DIVINE AUTHORISATION FOR UNSTOPPABLE GROWTH

_*Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end... (Isaiah 9:7).*_

Once, many years ago, the Lord said to me, “Son, keep growing.” Instantly, it registered in my spirit and I understood what He meant; it was a license to grow, a divine authorization to keep making progress without restraint. And that has been my life and my experience; anything I get involved with grows, and the growth is ever-increasing.

For example, this devotional is available in every known language and dialect of the world and distributed in every known nation and territory on earth. This isn’t the work of a man. Our Healing Streams programme reaches over 7 billion participants around the world and in every language known to be spoken on earth.

This is somewhat astonishing and a mystery to some people, so they say it can’t be real. Well, it’s God’s work, and when you understand how God works, you’d know He gives different graces as He wills. Also, the Bible says He sets boundaries that men can’t pass over (Psalm 104:9). In other words, there’re people whose boundaries, the extent of what they can achieve, have been determined by God. When they reach that measure, they’ve fulfilled what God assigned to them and God is pleased because they’ve fulfilled His purpose.

But for some of us, our progress is unstoppable; it’s ever-increasing until the Master shows up. The Master Himself is the greatest example of such ever-increasing and limitless growth. The prophecy about Him says, _*“Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end...”*_ (Isaiah 9:7).

That means His government, His rulership, dominion, and peace, never stops. It keeps spreading until it takes over the whole world. His peace keeps expanding as we declare and enforce it in all nations. Hallelujah.

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, thank you for your purpose and your direction for my life. I receive your Word into my spirit and I walk in the light of your plan. I keep growing, increasing and expanding in all that you have appointed for me. My life produces results that glorify you, and your peace and dominion spread through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

* LIFE

I’m fortified by God’s Word and strengthened with might. I’m more than a conqueror by the power of God’s Spirit. The Word of God has gained ascendancy in my life and it prevails over my spirit, soul, and body in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

I maintain my victory in Christ Jesus.

I completely reject anything that hurts or binds, because I have been delivered from all the oppression of the enemy.

My new life in Christ is a super-life.

The life of God is active in me by the Holy Spirit.

That life is evident in my spirit, soul, and body, causing me to live above the decadence and flawed systems of this world.

*SUNDAY, 17TH MAY 2026*
*GUARD AGAINST DECEPTION*
*PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME DSc. DSc. DD.*

_*But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ (2 Corinthians 11:3).*_

Genesis chapter 3 exposes a recurring and dangerous pattern of deception that has persisted throughout history. It begins with Eve faithfully recounting to Satan what God had said about the tree of knowledge of good and evil that was in the garden of Eden: *“...We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.”* (Genesis 3:2-3).

Then Satan responded, *“...Ye Shall not surely die”* (Genesis 3:4). He contradicted God directly. But it didn’t end there. The next verse reveals something deeper as Satan continues, *“For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil”* (Genesis 3:5).

With that statement, Satan moved from contradicting God to accusing Him of deception. It’s the same thing today; those who are masters of deception accuse others of misinformation. Satan accused God of misinformation. His suggestion was that God knew the *“real truth”* but withheld it from Adam and Eve. This is the master of deception pretending to tell the truth.
This pattern of satanic manipulation of truth through subtlety echoes in other biblical narratives. For example, in 2 Samuel 13, we see a similar deception at play. The story began with Amnon, the son of King David who developed a lustful obsession for his sister Tamar.

The Septuagint clarified that this was a lust-driven love, not genuine affection. His obsession intensified,and he became sick with longing. The danger emerged when Amnon's friend Jonadab, described as *“a very subtle man,”* intervened. Jonadab was a cunning advisor who manipulated Amnon into destructive actions that ultimately led to tragedy and death.

You must guard your heart against deception by staying with what God has said in His Word. Refuse Satan’s contradictions and perverted truths. Reject every voice that questions the veracity of God’s Word. When your heart is established in God’s truths, you become unmovable, discerning and protected. You recognise deception for what it is and you remain grounded in the integrity of God’s Word.

*PRAYER*
Dear Father, thank you for your Word that keeps me established in truth. My heart is guarded by your wisdom, and I walk in discernment by the Holy Spirit, who secures my path in your light, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
