THE THOMAS GENERATION:
WHAT EVIDENCE DO YOU HAVE THAT JESUS IS ALIVE?
There's a generation of unbelievers out there around you who are asking for evidence that Jesus Christ is alive; here evidence that you can present daily to them.

Text: John 20:24-29; Romans 8:18-20.

The Thomas generation is here demanding evidence from Christians that Jesus Christ is alive. Just like Thomas asked questions and Jesus showed him evidence, we also as Christians have a responsibility to show people evidence that Jesus Christ is alive.

1. Our oral confessions before people as evidence. Acts 1:8, Colossians 4:6, 2 Timothy 4:2. Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ at every opportunity is a testament that we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

2. Our commitment to Christian service as evidence. Matthew 28:1-20. Our commitment to the progress of the kingdom of God wherever we are is not optional, it is a very strong response to Jesus command that we should occupy and get busy with his service till he comes.

3. Our lifestyle as evidence. Ephesians 4:21-32, Colossians 3:1-10, Matthew 5:13-16. Our way of life is a direct reflection of our convictions that Jesus Christ is alive and coming back. When a Christian looses this conviction he or she lives carelessly.

4. Our demonstration of the power of God. Mark 16:15-18.
After the resurrection of Jesus, He gave the believer power by the Holy Spirit to do signs and wonders. This is not for showmanship but to show that Jesus Christ is alive.

5. Our testimonies of God's Wonders in our lives. David had loads of testimonies that emboldened him against Goliath. Your testimonies will put you ahead of your enemies and bear witness that Jesus Christ is alive in you.

It should however be noted that while some people will be convinced that Jesus Christ is alive others will not.
The death and resurrection of Jesus is beyond any controversy, Jesus Christ came, was afflicted, died and resurrected and is seated at the right hand of God.

Finally the Christian must daily carry about these evidence that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and is alive.

✍️ JESUS IN THE GRAVEYARD signifies that even the darkest, most difficult situations in our lives are not permanent because God's power can bring new life out of defeat.

I tell you today that as Jesus is in the grave, it seems like a victory for his enemies, but no, it is actually the necessary pause before victory. When you see no progress, God is still working!

Jesus didn't just experience death; He went into the depths of the grave. This means He understands your pain, depression, and loneliness. You are not alone in your darkness.

Jesus is the first born from the dead, Colossians 1:18. He is the first to rise from the dead, never to die again! He holds supreme authority over the new creation. It marks Him as the "firstfruits" (1 Cor 15:20)

The tomb is a dark place that affirms His humanity, affirms His sacrifice, and ensures His resurrection when the tomb will eventually be empty!😃

The everlasting joy for the children of God today is that the tomb is now a temporary place of rest rather than an end, it provides hope for resurrection! Hallelujah 🙌🏼😃💃🕺

THE DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST WAS FOR OUR SUBSTITUTION, BUT THE RESURRECTION WAS FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION AND EMPOWERMENT, FOR HIS GLORY.
MAY THE SPIRIT THAT RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD QUICKEN YOU, AMEN
