Genesis 12:2 I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be....... God revealed Himself to Abram and called him out of his country. He obeyed God though he did not know where he was going (Hebrews. 11:8). Go called him out to be a blessing. He promised to make his name great, and make him a blessing to the extent that all the families of the earth would be blessed in him. Abram never set out to make a name but God made him great. There is a difference between ambition and vision. Abram did not struggle to become a blessing. As Long as he obeyed God, the grace of God was sufficient to make him prosper. He became very rich in livestock, in silver and in gold (Gen. 13:2). Abram called on the name of the Lord frequently; he walked with God who make him what He wanted him to be.
