TITLE: Wait patiently for the LORD

SCRIPTURE FOCUS: Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. Psalm 27:14 (NLT)

MESSAGE
Jacob was a fighter from conception. Even in the womb, he and his twin brother struggled against one another.

Esau was born first, but Jacob followed closely behind with his hand grasped tightly onto Esau’s heel. His mother named him Jacob which sounds much like the Hebrew word for “heel” but also for “deceiver.”

All his life, Jacob wanted to be first. He wanted the double portion blessing reserved for the first-born son. He fought for it in the womb and on the day of his birth. He slyly tricked Esau out of his birthright and even deceived his own father to grasp the blessing that rightfully belonged to Esau. Later, when an angel wrestled through the night with him, Jacob would not let go until God blessed him.

Jacob’s desire for the blessing was a noble one, but he was willing to scheme and steal to achieve his ends. He took matters into his own hands and eventually found himself fighting for his life.

When tempted to manipulate or deceive to obtain the blessings of God, we must wait on Him to bring about the promises He has given. When we allow God to mold us, we are prepared to carry the responsibility of the blessing. We must wait for the Lord, practicing patience as He works His will in us.

PRAYER
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. This struggle will become your strength. God is working all things for your good. To Him be the

MESSAGE
Wrestling conjures up images of cages, tights, referees, and atomic drops. While most of us may not literally enter the ring, we do understand the conflict.

Each one of us faces the inescapable struggle to choose what we need to do over what we want to do, what we should say over what we should not. Like a wrestler in the ring, we are pushed, pulled, tugged, turned, spun, and slammed.

In the space between what we prefer and what God requires, we engage in a wrestling match. Our natural inclination – our flesh – pulls against the divine direction. In that gap, God is refining us to be the people He created us to be. Here is where character is forged.

God will grapple and struggle, pull and tug. He will turn our heads, twist our arms, and even break our legs to develop the character that He desires in us. He has a destiny for us to fulfill, a purpose beyond our imagination.

He will engage us in the wrestling match of our lives until we become the people that He created us to be. We have His full support. Until the final bell rings, He will go to the mat for us. He will fight for us to the very end.

PRAYER
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. God is at work in you! The test will become your testimony. The battle will become your victory. May you become all that God intends through His mighty power within you.

SCRIPTURE FOCUS: If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7

MESSAGE
God gave Noah a promise before he ever got into the watery predicament! In spite of the coming flood, He vowed to establish His covenant with Noah and his family. That promise helped Noah persevere!

Even though most of us have not heard the audible voice of God like Noah, He has spoken His Word to us too. Every promise recorded in the Bible belongs to every believer who reads it for himself or who hears it spoken by a pastor, teacher or evangelist.

Every Scripture is God’s message, opened up to share His heart with you. He longs to meet you in the moment of need and demonstrate His love and provision. He instructs you in paths of righteousness, so abundance will fill every corner of your life.

He remembers His Word. It will not return to Him empty, but it will accomplish every purpose for which He sends it (Isaiah 55:11). Everywhere it is voiced, it prospers.

Silence the noise of the outside world. Cease listening to the opinions of people with limited understanding. Stop staring at the circumstances in which you are mired.

Abide in His Word. Allow His promises to take up residence in your heart. He remembers His Word. When you remember it, He will fulfill it for you.

PRAYER
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Every word of God is truth and life! Take joy in His promises to you. He does all things well.

TITLE: Power of Blessings

SCRIPTURE FOCUS: Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. Luke 24:51

MESSAGE
Jewish families have practiced the power of the blessing since the days of Moses. Jewish fathers and mothers bless their children at Sabbath meals and bar or bat mitzvahs.

They place their hands on their heads, and they speak aloud a blessing in the name of God. Their children live under the anointing of that blessing spoken over them by a spiritual authority.

Jesus of Nazareth began His public ministry with eight blessings in the Sermon on the Mount. Over and over, He pronounced believers to be blessed. He made it clear that God intends for us to be blessed.

Traditionally, Jewish rabbis delivered their messages from beginning to end without stopping. However, Jesus paused in the middle of His teaching to bless the little children. The disciples desperately tried to prevent the children from getting to Him, because that is what tradition dictated. However, Jesus welcomed the interruption, gathered them up in His arms, and blessed them. Throughout His time on earth, He imparted blessings to those He taught and touched.

Jesus began His earthly ministry with blessings, and He completed it with a blessing. The final thing that He did for His disciples was to bestow a blessing as He ascended into heaven.

Jesus recognized and demonstrated the power of the blessing. Shouldn’t we?

PRAYER
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Through dedicated speech and believing lips will God open the windows of heaven and bless you beyond your capacity to contain it!

TITLE: Death and life are in the power of the tongue

SCRIPTURE FOCUS: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21

MESSAGE
A miracle in your mouth is waiting to be spoken into existence! The power of the prophetic blessing is released through your supernatural proclamation based upon the Word of God.

When Aaron, the high priest and spiritual authority over Israel, spoke God’s words, His miraculous blessings flooded the lives of His children. God has ordained fathers as the spiritual authorities of our homes. The most powerful gift we can give our children is to lay our hands upon them and speak God’s blessings over them.

We have the ability to release God’s supernatural power into their lives – power that protects, that controls their destinies, that shapes their self-esteem, that bolsters their self-confidence, that speaks levels of success over them for the rest of their lives.

Too many children live under a curse spoken inadvertently by their parents. Toxic words have destroyed their self-image, eroded their hope, and diminished their futures. Parents have the godly mandate and spiritual authority to direct our children in the way that they should go.

Call your children by name, and speak blessings over their relationship with Jesus, their health, their friendships, their academic studies, and every endeavor. Send them out with the angels of God before and behind them and the promise of a victorious day ringing in their ears. Speak life!

PRAYER
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Proclaim the blessings of God over your children, so they will walk in the divine destiny He has purposed for each one. Amen and amen.

TITLE: There is a miracle in our mouths just waiting to be spoken into existence

SCRIPTURE FOCUS: But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. Matthew 12:36

MESSAGE
When God created Adam, He breathed the breath of life – the spirit of God – into him. We are two elements: the dust from which we were created and will return, and the spiritual man which will live forever.

It is impossible to speak without inhaling and exhaling. Somehow, God has connected the breath of the supernatural to our speech. One day, we will give an account for every word that we utter. We will be condemned – or justified – by the things we say.

There is a miracle in our mouths just waiting to be spoken into existence! In Matthew 17:20, Jesus declared that, if we had faith as tiny as a mustard seed, we could speak to a mountain and command it to move. Nothing would be impossible!

By the power of His spoken Word, our God creates something out of nothing (Romans 4:17). When we dare to believe in the promises that He has made, and we speak them aloud, the supernatural becomes reality!

Instead of saying that you "can’t," affirm, “I will, by the grace of God!” Don’t say "impossible" declare that "nothing is impossible with God." In the middle of the trial, boldly proclaim that "the afflictions of the righteous may be many, but the Lord delivers us from them all." There is a miracle in your mouth!

PRAYER
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. As you profess the promises of God aloud, may the “impossible” become your reality!
