DAILY INSPIRATION.

'For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again (Mathew 7:2).

Though Jesus uses this same phrase differently in another passage, here He speaks of us being judged by the standards by which we judge others. He warns us here that we will not "get away with" hypocrisy and an overly harsh and judgmental spirit.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

O God, we know we are to be discerning and unafraid to speak the truth, please teach us also to speak it in love. Keep us from a judgmental, self-righteous attitude. Help us to guard ourselves against wrongfully judging others. Remind us that men give not account to us, but to you. Amen๐Ÿ™

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bo***ge. Thou shalt have none other gods before me" (Deuteronomy 5:6-7).

Moses reminds the nation Israel here in Deuteronomy, just before they entered the promised land, of the 10 Commandments they received from God when they stood before Mount Sinai. The first of those commandments was that He, the only true God and the God who saved them out of slavery in Egypt, must be the only God they worship.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

You, Lord, are my God and my Savior. You brought me out of slavery to sin in the world. You alone must be first in my heart. I cannot serve you and money. I cannot serve you and worldly pleasures. I cannot make another god stand beside you and be a true worshipper of you. Help me to dedicate myself fully to you, Lord, that I be not double-minded or double-hearted. In Jesus name I pray. Amen๐Ÿ™

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"He must increase, but I must decrease" ( John 3:30).

John was content to decrease in perceived importance and popularity among the Jewish people if only Christ Jesus would correspondingly increase. Like a man introducing another at the podium, he was all too willing to step down and let the one he introduced take the limelight. He knew himself unworthy to be even a lowly slave of Christ, to unloose the straps of the sandals of one so exalted and holy.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Lord, let us be content to be a door keeper in the house of our God rather than to dwell in the tents of the wicked (Psalm 84:10). Help us to decrease in our own estimation and you to increase. Lessen our opinion of ourselves to that which squares with truth, and help us to see increasingly how exalted and glorious you truly are. Amen๐Ÿ™

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Here we see a great truth about the acquisition of Christ's likeness by the believer. He beholds, contemplates, sees by faith the glory of Christ. And where is that found? It is found in God's Word! And beholding the glory of Jesus Christ, he is changed little by little into His image. But not automatically, but by the Spirit.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Help us to think and dwell on the glory of Christ, O Lord. Help us to see it in your Word and to see it with the eye of faith. Change us from "glory to glory" by your Spirit, in the way that Paul refers to in this precious and powerful verse. Amen.๐Ÿ™

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him" (James 1:12).

Temptations abound. As a Christ follower, we must understand that we will face temptation regularly. Even Christ was tempted. However, Christ did not give in to temptation. He withstood it. Using his example, we can also withstand temptation. The Lord knows we will be challenged, but He promises that we will be rewarded for staying strong and not giving in to temptation. When we do not allow temptation to separate us from the love of God, then we will be blessed with eternal life.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Dear God, When I struggle with temptation, help me to cling to you. Do not allow me to fall under the weight of temptation and give in. I know sin separates me from you โ€“ help me to withstand temptation and hold strong to your truths so that I will never be apart from you. Help me to follow the example your son, Jesus Christ, gave us when he resisted the devil. Give me the strength to endure temptation so that I may spend eternity with you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen๐Ÿ™

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8).

The comic depiction of a red devil with horns and a tail has caused many to not take the devil seriously. Yet, the Bible reminds us that the devil is real. From the very beginning, the devil has sinned and has tried to get others to sin. He is the opposite of good โ€“ he is evil. When people sin continuously without putting faith in Jesus, they are committing works of the devil. Thankfully, Jesus Christ was sent to destroy the devil and the powers of darkness. We can trust this promise.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Dear God, help me to recognize the powers of darkness and to understand the allure of sin is from the devil. When I am tempted to sin, help me to turn my back and run directly into your arms. When Jesus was tempted by Satan, he did not give in to temptation. Instead, he recalled your Word. In the moments when sin is calling my name, remind me of your Scriptures. You have come to set the captives free and break the bo***ge of sin. Thank you for the victory we have in Jesus! In Jesus' name I pray. Amen๐Ÿ™

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee" (Psalms 5:11).

Who can we depend on for safety and protection? You may have some in your life who you trust, but we live in a fallen world. Even those we trust may let us down. But, those who place their trust in the Lord will always be protected. Those who do not place trust in themselves or in others, but instead trust God, will find refuge. Why? Because God's love is for eternity. No matter what you face here on earth, you can rest knowing you will spend eternity with your savior.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Dear God, help me to place my trust in you alone. You alone are worthy. Help me not to become too self-dependent or self-righteous. Help me to avoid putting my trust in people who will hurt me. When I am tempted to rely less on your strength, remind me that you are my refuge and strength. Thank you, O Lord, for defending me and protecting me. You fill my heart with joy. May I continue to rejoice in all you have done and will do. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.๐Ÿ™

NEW MONTH'S PRAYER.

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD.

[1] The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. [2] He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
[6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever"(Psalms 23:1-2, 6 NKJV).

Goodness is God giving us things we do not deserve; Mercy is God holding back the judgement we deserve because Jesus experienced it in our place. As we allow Jesus to be our Shepherd this month and always, we need not let fear and worry rob us of Joy. Take refuge in His Goodness and Mercy this month and He shall prepare a table before you even in the presence of your enemies in Jesus name.๐Ÿ™

HAPPY NEW MONTH.

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;" (1 Timothy 5:1).

There are likely older believers in your life. Here, Paul tells Timothy not to rebuke his elders, but to come to them the way he would come to his father. Then, he tells Timothy to treat younger men as his brothers. Similarly, you can treat older believers in your life as you would a father or mother. Don't be harsh with them, but come with respect and humility. With younger believers, treat them as you would a sibling. Do not taunt or be rude to them. Do not act as though you are better than them. Rather, treat them with respect that you would want to receive from those who are older than you.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, make me respectful and humble as I interact with those older and younger than me. If I see something in their life that needs correction, give me wisdom and humility to address it. Lead me by Your Holy Spirit, and do not let me do it on my own strength. Let me correct others because I love them and You, not for selfish gain. Thank You God that You correct me in love and not wrath. Let me correct and treat others how You treat me and how I would want to be treated. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen๐Ÿ™

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly" (Psalms 106:6).

We are sinful. Every human has sinned โ€“ except Jesus, of course. We have all sinned and fallen short. We have all done wicked. It is not how God created us to be, but we chose to rebel and when we did, we changed. Adam and Eve chosed to eat the fruit. God created us to be able to choose, and we chose evil. Our nature changed to sin nature. It is not in us to be wholly good or uncorrupt. That is how we are now.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I know I am sinful, evil, and wicked. I know I've done wrong to others, and I know I have sinned against You. I cannot choose to be good on my own. I cannot save myself from my sins. I am sorry. I repent of my wickedness. I come to You in the name of Jesus, who makes it so that I can come before You. Amen๐Ÿ™

26/02/2025

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD." (Psalms 34:11).

Do you know the fear of the LORD? If you don't, pray about it. Ask God to teach you the fear of the LORD. Perhaps read scripture to teach you about fearing the LORD: Matthew 10, Deuteronomy 10:12, Ecclesiastes 12:13, or Hebrews 10:26-31. There are many more parts in scripture that are about fearing God, but that is a good start. Now, if you do fear the LORD, you ought to teach children to also fear the LORD. Do not keep your knowledge to yourself. Build others up by teaching them the knowledge you have gained.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I fear You. You are awesome and mighty. The world is in Your hands. You control the wind and the waves. You make the universe turn and the stars burn. Volcanoes erupt, hurricanes blow, and storms only happen with Your permission. The very breath in my lungs is in Your hands. You are holy and perfect, and I am not. I deserve Your judgment. I deserve hell and torture. Thank you for sending Jesus to cover me so that I can be in Your presence. Thank You for sending Jesus to bear the punishment of my sins. I do not deserve Your love, and yet You love me. I come to You in the name of Jesus, who makes it possible for me to come before You. Amen๐Ÿ™

22/02/2025

DAILY INSPIRATION.

"Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever" (Psalms 73:23-26).

Trials and tribulations are inevitable in this life on earth. For as long as the enemy is around, he will try to weigh us down and wary us with many problems. There will be times where we will physically and emotionally feel like we cannot go on. God will give us strength and refresh us throughout the way. He will hold our hand and be with us, no matter what we face.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Dear God, I thank you that even when everything around me has failed me, you will never fail me. Father, in troubling times I ask that you strengthen me and give me the resolve I need to endure. I know that this tough time will pass and all will be well. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen๐Ÿ™
