🇳🇬 NIGERIA, MAY YOU FULFILL YOUR GOD-GIVEN DESTINY 🇳🇬

On this 66th Independence Day, I pray for Nigeria, our beloved nation, and for every Nigerian, at home and across the world. 🙏🏽

I pray that the labour and sacrifices of our heroes past shall not be in vain. May the dreams they carried for this nation find expression in our generation, and may we build a Nigeria that future generations will be proud to inherit. 🇳🇬

I pray for the Executive, the Legislature, and the Judiciary. May God grant wisdom, justice, courage, and integrity to all who bear responsibility in our nation. May every responsibility entrusted to them be exercised for the peace, progress, and wellbeing of our nation. 🙏🏽

I pray for every Nigerian—the young and the old, the struggling and the thriving, the worker, the farmer, the business owner, the student, the professional, the entrepreneur, and every family. May God strengthen you, preserve you, provide for you, and prosper the work of your hands. ❤️

I pray for peace across our land, unity amid our diversity, opportunities for our young people, strength for our families, and grace for everyone believing for a better tomorrow. 🕊️

Above all, I pray that Nigeria will fulfil her God-given potential and shine brightly among the nations, in Jesus’ name. ✨

🇳🇬 Nigeria, we will not give up on you. We will keep praying, we will keep believing, because we know that there are better days ahead. 💚🤍💚

*Happy Independence Day, Nigeria! 🇳🇬🎉

đź“° CHURCH NEWS | GLOBAL FAITH STORIES

Some stories are more than headlines — they remind us that the Gospel is still reaching hearts and communities in unexpected places. 🌍

🇲🇬 1. A REMOTE MADAGASCAR VILLAGE HEARS THE GOSPEL

Ambodibibaka, a village so remote that it cannot be found on most maps, recently hosted an Operation Christmas Child outreach after previous attempts to bring the Gospel had faced strong resistance.

More than 1,400 children and their families attended the event and heard the Gospel, many for the first time. Samaritan’s Purse reports that roughly 1,500 residents responded to the invitation to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Follow-up discipleship classes are now being led by trained volunteers from nearby churches.

🇺🇸 2. REVIVAL REACHES CALIFORNIA

Thousands of college students from across Southern California gathered at Pepperdine University on September 22 for Unite LA, a worship gathering connected to the UniteUS movement.

The evening featured worship from UPPERROOM and messages from Madi Prewett Troutt, Grant Troutt and Tonya Prewett. 19 students were subsequently baptized at Pepperdine's Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool. UniteUS separately reported that hundreds responded to the Gospel during the gathering which was followed by baptisms.

🎸 3. BILLY CORGAN: “I’M A CHRISTIAN”

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan recently spoke openly about his Christian faith during a conversation with Stryper’s Michael Sweet.

Corgan said he had made a conscious decision to speak honestly about God and his belief in Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, even while acknowledging that talking about faith could potentially affect his career.

> “If it was going to hurt me, I didn't care.”

The conversation was featured on the September 23 episode of Corgan’s podcast, The Magnificent Others.

🙌 4. HALLELUJAH CHALLENGE RETURNS THIS OCTOBER

Nathaniel Bassey’s Hallelujah Challenge is set to return from October 5–30, 2026, with the theme “THE LORD REIGNS” — Psalm 97:1.

The online worship and prayer gathering will culminate in the Hallelujah Festival on October 30 in Lagos. The October edition is expected to bring participants together in worship, prayer and praise from different parts of the world.

🔥 REVIVAL WILL COST YOU SOMETHING

Leonard Ravenhill reminds us that genuine revival is not birthed by activity alone. It demands prayer, brokenness, repentance and a heart completely surrendered to God.

The question is not whether we want revival.
The question is: are we willing to seek God deeply enough for it to begin with us?

🎙️ A timeless message from Leonard Ravenhill.

What does revival mean to you? 👇🏽

CELEBRATING A LIFE OF FAITH, VISION & GENERATIONAL IMPACT

Today, we honour Bishop David Oyedepo — a father of faith, teacher of the Word, builder, author, mentor and a man whose life has become a testimony of what can happen when vision meets faith and unwavering commitment to God’s assignment.

Through Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel), a local mandate grew into a global ministry reaching nations and raising generations of believers, leaders and ministers.

His legacy can be seen in more than the size of the congregation. It is reflected in the institutions, people and structures that have emerged from the vision:

Canaanland, Ota — a landmark centre of worship, education and ministry.

Faith Tabernacle — the 50,000-seat worship centre that became synonymous with the ministry’s global gatherings.

Covenant University — an institution established to raise leaders through education, character and purpose.

Faith Academy — extending the vision of raising a generation beyond the pulpit.

WOFBI — training and equipping thousands of believers and ministers across nations.

The Ark — the monumental new worship auditorium at Canaanland, designed to accommodate 109,000 people, representing another chapter in the ministry’s extraordinary story.

But beyond the buildings, the numbers and the institutions is the man.

A man who has spent decades preaching faith.

A man who has taught generations to believe God, pursue purpose and take responsibility for their destinies.

A man whose ministry has produced churches, ministers, leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and institutions.

A man whose message has travelled from Nigeria to nations across the world.

Today, we do not only celebrate what has been built.

We celebrate the builder.

We honour the years of sacrifice.
We honour the consistency.
We honour the teaching.
We honour the vision.
We honour the leadership.
We honour the faith.
We honour the lives that have been transformed through the assignment.

Bishop David Oyedepo, we celebrate you.

A Father of Faith.
A God’s General.
A Trailblazer.
A Teacher of Faith.
A Builder of Institutions.
A Voice to a Generation.

Your life reminds us that faith is not merely what we believe — it is what we build, what we pursue and what we leave behind for generations.

Happy Birthday, Bishop David Oyedepo.

REVIVAL IS COMING — BUT DO WE UNDERSTAND WHAT IT REALLY TAKES?

Revival is one of the greatest desires of the Body of Christ. But beyond the prayers, gatherings and excitement, what is revival really, how can we recognise it, and how can it be sustained?

In The Anatomy of Revival, Prophet Isaiah Macwealth explores the foundations, levels, dimensions and work of revival, challenging believers to understand and properly steward a move of God.

Revival is more than a moment. It is a move that must be understood and stewarded.
