TOPIC : GREAT DOORS SHALL BE OPENED UNTO YOU
Text : Rev. 3 : 7 - 8
*"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write : These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth , and shutteth and no man openeth. I know thy works; behold I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it for thou hast a little strength and has kept my word, and hast not denied my name*
An open door is an opportunity to step out of a confinement or to access blessings.
Sin is a major hindrance to our open doors. Isa 59 :2 says, *"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."*
A closed door on the other hand, hinders blessings from coming in and keeps people in captivity/confinement. For instance, the door was shut against the five foolish virgins.
The Lord delights to open doors for his children, and when He opens the door, no one can shut it. The only limitation to God's open door is a christian who fails to recognize and maximise the open door. In John 10 : 9 Jesus said:
*"I am the door; by me if any man enters in, He shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."*
While Jesus is committed to opening the door, it is the responsibility of the Christian to enter through the door, and go in and out for the purpose of finding pasture.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is our access to God's blessings and He shuts the door at appropriate times to keep away the thief.
Christians are therefore not expected to manipulate things or force doors to open. We do not need to struggle in the flesh inorder to access God's blessings.
*Door can open in two ways :*
1. Somebody can open a door from within and let you in. In Rev. 3 : 8, God opened the door directly. God can also use human agents to open the door.
2. You can open the door personally, if you have the key. In Mat. 16 :19, Jesus said;
*"And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven..."*
*Keys of the kingdom*
1. Faith in God. It can open impossible doors. Heb 11 : 6
2. Prayer
3. Absolute consecration to God.
4. The word of God.
*Prayer points*
1. Father open great doors to me that no man can shut
2. Father, roll away every reproach in my life.
3. Father let good things happen for me in their appropriate time without delay.
4. Lord, make my life a living testimony in all ramification in Jesus mighty Name.
