WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WALK IN SPIRIT

Living in the Spirit is all about having faith in the Son of God and being a new creature, then walking in Spirit is all about practicing our Faith in Christ Jesus through works of holiness and righteousness.
That's is walking in Spirit means adding good works to our faith.
(Col 1:10; 1 Thess 4:1)

2) To walk in the Spirit means when we don't walk according to the dictates of the flesh, I.e, we don't practice the desires of the flesh- Gal 5:16

3: Walking in the Spirit simply means what we hope in or focus and what we practice.
-What do we hope in or focus? We hope in Christ and focus on heavenly treasure. Our focus and hope in Christ does not end here on earth otherwise we are miserable christians.
-What do we practice? We practice the way, the pattern of life needful for making heaven. (Col 2:6)

4: Walking in the Spirit means when we practice the good fruit that shows our repentance and faith in christ.
(Romans 6:4; 1 Thess 2:12)

5). Walking in the Spirit also means when we practice the fruits of the spirit namely in Gal 5:22-23; Phil 1:11.

To walk in the Spirit is to walk in Christ and walk as Christ walked
1 John 2:6

Also, walking in Spirit means walking in the light of God's word (John 12:35-36)
And to walk in spirit means to walk in fear of God (Act 9:31)

If you as believer is not not walking in the Spirit, then automatically you are walking according to the dictates, desires, prompting, feelings, motives of the flesh that break the law of God and can never please God.

Such desires of the flesh are divided into 4 groups:
A) Sins of lust: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness.
B) sins of impiety and superstitions: idolatry and witchcraft.
C) sins of temper: Hatred, variance discord, envies/jealousy, wrath, strife, sedition, heresies, envyings, murders.

D) Sins of appetite:Drunkness, revellings.

I was once told a story about a man who had three wives. His first wife received his utmost love and affection; he gave her everything she desired and showered her with attention. Although he loved his second wife, his affection for her was not as strong as it was for his first wife. On the other hand, he neglected and intensely disliked his third wife.

Time flew, the sun was about to set on his journey of life. Mr death knocks and order the man to put his house in order for his time is far spent in this plane and his subsequent relocation to another continent. He asked his first wife to accompany him, but she refused, stating that she wanted to enjoy the gifts he had given her. His second wife flatly rejected his request, expressing her desire to marry another man. The man was overcome with grief and wept, unsure of what to do. His third wife, whom he had mistreated, comforted him and declared her willingness to accompany him wherever he went.

This story illustrates the destiny that awaits every human being. The first wife represents our flesh, which we indulge and pamper but ultimately cannot accompany us into eternity. The second wife represents our material possessions, which are transferred to others when we pass away. In contrast, the third wife represents our soul, which accompanies us into eternity in heaven or hell.
So don't neglect your soul today. Listen more to the needs of your soul which is salvation and righteousness in Christ Jesus, feed it daily with the word of God. Deny, mortify and submit your flesh to your soul. Shalom

Pay more attention to Jesus & His word than your critics

I was told an interesting story about a Chinese father who taught his son a valuable lesson about the pitfalls of greed.
He prepared two plates of delectable noodles, with one plate featuring an egg on top. The father instructed his son to select one plate for himself and leave the other for him. The son rationalized that choosing the noodles with the egg on top would yield a greater reward, and he proceeded to do so. However, as they sat down to eat at the same table, the father revealed that his plate of noodles actually contained two eggs hidden beneath the surface. The son was astonished by this discovery.

On another occasion, the father repeated the exercise, presenting his son with the same choice. This time, the young boy deduced that selecting the noodles without the egg on top would be the more prudent decision, as it likely concealed two eggs beneath. Nevertheless, when he began eating, he was shocked to find that there were no eggs hidden in his noodles, and his father had ultimately gained the greater reward. The father then imparted a valuable lesson to his son, stating that covetousness yields no benefits and that one should always prioritize others first.

Greediness is the primary driver of evil and moral decay in our society, resulting in the destruction of lives, homes, and businesses. Cheating others in business may appear smart, but it ultimately leads to your stagnation and hindered growth. We must acknowledge that our existence is temporary, and we will depart this world empty as we entered it. Our lifestyle will be judged by Jesus Christ the Ultimate Judge, who considers greediness a form of idolatry.

Personal Testimony

One decision can change your future.
One opportunity can rewrite your story.

Yes the decision I made in the year 2000 to turn my back on the world & follow Jesus in everything changed my story. It saved me from being a slave to culture of darkness & painful toiling under the sun.

When the opportunity arose that fateful Sunday evening, I took it without knowledge of what lay ahead of me . As I look back on the past years, I am in awe, pondering how my fate would have been different and terrible today due to the numerous ferocious evils that have come my way since then, if not that the Lord Jesus Christ been on my side, successfully fought and won all the battles waged against me.

And because He lives and seated on the throne, there's no fear about tomorrow or what it will brings for He is my present Help in times of trouble. Therefore I must be loyal to Him, fear Him and honor Him above everything in my life. Halleluyah, the "Strength of Israel" has never failed me.

Dear friends, never underestimate the power of one faithful step you can make today by saying "No" to your self will, fleshy lust & embrace the Saviour, obey Him and hate what He hates which is sins and worldliness, your life will change for good, forces that seek your life and destiny will be put to shame and disappointment.

It is profoundly distressing to observe that many contemporary Christians are consistently tormented and harassed by the kingdom of darkness. You cannot have it both ways, partaking in worldly pleasures while claiming a Christian identity. If you refuse to deny yourself and forsake all for the sake of Christ, you will remain enslaved to sin and Satan. Nevertheless, if you desire to lead a victorious life, follow the examples of biblical saints who renounced the world & followed the Lord. Thus, forsake sin & the ways of this world, make no excuses,submit to His word.Trials are bound to happen to test the genuineness of your faith but you'll overcome all.
