FINANCIAL DOMINION (2)

Text: Mark 14:3-6
Memory Verse: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work,” (2 Corinthians 9:8).

The essence of financial dominion is to be rich in every good work. God has given you financial dominion so that in all things at all times you will abound in every good work. Good work is not burdensome to anybody having financial dominion. Some are rich but unable to do good work because they are obsessed with riches. They value money more than anything. They are not generous. They are being controlled by their riches such that it is difficult for them to share their riches with the needy.

Good work is more valuable to the person walking in financial dominion than riches. There is nothing they cannot sacrifice or let go for others. The alabaster box of ointment broken and poured on Jesus’ head by the woman in our text was not only precious but very expensive and could be sold for a large sum. The value of the alabaster box of ointment was nothing to the woman as compared to the good work she desired and did for Jesus. She was commended for the good work while Jesus rebuked those who complained of her action.

Food For Thought:
Being rich in every good work is the essence of financial dominion.

Prayer:
Lord, help me not to be obsessed with money. I receive grace to make money my servant.

*FINANCIAL DOMINION (1)*

*Text:* 1Timothy 6:17-19
*Memory Verse:*
“Cha rge them that are rich in this world that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy,” 1 Timothy 6:17-19.

Our dominion extends to finances. Financial dominion is beyond having money or riches. Financial dominion is mastery of money or wealth. Being rich is not financial dominion. You are not in financial dominion until you are in control of money or until money is your servant. Your attitude towards money is an important determinant of your financial dominion. Apostle Paul was telling Timothy to command those who are rich not to be proud and so obsessed with money. Most rich people trust in their riches and are controlled by their riches so much that they go after riches instead of God who richly provides the wealth.

Financial dominion requires a balanced attitude towards riches. This will help you to do good work and lay up treasures for yourself as good foundation for the time to come and lay hold on eternal life. Financial dominion is to be rich in good works, ready to share or distribute generously whatever God has given you and willing to share with those in need. Financial dominion makes for real life.

SUNDAY 22ND JUNE 2025

RESPONDING TO ADVERSE SITUATIONS

Text: 1Samuel 30:7-18
Memory Verse:* “Then said the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it, Jeremiah 1:12.

Your response to any adverse situation is an important determinant of the outcome. The adverse situation is not as important as your response. Your response to any situation depends on your perception or view point of the situation. You cannot overcome an adverse situation until you see yourself overcoming it. God told Jeremiah in our memory verse that He would hasten to perform His word concerning your situation if you can see it in the light of His word just like Caleb and Joshua. They saw the giants as bread, not as insurmountable problems unlike the other 10 (ten) spies (Numbers 13:30;14-19).

Your confidence in the ability of God is also important. David (from our text) demonstrated his trust and confidence in God even in the face of the hopeless situation he found himself.
He encouraged himself in the Lord, sought the Lord’s direction and the Lord told him to pursue with assurance of total recovery when he enquired of the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6-8). There is no adverse situation that cannot be subdued if one can dare to ask the Lord for guidance and help. David pursued and recovered all (1 Samuel 30:19) as the Lord told him.

Food For Thought:
Your perception of any situation is a determinant of the outcome.

Prayer:
Oh Lord, help me to see You in every situation of my life.

SATURDAY 21ST JUNE 2025

ADVERSE SITUATION (2)

Text: 1 Samuel 30:1-6
Memory Verse: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble,” Psalm 46:1

An adverse situation is one of the beauties of dominion. It is an occasion or opportunity to demonstrate dominion. David was confronted with an adverse situation and was distressed when the Amalekites invaded his city. The city was burnt down, his wives and children, including his men’s families, were taken captives. David and his men wept until they had no more power to weep. The situation was so bad that David’s men wanted to stone him and he was greatly distressed because everybody was grieved by reason of their adverse situation.

However, David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. David, in our memory verse, affirmed his confidence in God as his refuge, strength and help in trouble. Consequently he was sure of his dominion irrespective of any situation when he declared that he would not fear, even if earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea (Psalm 46:2). There is no adverse situation that cannot be subdued, controlled or overcome. The relevance of our dominion is adverse situations. With God on our side we can crush any situation and scale any wall (2 Samuel 22:30).

Food For Thought:
Every adverse situation is an occasion to demonstrate dominion lifestyle.

Prayer:
Father, help me to be confident in Your strength and ever present help in trouble.

FRIDAY 20TH JUNE 2025

*ADVERSE SITUATION (1)*

*Text:* 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
*Memory Verse:* “And the Lord said unto Moses, wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward,” Exodus 14:15.

There are moments we find ourselves in adverse situations. Adverse situations are usually difficult and contrary to us and most times appear beyond our control. Our text and memory verse today are classic examples of adverse situations and they teach us that we can walk over adverse situations. You can overcome or subdue adverse situation, after all you are not helpless as you may think. The Israelites appeared helpless when they were pursued by the horses and chariots of Pharaoh to the Red Sea. Moses cried unto God and they overcame Pharaoh’s chariots and the Red Sea. Pharaoh, with his horses and chariots and the Red Sea were adverse to the Israelites and could have destroyed them, but the situation was brought under control when Moses cried unto the Lord.

Jabez, in our text, found himself in an adverse situation. His mother named him after her experience. He was born in sorrow and his life was being limited by the situation of his birth. He cried unto God too and the adverse situation of life, by reason of his birth, was changed. He prayed to God and God answered him. He overcame the circumstance of his birth and became more honourable. You can overcome any adverse situation if you will call upon the Lord.

We can overcome adverse situations.

Father, help me to look beyond my situations and call upon Your name.

*PRECIOUS IN GOD’S SIGHT*

*Text:* Isaiah 49:16
*Memory Verse:* “Since thou was Precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee; therefore will I give men for thee and people for thy life,” Isaiah 43:4.

You are precious to God and therefore He gave you authority as His representative to dominate here on earth. You do not have to be afraid to take over and take territories.
In Isaiah 49:16 God assured you again saying Behold, “I have indelibly imprinted you on my hand”. Know that you are in God’s hand and cannot be removed or blown out of His hand no matter the challenge. You can exercise dominion with this assurance and can take territories because He that gave you dominion cannot forget to honour His words in your life and also honour your actions of faith in any situation or circumstance.

You are in dominion because you are precious to God. Jesus gave you the authority and you must exercise this dominion anywhere you find yourself. You must carry this consciousness if you must walk in dominion. God traded or gave people in exchange for your life to your dominion here on earth; you are precious and as such indomitable.

Father, thank You because I am precious to You and secured in Your hands.
