Today, as we celebrate Children’s Day, we thank God for every child He has entrusted into our care. Our children are precious gifts, full of purpose, hope, and divine potential. They are lights for this generation and vessels through whom God will do mighty things.

At Calvary Gospel Witness Church, we pray that every child will grow in wisdom, strength, grace, and the fear of the Lord. May they become signs and wonders to their generation, shining brightly for Christ everywhere they go.

As we rejoice, our hearts also go out to the children recently kidnapped in Oyo State, Nigeria. We stand in faith and prayer for their safe rescue and speedy reunion with their families. May God protect them, comfort every grieving heart, and bring lasting peace and security to our nation.

Happy Children’s Day to all our wonderful children! You are blessed, loved, and destined for greatness in Christ Jesus.

Many people today are like the Galatians. They started with faith in God, but later began to depend on religion, good works, titles, traditions, or human effort to be accepted by Him. That is why Paul cried out in sorrow:

“O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you?”

The Galatians had already seen the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ. They had received grace freely, yet they were turning back to the law as if Christ was not enough.

Salvation is not by works.
Salvation is not by human righteousness.
Salvation is not by church activity alone.

Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ.

Many people are still trying to “earn” heaven by their own strength. But the Bible says:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith… not of works, lest any man should boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9

Jesus already paid the price on the cross. His blood was shed for sinners. All God requires is repentance and genuine faith in His Son.

Paul asked the Galatians: “Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?”

In the same way, God is asking many today: Why leave grace and return to bo***ge? Why trust in self instead of the Savior?

The call today is simple: Return to Christ. Believe the gospel. Stop depending on yourself. Accept the finished work of Jesus.

No matter your past, Jesus still saves. No matter your sin, His mercy is available. Come to Him today while there is still time.
Don't be like the foolish Galatians.

Today, we joyfully celebrate God's faithfulness in the life of our father, mentor, and General Overseer — Primate Samuel Olumuyiwa, the revered founder of Calvary Gospel Witness Church.

For eight decades, you have been a vessel of honour, a voice of truth, and a beacon of light to this generation. Your unwavering commitment to the Gospel, your tireless intercession for the saints, and your shepherd's heart have transformed countless lives and established godly legacies.

We thank God for preserving you, strengthening you, and using you mightily in His vineyard. Your life is a living testimony of grace, obedience, and kingdom impact.

As you clock 80 glorious years, we pray that: 🙏 The Lord will renew your strength like the eagle, 🙏 Grant you continued health, peace, and joy, 🙏 And multiply your spiritual influence even more in the years ahead.
