We had a beautiful evening of fellowship at our Midweek Service as Deacon Adekalu shared an insightful message titled ‘Our Earthly Tents.’

Drawing from 2 Corinthians 5:1, 3 John 1:2, Jeremiah 8:22, and Deuteronomy 34:7, we were reminded that while we carry the Holy Spirit, we must not neglect the natural principles of maintaining our health. Our bodies need total healthiness and wellness!

Key tips for maintaining good health:
🌿 Get enough rest (Genesis 2:2).
🩺 Check your body vitals regularly, including blood pressure, sugar level, cholesterol, dental health, and eyesight.
🏃‍♀️ Exercise daily.
💰 Save for medical emergencies.
🥗 Watch what you eat.
💊 Do not abuse drugs.
🚫 Avoid alcohol totally.

We rounded off with an engaging interactive session, reflecting on our health habits, sleep patterns, and overall well being. An engaging and enriched evening indeed!

SERMON

Topic: All-Round Rest
Minister: Pastor Tosin Ayo-Olowo Ayo-olowo Oluwatosin Ayobami
Text: Hebrews 4:1–10

God has prepared a rest for His people, but we must believe His Word and walk in obedience to enjoy the fullness of His promises.

What Rest Is Not

• Not Salvation: It is about enjoying the fullness of God’s promises for our lives.
• Not the Sabbath Day: It is about enjoying the rest we have in Christ Jesus.

Understanding God’s Rest

• Rest Against Unbelief: Rest is spiritual. Despite life’s challenges, we have God’s peace as a promise (John 16:33).
• Rest from the Penalty of Sin: Jesus offered Himself once and for all for our sins.
• Rest in Trials and Difficulties: We can remain confident in God even in difficult seasons (2 Corinthians 5:5–8).

How Do We Enjoy God’s Rest?

1. The Word of God: Give room for the Word of God to work in you (Hebrews 4:12; 6:3).
2. Obedience to the Word of God (John 2:1–7).
3. Faith: You must have faith in God and believe His Word to enjoy His rest.
4. We Have a High Priest (Hebrews 4:14–16).
5. Pay Attention to God’s Instructions.
6. Seek Understanding.

What Makes Us Worry?

• Has God come through for you before? If yes, why worry?
• Give God’s Word first place in your life.

Trust God’s promises, obey His Word, and remain confident in His faithfulness.
