12 Things God's..
Mercy Will Not Do..
"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Lam 3:22-23.
Men and brethren mercy of God is one of the greatest expressions of His love through Jesus Christ,
Mercy forgives sins, restores broken lives, heals the wounded, and delivers the oppressed. However, the Bible also teaches that God's mercy never contradicts His holiness, righteousness, truth, or justice.
Mercy is not permission to continue in sin but an invitation to repentance and transformation.
1. God's mercy will not excuse deliberate sin
(Romans 6:1 -2)
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Prayers- Father, forgive every deliberate sin in my life, every spirit sponsoring habitual sin, lose your hold over me in Jesus' name.
2 God's Mercy will not replace obedience..
(1 Samuel 15:22 - 23)
And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
God values obedience above religious activities.
Lord, help me obey you completely, every spirit of rebellion, come out of my life in Jesus' name.
3. God's mercy will not support pride, pride attracts God's resistance.
(James 4:5 -8)
Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, Thou spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Father, remove every root of pride from my life, clothe me with humility.
4. God's mercy will not eliminate the need for repentance, repentance is God’s doorway to restoration.
(Acts 3:18 - 19)
But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Holy Spirit, convict me wherever I have gone astray, create in me a clean heart.
5. God's mercy will not reward laziness, God blesses diligence.
(Proverbs 10:4)
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
Prayers- Father, destroy every spirit of laziness and empower me to work faithfully.
6. God's mercy will not cancel the law of sowing and reaping, choices have consequences.
(Galatians 6:7 - 9)
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Lord, help me sow righteous seeds and by your mercy, redeem every wrong seed I have sown.
7. God's mercy will not bless dishonesty, God delights in truth.
(Proverbs 12:22)
Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
Every lying spirit, leave my life, Lord, establish integrity in me.
8. God's mercy will not ignore persistence unbelief, Faith is essential for walking with God.
(Hebrews 3:19)
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Father, increase my faith, every spirit of doubt and fear, be destroyed.
9. God's mercy will not revise God’s word, God always keeps His Word.
(Numbers 23:19)
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Lord, align my life with Your Word, let every promise concerning me come to pass.
10. God's mercy will not justify wickedness, God never calls evil good~
(Isaiah 5:20)
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Father, separate me from every evil practice, deliver me from hidden works of darkness.
11. God's mercy will not save you if you reject Jesus, He is the only way to the Father.
(John 14:5 - 6)
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Lord Jesus, establish me firmly in your salvation, let nothing separate me from you.
12. God's mercy will not leave the truly repentant unchanged, mercy produces a transformed life.
(2 Corinthians 5:17)
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Prayer To Break Barriers
Father, transform my character and let every old habit die, let Christ be fully formed in me.
O Lord, let Your mercy speak louder than every accusation against my life in Jesus' name.
Every ancestral yoke resisting the mercy of God over my life, break by fire.
Blood of Jesus, silence every voice speaking against my destiny.
Every evil covenant working against my progress, be broken by the blood of Jesus.
Every chain of sin, addiction, failure, delay, and stagnation, break now in Jesus' name.
By the mercy of God, I receive restoration, divine favor, healing, open doors, and victory.
I declare that my life shall reflect God's holiness, power, and mercy all the days of my life, in Jesus' mighty name.
(Psalm 103:8)
"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy."
May the mercy of God preserve us, transform us, and establish us in righteousness through Jesus Christ. Amen.
