Let's meditate on the Word
Topic: BLINDNESS
Scripture: Mathew 20:29-34
And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. And, behold, two blind men sitting by the wayside, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. And the multitude rebuked them because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
Blindness is the inability to see anything, including light. If you’re completely blind, you see nothing. If you’re partially blind, you might experience cloudy vision and seeing only shadows.
John 9:16, Therefore, some of the Pharisees said, ‘This man, Jesus, is not from God, because he does not keep the Sabbath.’ Others said, ‘How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?’ And there was a division among them.
Remember, you may have two eyes complete but you still remain blind because of ignorance and the hardness of the heart. Spiritual blindness affects your spiritual life by increasing your risk of falls and your quality of life, also have big impact on your destiny as well as bringing Depression, this has been linked to your relationship with God.
From the scripture (Matthew 20:29-34) Not all follow Jesus because of His taught, some follow for loaves, some for love, while some for the sake of those that want His taught whereas some to know their duties. Jesus confirmed his doctrine by the miracle wrought in the presence of a great multitude which is why the two blind joined in prayer pleasing to God.
