COLLECT FOR THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY.
( 2006 - 2026)

Dear Heavenly Father,

We give You humble and heartfelt thanks for the twenty wonderful years of Your grace upon St. Timothy’s Chapel, Opeyemi-Ibereko, in the Diocese of Badagry (Anglican Communion). We bless Your holy name for the vision that brought this church into being, for the faithful founding members, and for the shepherding care of our Bishop and clergy through the years.

Lord, we thank You for every season of growth, every sacrifice made in faith, and every life that has been touched by the ministry of this church. We praise You for answered prayers, testimonies, healings, miracles, and the transforming work of Your Holy Spirit among us. Truly, You have been our help and our strength from generation to generation.

Gracious Father, as we celebrate twenty years of Your faithfulness, we commit the future of this church into Your hands. Continue to guide the leadership of Your servant the Bishop, strengthen the Chaplain and all workers, and empower every member to serve You faithfully. May this church remain a house of prayer, a beacon of truth, and a light of the Gospel in our community.

Lord, steer the boat of our faith forward. Let the latter glory of this house be greater than the former. Build in us strong faith, deepen our love for Christ, enlarge our witness, and make us instruments of peace, healing, and salvation to the world around us.

Grant that St. Timothy’s Chapel may continue to flourish in unity, holiness, and mission, bringing glory to Your name and drawing many souls to Christ our Lord.

All this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Amen.

Blessed be the name of the Lord!

This week, the anointing of the Lord will break every yoke of limitations on your way.

By the power of God, you shall subdue the works of Sin and Satan.

The Glory of God shall encamp around you and your entire household.

Throughout this week, you shall live secured, and you shall enjoy constant deliverance from the attacks of the enemy.

Receive more grace to live pleasing to God and in full alignment to his plans and purposes.

Psalm 146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. 5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

The psalmist, in giving us more reasons to praise God, warns us against the costly mistake of trusting people in place of God—trading lasting gold for temporary brass. Human strength is limited and unstable; people can fail, change, or fade, and when they do, our hopes can collapse with them (vs4). But true and consistent joy belongs to those who place their hope in God, whose help is sure and whose faithfulness never wavers (vs10). In a world of shifting loyalties and uncertainties, anchor your trust in God, not in human ability—because lasting happiness flows from relying on the One who never fails.

Confession: Almighty and Everlasting Father, I declare this day that you're my sure help. I hold unto you and I trust in your faithfulness. Amen!

Psalm 147:1 - Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

(Vs 10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. 11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy).

This day, we are reminded that praise is not just powerful—it is right, fitting, and beautiful for us to lift our voices with songs of praises and adoration unto God; it is good, pleasant, and deeply appropriate for those who truly know Him. As the Psalm unfolds, we see that God’s delight is not in human strength or outward ability, but in those who fear Him and place their hope in His mercy. Beloved, in a culture that celebrates self-reliance and visible strength, choose instead to trust God and cultivate a lifestyle of praise—because true beauty before God is found in a heart that depends on Him and delights in honoring Him.

Confession: My month is daily filled with songs of praises to God, and I increasenly abound with many reasons praise God. God's praises shall not cease from my lips. Amen!
