TOPIC: JUST BELIEVE!

TEXT: MARK 5:35-43.

MEMORY VERSE: Mark 5:36.
"Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, "Don't be afraid; just believe."

Not believing is what makes many miss out on their miracle.

In today's devotional reading, one of the synagogue leaders named Jairus, came and earnestly sought Jesus to visit his home to heal his daughter who was dying.

While Jesus was on his way, some other thing diverted His attention.

It took a while before He could arrive Jairus' house.

By then, the little girl had died.

Following these developments, those that were with the girl at home, rushed with a message to Jairus not to bother Jesus again.

To them, the worst had happened; bringing Jesus was like medicine after death.

On hearing the sad news, Jairus must have been saddened thinking all hope was lost.

That was the natural way of human thinking.

Some situations arise in life that makes us conclude that all hopes are lost.

Medical report may tell you there is no more hope.

Past experiences of broken relationships may make you conclude that all hopes for marriage is lost.

A sudden business collapse may look like the whole world has collapsed on you.

This was the situation of Jairus, but an encouraging word came from Jesus who told him, "Don't be afraid; just believe."

By the time Jesus reached his house, people were already gathered crying and wailing.

Jesus said to them, "Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep."

They laughed at him.

If you want to tap into divine breakthrough, believe and don't doubt, even if men mock your Situation.

Dead Tabitha will rise again!

PRAYER: Lord, forgive my unbelief. Give me hope in my situation in Jesus Christ name.

O LORD PURGE MY FOUNDATIONS!!!

Psalm 11:3: “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

Psalm 82:5-6: “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”

1 Corinthians 3:10-11 “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

1. I release myself from any inherited bo***ge and limitations in the name of Jesus.

2. O Lord, send Your axe of fire to the foundation of my life and destroy every evil plantation in the name of Jesus

Husband and wife decided to attend a new church, the husband drives in an expensive car valued ₦25,000,000.00 each day they arrive church the husband will alight first, then he will move to the passenger seat to open the car for his wife to alight, The practice of opening the car for his wife continued over time, later other women in the church began to envy the woman, accordingly they began to challenge their poor husbands at home for not treating them like the man who opens car for his wife, that after all, the man is rich yet treats his wife like a queen.

It became a serious issue in some families. While women were praising the man , the men regarded him as foolish man. When the matter got to the man's notice, he requested permission from the pastor to address the church and his permission was granted.

He said:

'The reason I open the car for my wife is because the car lock is faulty and can only be opened from outside, it will cost me about ₦500,000.00 to fix because it has a security chain that connects other systems in the car and I do not have such money now. It is not my normal style to open car door for my wife, we are just managing the car problem.'
