Mercy Encounter 🙌🔥

We came with our hearts open, and God met us with His mercy! ❤️

We danced 💃🏽🕺🏽, worshipped 🙌🏽, prayed 🙏🏽, and received mercy!
It was a powerful time in God’s presence, and we are grateful for every moment.

Indeed, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy…” — Hebrews 4:16

✨ Mercy found us. Mercy lifted us. Mercy changed our story!

ZACCHAEUS: MERCY THAT SEES YOU

“Everybody saw Zacchaeus as a sinner. But Jesus saw a man worth saving.”

Zacchaeus was a tax collector and was despised by many people. He was wealthy, but something was missing.
When Jesus came to Jericho, Zacchaeus climbed a sycamore tree because he wanted to see Him.
But something amazing happened.
Jesus looked up and said:
“Zacchaeus, make haste and come down; for today I must stay at your house.” — Luke 19:5
Jesus didn't just see the crowd.
He saw Zacchaeus.
Jesus called him by name.
And that encounter changed everything.
Zacchaeus responded by turning away from his old way of life. He promised to give to the poor and repay those he had cheated.

“Maybe you feel invisible.”
“Maybe people only remember your mistakes.”
“Maybe you've been labelled by your past.”
But Jesus sees you.
He sees beyond the label.
He sees beyond the mistake.
He sees beyond the reputation.
And when you encounter Jesus, your life can change.
Zacchaeus went up that tree as a man searching for Jesus, but he came down a transformed man.

“One encounter with Jesus can change the direction of your life.”
Zacchaeus encountered mercy.
David encountered mercy.
Peter encountered mercy.
The prodigal encountered mercy.
And you can encounter mercy too.
Don't just hear about mercy. Come and encounter it.

The Prodigal Son: Mercy That Welcomes You Home
This one can be very emotional and highly relatable, because many people know what it feels like to have gone far from God, made mistakes, or feel unworthy to return.

What if you've gone so far that you think God doesn't want you back?
Luke 15:11–24:
The prodigal son left his father's house. He wasted his inheritance and ended up in a place he never imagined.
When he finally came to himself, he decided to go home.
He probably expected rejection.
He probably thought he had lost his place as a son.
But while he was still far away, his father saw him and ran to him.
He didn't wait for his son to become perfect before welcoming him.
Mercy was waiting for him at home.

“Maybe you've wandered away.”
“Maybe you've made mistakes.”
“Maybe you're ashamed of what you've done.”
“Maybe you think you've gone too far.”
“Come home.”
God's mercy is greater than your mistakes.
You may have left the Father's house, but the Father hasn't stopped looking for you.

“The prodigal son encountered mercy.”
“Rahab encountered mercy.”
“David encountered mercy.”
And there's still mercy available for you.
Don't just hear about mercy. Come and encounter it.

People may know your past, but your past does not have the final word.”

Rahab had a past that could have disqualified her. She lived in Jericho, a city destined for destruction. But when she heard about the God of Israel, she chose to put her faith in Him.
She hid the spies and helped them escape. When Jericho fell, Rahab and her family were spared.
The woman whose past could have been the end of her story became part of God's greater story.

“That's what mercy does. Mercy gives you another chance.”
“You may have made mistakes.
*People may have labelled you.
You may even have labelled yourself.”
“But God can rewrite your story.”

“Rahab encountered mercy.
*David encountered mercy*
*Bartimaeus encountered mercy*

And your story can also become a testimony of mercy.”
“Don't just hear about mercy. Come and encounter it.”

Have you ever made a mistake you wished you could erase?”
David was a man after God's heart, but he also made terrible mistakes.
He sinned.
He failed.
He tried to hide his wrongdoing.
But when David came to his senses, he didn't run away from God.
He cried out:
“Have mercy upon me, O God…” — Psalm 51:1
David understood something powerful:
When you have failed, don't run from God. Run TO God.
His failure wasn't the end of his story.
God's mercy met him in his brokenness, and David's story continued.
Maybe you've made mistakes.
Maybe you have disappointed yourself.
Maybe you're carrying guilt over something you wish you could change.
Your failure does not have to be your final chapter.
There is mercy.
There is forgiveness.
There is restoration.
And there is still hope.
MERCY ENCOUNTER
Come with your burdens.
Come with your questions.
Come with your broken pieces.
Come and encounter the mercy of God.
Don't just hear about mercy. Come and encounter it.
