The Bible says that “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” Jesus, the Son of God the Father, given unto us, wasn’t just another preacher. He was the expression of God’s love for mankind, the center of God’s plan for the freedom of mankind, the center of God’s plan for salvation, the blueprint of the pathway of mankind to God, and the revelation of God’s plan for mankind.
The moment man (Adam) fell into sin and lost his dominion to Satan, that same moment all men became partakers of his Adamic nature, which is the nature of sin. But God didn't stop loving man and, as His expression, gave His Son Jesus as the bridge back to Him. God never planned to be separated from man, as He made us to fellowship with Him. He loves us so much and never intended for man to suffer or go through pain as it is currently in the world. Chaos is never God's thing but of the devil. But man lost that fellowship, that grace, the moment he surrendered to the devil, and sin became the nature of man.
Sin created that gap, that pit, that barrier from God. God is on the other side, always ready to welcome you back, no matter how grievous your sins are. He wants you to cross and come back to Him, but the issue is you can come as you are, but there will be a place for atonement, a place for washing, as the blemish of sin won't allow you in. But you can come to that door. It's at that door that Christ purges you, cleanses you, and becomes your passage to the Father. You can't meet God by yourself. It doesn't matter how many good deeds you do, how you plan to live holy, even if you do not do anything bad from childhood, you're still a sinner, as sin is, by default, the nature of man from birth. It doesn't matter if you decide to restitute your ways, do resolutions, or anything aside from coming to Christ first, everything will be futile.
You must first come to Christ by surrendering yourself, confessing your sins, and confessing Him into your heart before your repentance, restitution, or any correction can be meaningful. You cannot save yourself with deeds, no matter what they can be. Even if you feel remorse, beat yourself, become sober, cry, or do anything, you still have to come through Christ for everything to be worth it. You can't save yourself; Jesus is that bridge through which you reach God.
The Bible made us know that salvation is exclusive to Jesus Christ alone; no alternative path leads to God except Him. Salvation cannot be found in any of these but Jesus, the only way to eternal life (Zoe), the only Mediator between God and man, the only Door, the only pathway to eternal life. He is the only and center of God's plan for the deliverance of mankind, i.e., the bridge between God and man.
Acts 4:12 says that neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Romans 5:12 says that as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.
And as sin came into the world through Adam, there must also be a sacrifice that will take away this sin, and Jesus was that sacrifice that paid for the sin of mankind. John 1:29 says “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
Isaiah 53:5 says “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.”
All these references prove that sin required a price and that this price must be paid by an atoning blood, and Jesus was that blueprint who surrendered Himself to pay for it. Then He paid it fully on the cross, took our place, and bore our punishment.
This has brought the whole argument to a conclusion that only Jesus can give man eternal life, and that understanding and believing in Him brings peace, a resting place for our souls. At this point, you need no other argument, you need no other plea because it is enough that you know that Jesus died, and that He died for you.
So, this moment, as you're reading this, all you need to do is trust the Ever-living One and let your faith find a resting place in Him. The great Physician heals the sick, delivers the oppressed, rescues the chained and bound, and the same Physician also saves sinners through salvation in His blood. He shed His precious blood for you; what will you give to Him? Come to Him as a sinful soul this morning, and He will set you free. He'll never cast you out. To come to Him this morning, all you have to do is open the door of your heart. Jesus wants you; open the door of your heart. Do not harden your heart when the message comes to you. There is but one thing to do; Accept Him as Lord, confess to Him, tell Him how hurt you are, how broken you are, and that you need fixing. Jesus wants to fix you, Jesus wants to mend your broken heart, Jesus wants to bring meaning to your life, but He can't force you. He's pleading now, but He won't plead forever.
Would you please sincerely whisper this prayer with me to God?
Dear God, I thank You for Your undying Love. I'm sorry I turned my heart away from and against You. I know You've always wanted me in Your arms. Now I want You in my heart. I surrender my all to You. Please be the Lord over my soul. I confess You as my Saviour, and I thank You for saving me, in Jesus' name (Amen.)
