LET GOD ANNOUNCE YOU: SHORT NOTES ON VISIBILITY IN MINISTRY (1)

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, THE HEAVENS WERE OPENED TO HIM, and He saw THE SPIRIT OF GOD descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And SUDDENLY A VOICE CAME FROM HEAVEN, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17, NKJV, emphases mine)

Our Lord Jesus remains the author and finisher of our faith – our template and perfect example in the service of our King! The short passage above clearly tells us how and who announced Him: God and God alone!

From the passage above, we clearly see that the following underpinned Jesus’ public ministry:

* i. Open heavens – from whence He constantly drew support and impetus
* ii. The Spirit of God – from whom He constantly drew strength
* iii. The voice of God – upon which He constantly relied to get His message out

The three resources above flowed constantly into Jesus’ life and ministry because He pleased God!

Though, SUDDENLY, God’s voice came from heaven to announce Him, Jesus had been in the business of pleasing God for thirty years! Yes, thirty neat and slow years. That His announcement happened SUDDENLY does not mean the process that led to the announcement was SLOVENLY!

It’s been over 3 years since COVID-19 hit the planet! Yes, it pleased the Lord to announce us to the globe around that time and it seemed like it happened, suddenly! But, no, the Lord had told us that the way of the Remnants is to first take root downward before we can bear fruit upward (Isaiah 37:31).

It pleased the Lord to make us take root downward for fourteen years. In those fourteen years, we were stretched past ourselves - we were stripped of all human crotches until our trust was anchored in the Lord alone. We sure did not understand it all, but our security was sturdily established in God. It was clear the Lord had us on a leash. Our hearts rejoiced constantly in the fact that we had fou

Sister Favour is one of the richest and most famous ladies in the church.

She is extremely rich but, from what I heard, she only started with frying Akara and selling sugar in her little store.

It's true she's a graduate and I don't think that's the reason she's this rich. I don't think.

Some people said she joined the "small girl, big God" gang. You know what I'm talking about, right?

I actually doubted all this gists and that was why I summoned courage and decided to indirectly ask her for the secret behind her wealth.

Amazed, she said "I just gave my all to God and He decided to double my earns by giving me a business idea.

He asked for my entire savings, you know it sounds crazy and unrealistic. How can I give all my life savings to you, God? I asked Him.

I thought he'd change his mind but, no, He didn't!

He kept saying, " Give it all. All."

"Did you give it all or half of it?" I asked expecting a NO as an answer.

"Who am I not to give it all? Who am I to disobey my creator? I gave my life savings and He opened up heaven's bank on my behalf.

Dear, if Abraham had not given it all, he wouldn't have been called the father of all nations. If he had withheld Issac, he would have lost all.

He was willing to give his dearest and he got more than he desired.

Give it all if He demands for it."

What is God demanding from you?

Is it your time, talent, gift and etc.

*MINISTERS PLEASE BEWARE!*

1. When you are sick, don’t go on fasting.

2. When you are fasting and you become unwell, break the fast immediately and treat yourself because it's only the living that can fast.

3. If you are a preacher and you are not strong enough to preach, don't force yourself to impress your members. Don't pretend to be a supper-man. Allow someone else to preach. If you die on the pulpit, your members will be the first to say, "We told him to be resting; he refused" Only the living can preach.

4. If you are sick and you are demonstrating faith, if after three days, you are not healed, take medications. It is not a sin.

5. If you are doing dry fasting and you discovered that you have started seeing 'The burning bush', drink water immediately and break your dry fasting.Then try it another day.

6. Don't go and die before your time because of unnecessary competitions with a fellow pastor.

7. If you are ageing and all-night prayer is having effect on your health, stop it.

8. If your wife or any of your children is sick at home, don't leave the person unattended to and rush to church. Treat them first before church: God is FIRST. Family is SECOND. Church, career, business, etc. are THIRD.

9. Always check your sugar level and your blood pressure.

10. If you are told that robbers are operating on the road, park your vehicle somewhere, pray, then hide.
When they are done with their madness, start your journey or return home. Don't faith it!

11. If you went for a prayer vigil and you discover that you're too weak to drive home after the vigil or feeling dizzy while on steering, park your car in a safe place and try take a rest before proceeding on your journey.

*Always remember WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPAL THING.*

*May the Almighty God grant us divinely-piloted long life with good health.*
*May we not be ignorant to the level of dying careless death in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen*

10 BRUTAL TRUTHS THAT EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW.

1. You're going to die and you have no idea when.

Stop pretending that you're invincible. Acknowledge the fact of your own mortality, and then start structuring your life in a more meaningful way.

2. Your material wealth won't make you a better or happier person.

Even if you're one of the lucky ones who achieves his or her materialistic dreams, money only amplifies that which was already present.

3. Your obsession with finding happiness is what prevents its attainment.

Happiness is always present in your life--it's just a matter of connecting to it and allowing it to flow through you that's challenging.

4. Donating money does less than donating time.

Giving your time is a way to change your perception and create a memory for yourself and others that will last forever.

5. You can't make everyone happy, and if you try, you'll lose yourself.

Stop trying to please, and start respecting your values, principles, and autonomy.

6. Your achievements and successes won't matter on your deathbed.

When your time has come to transition from this reality, you won't be thinking about that raise; you'll be thinking about the relationships you've made--so start acting accordingly.

7. Your talent means nothing without consistent effort and practice.

Some of the most talented people in the world never move out from their parent's basement.

8. Nobody cares how difficult your life is, and you are the author of your life's story.

Stop looking for people to give you sympathy and start creating the life story you want to read.

9. Investing in yourself isn't selfish. It's the most worthwhile thing you can do.

You have to put on your own gas mask to save the person sitting right next to you.

10. Time is your most valuable asset--you need to prioritize how you spend it.

You have the power and responsibility to decide what you do with the time you have, so choose wisely...

• Someone graduated at the age of 22, but waited 5 years before securing a good job.

• Someone became a CEO at 25, and died at 50.

• While another became a CEO at 50, and lived to 90 years.

• Someone is still single, while someone from his school group has become grandfather.

• Obama retired at 55 & Trump started at 70.

• Everyone in this world works based on their time zone.

• People around you might seem ahead of you & some might seem to be behind you.

• But everyone is running their own race, in their own time.

• Do not envy them.

• They are in their time zone, and you are in yours.
