Easter celebration is not just a holiday, but a time of deep reflection and prayer. It is a time to contemplate why someone who was sinless would willingly come to take our place.

Our sin was so immense that we had no righteousness to offset it. Yet, Jesus selflessly chose to bear our sins on the cross. What kind of love would compel Jesus to leave his heavenly abode and die on our behalf?

King David also pondered a similar question, asking God why He is so mindful of humanity. The truth is, we are not inherently special, but God, in His boundless generosity, extends His grace to all.

As stated in 1 John 3:1, See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

As you celebrate ponder on these things!

Our minds love closure, which means that when we’re staring down a challenge in life, we long to know as soon as possible how it’s all going to work out. Yet, it is God’s kindness that we can often only see one or two steps ahead of where we are. We are given what we need. This Christmas season may your mind rest where there are unanswered questions.
