Sometimes, when God wants to come Big, he usually come late. He came a little late after Lasarus was ill until he was dead and buried. Yet, the story didn't stop there. Jesus called him forth and he who was dead for four days came back to life.

I have a good news for you: your situation, though it seems hopeless, is turning around for good. God is coming Big for you to restore your hope and give you an expected end.

You may have been despised, ridiculed, rejected or called names because of what you're going through. God is coming Big for you to shut the mouth of your mockers. Joseph was sold, lied against, imprisoned and forgotten. Yet, he was remembered by God and his dreams came to past in the long run.

It is your turn to be remembered! Be encouraged!

Exodus 14:15 "And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they GO FORWARD" (Emphasis mine)

What is the situation of your journey in life? Are you stuck? Is your progress stunted? Or, are you thinking of going back to where you took off because you're surrounded by mountainlike problems and pursued by seen and unseen forces?

This was the same situation that the children of Israelites who were being led by God encountered. Even Moses, with his powerful miracle-working rod was dismayed. However, he called on the Omniscient God and he answered. His answer didn't look like a valid one though. Or, how could anyone tell a someone that the way forward is to advance towards the red sea? It doesn't add up.

Well, the one who told them was not someone. He is the almighty God, who can do all things. He is the same God who said "I will do a new thing...I will make a way in the wilderness and river in the desert" (Isaiah 43:19).

The same God is telling you today to Go Forward!

Going forward is not trusting in your skills, no-how or prospect. It is trusting in God who knows the end from the beginning.

You've come a long way to give up now, my brother/sister. Keep going forward!

Joseph was 17 years old and thought he had life by the tail. He was his father's favorite son, and he had the colorful coat to prove it. He was either bragging about how much greater he was than his brothers, or he was reporting on them to his father when they messed up.Anyways, the brothers got fed up of his wahala. Especially when he started telling them of his dreams and that they would one day bow to him.

The brothers responded by throwing him in a pit (koto-aye)

Joseph had a calling to be sure, but he did not yet have the character.

But God was preparing him.

After his brothers threw him in the pit, Reuben planned to come back and save him. But he was too late. The other brothers sold Joseph to a passing caravan as a slave. And from there he endured trial after trial, going from pit to prison and eventually to power.

To his credit, instead of feeling sorry for himself, Joseph used every unfairness and every trial as stepping stones to climb up and get out of the pit he had created for himself when he flaunted his dreams in front of his brothers.

Psalms 105:19 says "Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph's character."

And He developed it.

And eventually, Joseph's brothers did bow before him, just as Joseph had dreamed, but in an entirely different way than he had imagined. Every trial and struggle got him to the point of his greatest calling. Joseph was as far away from realizing his dreams as he could be, and that was when God could actually use him and fulfill the dream.

You might have dreams that are yet to be fulfilled, and it will most likely happen in a way you can't even imagine. Sometimes our most meaningful purpose can be found in our most painful brokenness(betrayals, broken relationships, addiction...) And sometimes what feels like a pit, is really just a training ground.
That pit has a purpose!

GOD'S ASSURED MERCIES

When troubles and despair draw near,
And all seems lost in darkened fear,
We can find hope in one bright place,
The mercy and love of God's embrace.

For in his kindness, he will mend,
Each broken heart that cannot bend,
And lift us up when we feel low,
To face each storm and trials below.

When we feel lost and all alone,
Remember, we're never on our own,
For God is always by our side,
With grace and mercy as our guide.

So let us trust in his divine will,
And feel his love and peace instill,
The hope and joy that we all seek,
In times of trial, though feeling weak.
