased, so we through Christ sacrifice become pleasing Before God. can't dabble into that right now.
so your offerings and tithes does not please God, because he wants it for nothing, you pay your tithe for you,you give offerings in church for you.
you know what the father said to me,he told me "Son stop asking me for what I've given you already, stop asking me for things,i don't give things." I was confused but then I told him Lord Jesus,I'm confused please help my understanding, and he said haven't you read, Luke 6:38
Give and it shall be given unto you:good measure,pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.
and I screamed because I got the message. he said I am not a man I don't give things but when I want to really give you something,i give u myself.
he said I am your shield and your rewards.
so when you give your offerings ND tithes you're saying thank you Lord for this privilege to bring to you and in return For bless you.
now whether you pay your offerings and tithes or not you're blessed already.
but There are blessings and there are BLESSINGS.
let's look at a classic example from the book of 2kings 4:
this tells us the story of the shunammite woman who with wisdom spoke to her husband to give the servants if God dinner, lest we forget this woman was called a notable woman, obviously she was rich, and her religious status was of no relevance yet she got done blessings,
she went from giving the servant of God dinner to building him a house, and then what did she get in return?
1- God gave her something she couldn't get by herself.
she had cried, probably visited hospitals for check ups to see what their childlessness was about but she couldn't conceive but when she gave to the prophet God did the unusual. you know
she had forgotten that having a child was a need for her, so when the prophet asked her, she said she had no need, she said " I live among my own people."
she had longed for a child that she had already given up.
it God through his servant blessed her with a long time expectation.
2- God restored the dead son, which u would agree with me,what your prayers can't do,your offering can, your tithes can, only if you wanted to try.
the child died and Elisah was still In the house and God restored the child back to her, now hear this one whatever God puts in your hands he doesn't take back.
3-God saved her household from famine of seven years,
the prophet told her in chapter 8, to go the land of the Philistines and dwell there for 7 years, so her future was secured, she got saved from famine because of what? OFFERING.
4-Now she was gone for seven years and before she got back, her land has been take by the government, so, she went to the government house to appeal for her land and when she was sitting with her son the king and Gehazi was coming out in the lobby when he mentioned how God used the great prophet to raise a dead child back to life,and just then He saw the woman and what better way to give a Testimony than to hear it from the source, the king was so eager to hear the woman tell it to him, then he asked what she was there for, so what happened next, the king appointed a certain officer to go return the woman's land and the proceeds thereof from the day she left until the day she returned, now see this aren't you thrilled?
she left her land for seven years and the government managed it for seven years, so whatever she land had been used for she is to be given everything made From the land, now she didn't pray, she didn't fast, it wasn't recorded that she scream herself out In groaning all she did was to give.
now look at this
the same 2kings 4:13
When Elisha was asking the woman what she wants,
look at everything Elisha listed to her.

she was spoken for to the King.
2
a certain official, so it wasn't just anyhow official who couldn't deliver the biddings of the king, "a captain "
she got what she didn't even ask for.
which brings me to the point
when you give to anyone, you're not doing God any favour, you're doing yourself a favour.
I pray may God help our understand to revealing more and more of Christ in us.

just so you might be thinking that's my reason for saying this and I am not saying you should come give me dinner or build me a house or any man of God, God has a way of providing for his vessels..
I am just a Jesus lover. who has seen his faithfulness and greatness.
"He who receives the prophet in the name of the prophet will receive the reward of the prophet."Matthew 10:41
I pray God will give your sister a prophets reward.

Not every preaching has power to save,when hell is preached people run to the front out of fear.
just as you can sleep with the Bible and the devil can still slap but you may sleep without a Bible close to you physically and the devil stays far away from you.
asking an unbelievers to give his/her life to Christ is not it, because they simply have no life,is it that useless life outside Christ they want to offer to Christ? what will christ use it for?
so, u don't ask them to give their life to Christ when they have no life.
so, you ask them to invite Christ into their heart then when he enters into their heart he said " I am come,that you may have life."
For a man to be saved,he needs to come by faith, and faith only come by the message of Christ.
so,what is the message of Christ?
1corithians 15:3
Paul speaking.
1. a sinner needs to know that Christ died
2.that he was buried
3. and that he rose again the third day according to the gospel.
so the Gospel is the message of his
1.death
2.burial
3.resurrection
4.ascension
and
5. glorification
A man died,
A man was buried,
A man rose,
A man ascended,
and
A man is seated in heaven.
which brings me to the point

God does not live in heaven.......

Ihe redemption of any man lies in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
and just to make it all clear an simple the books of 1corithians chapter 3 verses 12 downwards is written."No other foundation can any man lay than that which is laid which is Christ Jesus"
so our foundation stands sure leaving us with the option of how we build and what we build on this foundation.

Grace (Jesus) was unmerited but yet we got it.
God's grace was made available by the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.
it's written by Grace are u saved. in this context (Ephesians 2:5) Jesus was this grace by which we are saved and this gives birth to you serving the lord.
you don't come to church to appear to impress somebody, you don't come to church because you bought a new cloth, you don't come to church because you wanna marked present, you come to church because you love him( God) for giving you the most amazing gift he could've ever given.
as it is difficult to leave that sugar daddy of yours who pays you daily, how do you let go of a guy who gives u all you could've ever requested, That should've been our relationship with God, we cherish all these worthless things more than the greatest gift of God.
with Grace you have all.
God's grace is all you need...

Double portion of Grace...........
Jesus is the great grace we're talking about.
how is that so?
as written in the 1st chapter st John verse 17 it's written "for the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."
as to the order of time and entrance on his work, Christ came after John but in every other way he was before him. The expression clearly shows that Jesus existed before he appeared on earth as man. All the fullness dwells in him, from which alone fallen sinners have, and shall receive, by faith,all that renders them wise,strong,holy,useful, and happy. our receivings by christ are all summed up in this one word, Grace:we have received "even Grace." a gift so great, so rich, so invaluable,the good will of God towards us. and the good work of God in us.
Jesus is that grace that came to us.
grace is not a thing,its a person and that person is Jesus....
so whatever you think you've had enough of, there is always a double portion.
request his double portion of Grace today and receive a wonderful turn around....

A NEW SONG
Before a new, there must have been an old. The song you sang that requires a new must be better than the previous.
Life is a battle, from birth to death , every where you may find yourself is a battle ground and when you fight this battle and victory is guaranteed you get a reward and that reward is the new song you sing when you gladly say that . This battle is over, this storm is over, this fighting is over, and I decree into your life today that the lord will give you a new song to sing today.
It is not proper that a man should die prematurely leaving the wife a widow and the children fatherless, and why does this then happens ? Because most father have ignored the things of God that would have sustained them longer than the enemies may have planned.
Anything you use for the lord can never be found wanting in your hands.
The devil knows what you are to become in the future and that's how he does everything to fight it.
Now how do I get a new song?
1- Get information: don't sit at a location, you have to move,opportunities does not come to you without a corresponding effort. E.g. The three lepers that fed on the lots of the Syrian in their very own camp.
2- Take a step: singing a new song is not what you wish, not what you pray for but what you take a step towards..
How do you preserve new song?
1- prayers
2- fast
3- thanksgiving and praises. Until you learn to celebrate what God has done you cannot command another towards you. Learn to appreciate Gods awesome At every chances you get.
Do these and your songs of victory will one change you from glory to glory, the more battles you fight the more victory you earn.
