Marriage is not about that reception hall, the cloths, shoes, bags, make up you are going to wear.

It is not about all those nice picture that you are going to show to the world.

Don't get me wrong am not against all those things, Infact they are fantastic if your man or his family are up to the task.

What are the most important things?

1. Drag him to your parents
2.Drag him to your church
3. Drag him to your pastor
4. Make sure there was introduction before you become a mother
5. Make sure there was church marriage before you become a mother
6. Lastly make sure you were legally bind together in the court before you start carting his baby.

My reasons.

The man can be unfortunate one day and say he wants to have second wife;

Who are you going to cry and report him to?

Your shepherd with more than one wife?
You parochial committee that already slept with all the female chorinsters?
Your elders that are doing outside chicks ( iwo egbe)?
Your circuit head that is polygamy
Your provincial head that has more than 2 wives?
The church administrative office that fornication and adultery is their addiction

They will just be looking you like what is wrong with your husband getting another wife.

That is when the traditional, church and your court wedding will speak for you in court.
