TAKE YOUR IDENTITY: OUR TODAY'S ERCC DEVOTIONAL FOR THE 3RD APRIL, 2025

“And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.” (Luke 8: 27)

That is the Focal Scripture of the ERCC Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, mention is made about the man who met Jesus. This man, remarkably, wore no clothes. He literally went about naked. In bible times, people wore clothes to reflect their identity. So, this man did not move around with his identity intact. He moved about with no identity. His affliction took his identity from him. The demons that took possession of his life, took his identity away from him. He lost his identity.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every attack on your identity, I decree, let it be reversed. You will not lose your identity in Christ. You will not lose yourself to your battles. You will not have your identity taken from you by the enemy. You will not be a victim of a lost identity. You will not lose the identity of greatness that God has granted you. You will not lose the identity of distinction and excellence that El Roi already gave you.

Notice that the person who was being referred to in our Focal Scripture, was a man. He was meant to be known for something, but in a matter of time, the affliction he suffered, took his identity. What he suffered caused him to lose who he was. People would see him and not recognize him as who he originally was. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every attack of the enemy that wants to steal your identity, I decree, it ends now.

Jesus did not redeem you so that the enemy can take your identity from you. Jesus did not redeem you so that your identity in Christ can be replaced with a negative identity. You are a chosen generation; you are a royal priesthood; you are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works; you are the excellency of Christ; you are the light of the world;

DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET;
SUNDAY 30TH MARCH, 2025.

TEXT: 2 SAMUEL 12: 15 — 31.

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: BEING FORGIVEN DOES NOT PREVENT DISCIPLINE.

Yesterday, the prophet Nathan recounted a parable to King David, illustrating the injustice committed by a rich man against a poor man. Upon hearing this story, David pronounced that the perpetrator deserved death (2 Samuel 12: 5). However, the good news is that despite David's grievous sins of adultery and murder, he sincerely repented, and God forgave him (2 Samuel 12: 13). It is crucial to remember that the consequences of sin are severe, as stated in Romans 6: 23—"the wages of sin is death." Therefore, we must remain vigilant and heedful. While David's repentance led to divine forgiveness, it did not exempt him from discipline. The child born out of David's adultery with Bathsheba died —a painful consequence of his transgression. Brethren, when we repent of our sins, God extends His forgiveness to us. Yet, sometimes He allows us to experience the sorrow and pain that sin brings, in order to teach us and deter us from repeating it. We must not take sin lightly, for every wrongdoing carries consequences. Following the death of his child, David eventually resumed his duties and went to battle alongside his warriors—a course of action he should have taken initially. The journey to wisdom often involves enduring hardship and suffering. Therefore, let us remain steadfast in our fight against evil, trusting in God to grant us victory. We should never trivialize sin, as every sinner will face God's judgment.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Sin leads to death.

PRAYER: O Lord God, I am begging you, forgive me of my sins so that I can truly receive forgiveness, Amen.

NO BO***GE: OUR TODAY'S ERCC DEVOTIONAL FOR THE 28th March 2025

“After Jesus had crossed the lake, he came to shore near the town of Gadara and started down the road. Two men with demons in them came to him from the tombs. They were so fierce that no one could travel that way.” (Matthew 8: 28 CEV)

That is the Focal Scripture of the ERCC Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, mention was made about the two men who came out of the tombs, afflicted with demons. These two men were in the bo***ge of demons. They were not free in the sense of the word free. They were not acting freely on their own. They were acting according to the dictates of the demons that held them bound. They may not have chosen to be bound, but they were bound. They were in bo***ge, albeit unfortunately.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every bo***ge on your life is broken. I command every bo***ge on your spirit man to be broken. I command every bo***ge on your family, to be broken. I command every bo***ge against your increase, to be broken. I command every bo***ge on your generation, to be broken. I command every bo***ge on your destiny advancement, to be broken. I command an utter end to bo***ge.

Those two men remained in bo***ge until Jesus showed up, and their bo***ge came to an end. The emergence of Jesus in the country of the Gadarenes marked the end of the bo***ge of these two men. Hear me as I hear the Lord: because Jesus has emerged, your bo***ge is over. Because Jesus has emerged, you cannot remain in bo***ge of sickness and disease. You cannot remain in the bo***ge of your past.

Jesus did not redeem you so that the enemy can reenact bo***ge on your life. Jesus did not redeem you so that you can dwell in chains. Jesus did not redeem you so that your freedom in Christ can be exchanged with the bo***ge of the enemy. If you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, then stand fast in the freedom wherewith Christ has set you free, and do not be entangled again in the yoke of bonda

GOOD NEWS IS COMING: OUR TODAY'S ERCC DEVOTIONAL FOR THE 24th FEBRUARY, 2025

“There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.” (Luke 1: 5)

That is the Focal Scripture of the ERCC Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture unveils the tale of the miracle of Zechariah and Elizabeth. At a time when Herod reigned over Judah, God showed up for Zechariah and his wife. In a season where there was a reign of terror, good news found the family of Zechariah. At a time when the environment was presided over by the New Testament version of Pharaoh, good news came the way of Zechariah and his wife. There was negativity in Judah, but El Roi sent good news to the home of Zechariah.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you may be surrounded by negativity, but good news will locate you nonetheless. You may be under a ‘Herod’, but your good news will not elude you. Things may not be favourable in your environment, but you will be counted amongst those whose lives turned out favourable. Others around you may be complaining of ‘Herod’, but you will surely and definitely harvest testimonies that ‘Herod’ cannot stop.

Hear me as I hear the Lord: the negativity you are surrounded with will not stop your new season from unfolding. Your progress will not be stopped by the whims and caprices of those who do not wish you well. Your rising will not be hindered by any wicked man. Your increase will not be stopped by men who have negative thoughts and plans towards you. Your good news will not be swallowed by the negativity that rules your city/nation.

Others may have bad news under the modern day ‘Herods’, but your case is different. Others may be reaping from the wickedness of the wicked, but you will count your blessings again and again and see what the Lord has done for you. Others may have negative tales arising from the negativity that rules around you, but yo

BROKEN PROTOCOLS: OUR TODAY'S ERCC DEVOTIONAL FOR THE 20TH FEBRUARY, 2025

“And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.” (Luke 13: 14)

That is the Focal Scripture of the ERCC Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, the ruler of the synagogue protested that Jesus healed someone on the Sabbath day. According to him, there are six days within which anyone who wants to be healed, could be healed, but not on the Sabbath. According to him, the Sabbath was not the right day for one to come and be healed in the synagogue. Notice that Jesus already healed the woman with infirmity. Sabbath didn’t stop Jesus from healing her.

Friend, there may be protocols of men standing against your expectations; there may be protocols of men standing in the way of your prayers; there may be protocols of men standing in the way of your rising; there may be protocols of men standing in the way of that which you wish to attain; there may be protocols of men standing in the way of your new season; there may be protocols of men standing against your results.

Hear me as I hear the Lord: no human protocol will hinder what the Lord has destined for you. No human protocol will stop the works of God in your life. No human protocol will stop God from releasing all that He already planned to release to you. No human protocol will stop your elevation. No human protocol will stop your new season. No human protocol will stop your results. No human protocol will stop your miracle.

Jesus did not consult the ruler of the synagogue before He healed the woman who was afflicted by the spirit of infirmity. He did not consult the custodian of the protocols of men before doing what He chose to do for that woman. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the protocols of men will not be consulted by El Roi when He is set t

EL ROI SEES: OUR TODAY'S ERCC DEVOTIONAL FOR THE 14TH FEBRUARY, 2024

“And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.” (Luke 13: 12)

That is the Focal Scripture of the ERCC Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Jesus saw the woman who had the spirit of infirmity for eighteen years. Jesus came into one of the synagogues, and He saw a woman who had an infirmity that needed His attention. That woman may have been afflicted but there was a Jesus in the temple who saw her despite everyone else in the temple. The eyes of El Roi turned in her direction. The eyes of El Roi sought her out in her situation.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the eyes of El Roi are turned in your direction. The eyes of the Lord are seeing you in your current state. The eyes of El Roi have seen that battle that needs to come to an end immediately. The eyes of El Roi have seen the afflictions that must be brought to an utter end. The eyes of the Lord have seen those limitations surrounding you. The eyes of the Lord have seen you in your helpless state.

Jesus did not just see the woman afflicted with the spirit of infirmity; He also did something about her situation. He did something about what He saw. Jesus saw where that woman was in pain and in bitter tears, and He turned around the situation. Hear me as I hear the Lord: for everything that the eyes of the Lord have seen in your life, there will be a divine performance. For whatever the eyes of the Lord have sighted, there will be a miracle.

You serve a God who sees you despite all that you are going through. You serve a God who sees where you hurt. You serve a God who sees where your shoe pinches. You serve a God who sees what is needed and has capacity to do it. You serve a God who has what it takes to make the difference in whatsoever you are going through. El Roi sees what is hiding behind the scenes to wreak havoc in your life. El Roi sees all you are deali

TEXT: ISAIAH 9: 1 — 12.

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: CHRIST JESUS IS THE COMING KING.

We are close to the day we CELEBRATE the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ in the flesh here on earth. It was the day God took the form of a human being and came to save sinners. In today’s reading, the prophet Isaiah mentioned the names of the King who will be born as follows: Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, Eternal Father and Prince of Peace. It is true that all these names reveal the characteristics of who the Messiah is. The greatest MIRACLE He performed was that He came into the world in the flesh to be with His people. Since He knows all our affairs and those of God, it is good that we make Him our ADVISER because all power belongs to Him. He is the Father who has no beginning and no end. That is, even if the world passes away, He remains forever. He reigns where there is no chaos, rebellion and battles; but PEACE which the world cannot give. The giver of peace, happiness and peace of mind is Christ Jesus alone, the King of kings, the Lord of lords. Indeed, there is no doubt that anyone who believes in Him and makes Him their Lord and Savior, is a privileged person. Because of the day when the Almighty shall come, He will take them home with no worries but happiness and wonderful deeds that they have never seen in the world.

THINGS TO THINK: Peace is only found in Jesus.

PRAYER: Oh Lord God, have mercy on me, take control of my heart now and forever in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, Amen.

TEXT:. ISAIAH 10: 1 — 10.

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: CHRIST JESUS IS THE RULER OF TRUTH.

Today the prophet Isaiah continues to talk about the kingdom of Jesus. Since David was the son of Jesse, the Messiah Jesus, the son of David, came from the lineage of Jesse. Therefore, the Spirit of God guides Him to watch over His people with wisdom and truth which is evident in the beginning of His work in the Temple (Lk.4: 18). And every time He gives His Spirit of help to all those who believe in Him so that they can rule as He wants, to bring glory to His name. Those who believe in Him need KNOWLEDGE because of His ability to rule which is not the kind we are used to seeing. But a government that is JUST and TRUE. It is a pity that today some rulers do not have the fear of God, what they are concerned about is THEMSELVES. They don't care if the poor people live or not, this doesn't bother them. They forget that God owns everything and everyone, and He knows how to give and take things. That's why we know that He always gives judgment based on knowing what is in our heart because there is nothing, we can hide from Him. Today, in our study, the rulers are being advised and warned that, the Lord in His judgment will not KILL anyone, except sinners who have not repented. You who have been entrusted with the responsibility of ruling the people, if you rule oppressively, trampling on the poor, you will face severe punishment, it is inevitable. This is not a joke; it is the truth.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Be honest in everything.

PRAYER: Oh Lord God, teach me to be honest and fair in everything for the sake of Christ Jesus, Amen.

TEXT: DANIEL 9: 7 — 27 (9: 17 — 27).

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: THE SEVENTY WEEKS.

Today's reading on the seventy weeks is really difficult to understand, but if we follow the explanation here, we will get help in understanding. First of all, let's understand that the talk of the week is about the YEAR. Where seven weeks are mentioned, that is seven years. The main thing that we should pay attention to is TIME and things that have happened and those that will happen in the future. The calculation of the weeks starts from the time when the Lord commanded, the Jews to leave their captivity in the land of Babylon, return to their own land, and rebuild Jerusalem, which happened; to the return of the Jews to Jerusalem until the death of Christ Jesus and His resurrection from the dead, to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD. The occurrence of all these took sixty-nine weeks. One week left will begin when Jesus will rapture His Church to heaven where the Marriage Feast of the Lamb will take place (John 19: 7) for seven years. At that time, in this world, the Antichrist, that is, our enemy and his followers would start the work of persecuting the people of the world. They would use different ways and strategies to do their evil deeds. This is called the time of GREAT TRIBULATION, the time of panic for which the restraining influence is taken away, that is the believers in Christ Jesus the Savior. Let's trust in Him, He will deliver us from all the enemies.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Let's plan to escape this WEEK.

PRAYER: Lord God, thank you for the way of salvation that you have prepared for me through Christ Jesus, your Son, Amen.

TEXT: ROMANS 7: 14 — 25.

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: PROBLEMS CAUSED BY SIN.

Today in the reading, Paul tried to help the followers of Christ to understand how they can win over the flesh. This is the reason he shows the kind of complications that the law brings. He gave an example of himself for them to understand, on how he wanted to stop sinning, but he could not. The same is true in his effort to do justice, but he could not. He noticed that HUMAN NATURE is a bad thing that leads a person to death. I notice in life that there are times when we want to do the right thing but all our efforts are in vain because the human nature that governs us prevents us from doing so. Our victory comes only through the power of Christ. Therefore, let us trust in Him, and He will give us victory over SELF. In life, we will not succeed by our own strength or power, so we NEED TO surrender ourselves to God who knows how to DELIVER us from the spirit of human nature. It's a pity that many times we fail to do our intention because the body is weak. Many times, we begin CREATIVE work in our own power which is wrong, that's why we fail. We should know that committing sin is not difficult, so surrendering to God and pray for success as well is not difficult.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Success comes only in the power of God.

PRAYER: Oh Lord God, I am begging you, give me victory over self in the name of Jesus, Amen.

A HIGHER LIFE: OUR TODAY'S ERCC DEVOTIONAL FOR THE 8TH OCTOBER, 2024

“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” (Psalm 23: 2)

That is the Focal Scripture of the ERCC Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, the psalmist speaks of how the Lord causes him to lie down in green pastures. Ordinarily, sheep feed on grass; but according to the psalmist, the shepherd causes him to lie down on the same thing he ought to consume. According to the psalmist, the shepherd causes him to take a higher position above what he needs. The shepherd causes him to stay above the resources he needs.

Friend, if the Lord has become your shepherd, then welcome to the higher and better life. You will lie down on the green pastures that others struggle for. You will be above the things you need. You will operate above the levels of what you ordinarily should labour for. God is placing you above the levels of human struggles. God is placing the things you need under you. God is giving you dominion over the very things you need to feed on.

By the psalmist’s declaration, the Lord caused him to take a position above the pasture he needed. The Lord put him above pasture. The Lord gave him rulership over pasture. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will rule over your green pastures. You will have the higher life where resources will not control you but you will control resources. You will enjoy the higher life in Christ where your connection to the source puts you above resources.

What others chase after, you will sit on it. You are called to the higher life where your pasture is under your dominion. You will be in control of resources, but resources will not control you. You will not be subject to resources. Other ‘sheep’ may struggle to have grass; but you will be divinely positioned to enjoy rest on top of pasture. You will be relaxed on your pasture. You will be made to lie down in places where you ought to struggle.

I speak over your life: may you
