Biblical Therapy for A Troubled Heart (Part 3)
So I'll share Three Biblical Therapy for a Troubled Heart
1. Jesus' Prescription
Matthew 14:30-31
[30]But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
[31]And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

2. Paul's Prescription to a Troubled Heart
Philippians 4:6-7
[6]Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
[7]And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

3. Peter's Prescription
1 Peter 5:7
[7]Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Conclusion
Do not let trouble overtake your soul. Are you weary, are you heavy ladened, Tell it to Jesus. Jesus is a sure friend who was confronted with the pains that we are confronted with.
When nobody is there, Jesus is always there
When nobody can help, Jesus can help
When nobody is Capable, Jesus is All Capable
Believing in God and Jesus is demonstrated. by absolute submission to God while communicating our troubles with him. Jesus cares. Remember Proverbs 4:23
[23]Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Biblical Therapy for A Troubled Heart (Part 2)
Examples of Troubled Hearts in the Scriptures
1. A Heart that could not Repay Her Debts
2 Kings 4:1 [1]Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead, and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor comes to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

2. A Heart that Lost Investments after Borrowing (The Sons of Prophet)
2 Kings 6:5.[5]But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.

3. A heart Plagued by Wrong Decisions and Fraud
Genesis 27:34 [34]And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

4. A Heart Plagued by Sickness
Luke 8:43 [43]And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

The Two Dimensions of Solution in John 14:1
1. Do not let your heart be troubled
2. Believe in God and also believe in me

The first Part defines human responsibility when trouble comes. It is not the water around a boat that sinks a boat but the water that enters a boat. Troubles are all around us. Troubles often come unnoticed. They may come subtly as;
* Investment (forecast of profit)
*Sickness or demonic attack or affliction
*A pain caused by a friend
*Satanic oppression, obsession and manipulation

Each time it comes, know that it is a package from the devil. So a man's responsibility is to make sure trouble of whatever form does not get into his heart even when trouble shows up.

2. God's Care and Responsibility
God is eternally proactive. Always ahead of the man in everything. Jesus said, "My Father has never stopped working, and this is why I keep on working." (John 5:17). This means that God is always aware that any of His children is in trouble, and immediately God is working on it. So the best thing to do when trouble comes is to pray about It and believe in God and His saving grace. A song says, "Jesus knows all about our struggles, He will guide till the day is done;

Biblical Therapy for a Troubled Heart (Part 1)
John 14:1 [1]Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Trouble often arises without notice, and when trouble comes to a man, the first part of man that bears the burden is the heart or the mind. The heart is very crucial in God's agenda for an individual. So Jesus said, "Let not". Let not means "do not allow, do not permit, do not approve, or prohibit". This has two dimensions:

1. Do not let your heart be troubled
2. Stop allowing your heart to be troubled

* Be careful of what you grant permission. Access is very key in establishing control. Do not permit what God prohibits. If you give the devil a foothold he will make it a stronghold.

Trouble could mean discomfort, difficulty, worry, travail, or inconvenience. Trouble could be physical or spiritual. It could mean a threat to life or an assault. Trouble could be a peril or risk that shakes up the very existential essence of an individual.

So Jesus says let not your heart be troubled, and if you are troubled already, stop allowing your heart to be troubled.

*The Relationship between Trouble and Fear
Remember God gives a disclaimer about Fear
2 Timothy 1:7 [7]For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and a sound mind.

God has not given means,it is not God who gives fear, it is one of the packages of the devil. One of the demonic packages that come with trouble is fear. So, Each time you see it, quickly disperse it, for it is not a gift from God.

Lessons from the Trials of Brother Samson

One of the Problems of Brother Samson was fighting all alone. He was a one man mopol. No synergy, no partnership, no comrades and that was why he fell all alone. He was his only army. He had no team and his weakness was his undoing. Never walk alone.

Have a prayer partner, a team, strong positive friendship. Never fight alone. 'I' is the least word. We are better than I.

Remember Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
[9]Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
[10]For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

Be careful when teaching others because some people are looking for people to authorize their evil ways. Before you talk search the scriptures.

Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. James 3:1(NLT)
