📜FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS!
📖Like 4:16-20
" *_And the eyes of all in the synagogue were FIXED on him." Luke 4:20._*
From our text above, the Lord JESUS made known to his people at Nazareth what He was Anointed by GOD to accomplish in their lives, and in amazing response, they all fixed their eyes on Him. Meaning, they put their trust in Him to fulfil His words.
The same words of JESUS is for us today and we need to likewise FIX our eyes on Him and leave it there!
*The poor can fix their eyes on JESUS because He is the goodnews of prosperity to the poor.
*The captives(those in bo***ge to fear, sickness and disease) can fix their eyes on JESUS because He is the liberation they need.
*The blind (those whose vision and picture of the future is blur and cannot even see anything good in their lives today) can as well put their trust in JESUS to see God's goodness for real.
*Those oppressed by the devil and the pressures of life can fix their eyes on JESUS because He was made a random for our freedom.
*For all your good expectations, keep fixing your eyes on JESUS because His time to favour you is here. Favour is receiving from God and Man your good desire(s) with little or no regard to what you deserve. Praise God!
To the 'successful' in life and livelihood, always fix your eyes on JESUS. Apostle Peter was a successful 'Walker on Water' so long as he focused on JESUS, but when he shifted his eyes from Him he immediately began to sink (Matt. 14:29,30). So, everyone who chooses to focus on the wind of economic uncertainties and the rest will sink into depression and destruction in life and destiny. Hence, don't ponder on the hike in fuel price, insecurities, hike in price of goods and services, the rumours and realities of persecution and killings here and there, but FIX your eyes on JESUS!
