*YOUR COMMITMENT IS NEEDED*

Bible Text: Hebrews 10:19-25

Bible in one year: Ezekiel 5-7, Romans 4

No one can make a great impact without concise and deliberate commitment to a course of action. Commitment implies or means to be bound emotionally or intellectually to a course of action. God our creator requires your commitment, and it should never be negotiated.

God is committed overly to His creation and the works of His hand. He is a very present help to humanity in times of trouble. God does not sleep nor slumber. He is ever constant, ready and willing to help man at all times. The word of God affirms in _Psalm 46:1 (Amp) “God is our refuge and strength (mighty and impenetrable to temptation), a very present and well – proved help in trouble.”_ As believers, we are to reciprocate and get imbued and engrossed completely in service to God. There are several areas in God’s kingdom where our commitment is needed.

As Christians, we are to give attention to fellowship and church programs. We live in such a busy world where many people are absorbed with secular activities. You must necessarily plan church activities into your programs. A situation where most people don’t attend Sunday and mid-week services must be discouraged. We are saved to serve and service is in different capacities. You must discover what you are called to do in church.

As I have said in my previous write-ups, everyone is called to do something very unique. No one is called to do everything. Christian service is one of the hallmarks of our calling and election into Christ. Never get too busy to continually avoid fellowship activities. The work of God can never be consummated without human interference and involvement. Absence from church activities and programs if not curtailed leads to spiritual death.

Therefore, for you to attend church programs in our contemporary world must necessary be an intentional decision backed up with action. You must resist the incidence of complacency and become involved. God is ever gracious to empower you to carry out all necessary activities as expected.

*Declaration and Action*

- I receive grace to be committed devotedly to church programs and activities.

- I will locate a unique place of service in church and get engrossed fully in Jesus’ name.

*Take Away: Your commitment to service and fellowship activities must never be negotiated or substituted. Be engraced, reflect and meditate on Hebrews 10:25 in your contemporary life. “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”*

_Acts 2:42 “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”_

SATURDAY OCTOBER 3rd, 2026

*SPEAKING OUT IN FAITH*

Bible Text: Mark 5:35-43

Bible in one year: Ezekiel 2-4, Romans 3

We are products of what we say. To speak out in faith, we must not be moved by what we see, hear or by our experiences. Jesus manifested faith all through His life and ministry. Jairus’ daughter had died and Jesus remarked that she sleepeth. Read Mark 5:39. To a carnal person and an unbeliever, it was not realistic. In real sense, the daughter was gone.

Beloved, in every situation, ascertain what the word of God says as well as the perfect will of God. The word of God must prevail over our experiences. It means that at all times, we must see things with the eyes of faith. _“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7._ Are you sick, weak and afflicted? Don’t confess that I am sick and dying. There is balm of Gilead. There is provision for healing. The word of God works. In Isaiah 33:24, the Bible says _“And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.”_

Declare and affirm what the word of God says. - Are you baptized with lack, poverty and financial hardship when you are not lazy or idle? You must see beyond your current financial situation. Declare that you are living in abundance. Confess that God will supply all your needs according to His riches and abundance. There is the relevant word of God for all situations of life. Therefore, at all times, find out and locate appropriate scriptures and keep speaking the word of God. The beauty of the whole matter is the fact that God is a covenant keeping God. He does not slumber, nor lie. By two immutable things in which it is impossible for God to lie. Read Hebrews 6:18.

In conclusion, resist the temptation to confess words that are not in line with the perfect will of God. At all times, and in every situation, keep speaking the word of God and negative situations must be subject to God.

*Declaration and Action:*

- I am not moved by negative situations around me. I am moved by what God says in His word.

- Oh Lord my God, increase my faith in Jesus’ name.

*Take Away: I will actively declare the promises and Biblical truths out loud even when my current experiences and situations look different. I am what the word of God says. Alleluia!!*

_2 Corinthians 4:13 “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.”_

*HAVE PERSONAL LIFE VALUES*

Bible Text: Philippians 4:5-9

Bible in one year: Lamentation 4-5, Ezekiel 1, Romans 2

A believer in Christ and Christian families should have values that mark him out of the crowd. Values in this context mean one’s morals or morality, sound belief system etc. Your values as a believer must be based on scriptures and your ability to base your values on scriptures deepens as your intimacy with God deepens.

As you consistently practice biblical values, it will become your norm/culture. Note that it is not everything that is good, justifiable and of general acceptance that is good enough for you. The word of God says in _1 Corinthians 10:23(Amp) “All things are legitimate, permissible and we are free to do anything we please but not all things are helpful (expedient, profitable and wholesome). All things are legitimate but not all things are constructive (to character) and edifying (to spiritual life).”_ Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth for your life because the Holy Spirit remains our teacher, standby, comforter, strengthener who continually directs our path.

Sound values help you to overcome incidence of sin. Sin is prevalent in our society such that one must necessarily come up with standard practices to safeguard one’s life from pollution by sin. For example, Job affirmed in _Job 31:1(NLT) “I made a covenant with mine eyes not to look with lust at a young woman.”_ Daniel also purposed and decided not to defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat. As stated earlier, you must build up values that will help you to overcome incidence of sin and learn to separate yourself from practices that may not add substantially to your spiritual build up.

Grace does not absolve us from taking responsibility to protect ourselves from danger. What advantage do you derive when you visit a single lady at an odd time as a man alone? We must be careful not to provoke lust that produces sin. Caution, self-discipline, values, ethics are necessary to build a strong spiritual capacity.

*Declaration and Action:*

- I receive grace to separate myself from practices that does not add value to my growth.

- I appropriate grace to build strong spiritual values in Jesus name.

*Take Away: It is in my place to set up, build up moral values as well as sound biblical kingdom principles. I resolve to align myself wholly to such values.*

THURSDAY OCTOBER 1st, 2026

*CONSISTENCY IS THE ANSWER*

Bible Text: 1 Samuel 17:32-37

Bible in one year: Lamentation 1-3, Romans 1

Oh Lord my God, help my generation. How often do we desire to make impart and yet without anything substantial to offer. Beloved, what do you have to offer to your world? God has blessed everyone with varied abilities, gifts and grace. It takes consistent practice of values and principles for your life to make a meaning and impart others.

Consistency therefore implies firmness in character, durability and being persistent in what you say or do. It connotes regular occurrence without stoppage of action.

It is important to note that it is what you practice consistently that brings you to the limelight. David had consistently protected the sheep committed to him by his father. David’s testimony of the past helped him to bring down Goliath in the present. _“David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.” 1 Samuel 17:37._ Therefore, in this kingdom, be resolute to serve God continuously with your God given graces and abilities.

The following areas unavoidably demand our consistency:

- Righteous living for a believer should not be a one-off experience but a way of life.

A believer is expected to consistently live in righteousness. The Bible says in _Job 17:9 (NLT) “The righteous keep moving forward and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.”_

- Consistent or persistent praying is the culture or habit of a believer.

The word of God says in _Colossians 4:2 “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.”_ Jesus Christ practiced continuous praying all through His earthly ministry. He taught the disciples what He practiced. In _Luke 18:1 “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”_

Beloved, be consistent in biblical principles and culture. Avoid been tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine and deception. Be firm, stablish and get rooted in Christ. Jesus is the only answer.

*Declaration and Action*

- I receive grace to be consistent in godly practices.

- I receive grace to practice obedience to divine instructions. I separate myself from convenient obedience in Jesus’ name.

*Take Away: I will be deliberate to practice and deploy consistency both in spiritual demands and secular activities. Consistency pays and it is indeed the answer to several challenges of men.*

*Memory Verse:*

_1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”_

*From Glory to Glory*

Bible Text: 2 Corinthians 3:16-18

Bible in One year: Jeremiah 51-52, Philemon 1

I congratulate you for being part of this dispensation of the Holy Spirit and power. Every believer who has received the Holy Spirit will be a partaker of the glory of God. There was the glory of the Old Covenant that Moses and other selected men of his days had access to. The glory of the Old Covenant was not for all unlike in our dispensation.

Moses understood the importance of the glory of God and he earnestly ask for it as noted in Exodus 33:18 _"And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory."_ Israel had access to experience the glory of God. Exodus 40:34-38, record how the Lord's glory filled the tabernacle.

There was a promise made by God, revealed to the prophets as per the glory of the latter house as noted in _Haggai 2:9 "The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts."_ The promise came to pass on the day of Pentecost. The descent of the Holy Spirit and the glory of God go together. The glory of God therefore is God's active presence, character as well as the transforming power of God. The glory of God is the visible or manifest presence, an expression of the majesty, splendor and the magnificence of God. You cannot genuinely behold the glory of God and remain the same. The glory of God undoubtedly transforms, renews, activate and empower a believer for landmark exploits.

Apostle Paul, a man who had great insight into the glory of God carefully explained the genuineness and the positive results associated with God's presence. The glory of God can be activated through:

- A continuous life of righteousness which is progressive. In other words, resolve to live holy. _Hebrews 1:9 "Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows."_

- Desire to have and experience God's glory.

- Faith in Christ Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate expression of the glory of God.

- Develop intimacy with God through concise and consistent prayer.

- Practice continuous worship and praise to God.

- Read, study and meditate on the scripture continuously as a way of life.

- Grow and glow in His Glory, Alleluia.

*Declaration and Action:*

- Oh Lord my God, fill me with your glory.

- I receive grace to deploy practices that will activate and release God's glory.

*Take Away: The glory of God has been released. I will keenly position myself to be a partaker of His glory.*

*Memory Verse:*

_Haggai 2:9 "The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts."_

*Baptism of the Holy Spirit.*

Bible Text: Acts 8:14-17, Acts 2:1-4

Bible in One year: Jeremiah 48-50, Jude 20

It dawned on me that it is so important to visit one of the fundamentals of our Christian faith, which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I counseled two sisters on the 20th of August, 2026. One of them complained about spiritual attacks, and when I asked if she prays in tongues, she said "no". Her elder sister whom I Pastor also does not pray in tongues. I was taken aback that these daughters of Zion have been in Pentecostal churches without the evidence of praying in tongues. I initially told them that I will pray for them for baptism of the Holy Spirit next week (Thursday), but I changed my mind. I decided to pray with them immediately and they got filled with the Holy Spirit with evidence of praying in the Holy Spirit (in tongues). One of the sisters told me that her eyes got open and she saw a vision in the course of prayers. You cannot be effective in Christian service without the Holy Spirit.

Every Christian must be filled with the Spirit of God with obvious evidence. Therefore, as you read this, if you are not filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, desire it and be filled with the spirit to overflowing.

God is so very magnanimous to fulfill the promise made to us in Joel 2:28-29. That same promise came to pass in Acts 2:1-4. Jesus Christ Himself knew the importance of the Holy Spirit, requested that the disciples should tarry in Jerusalem until they are endued with power. Luke 24:49 testifies thus _"And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."_ The baptism of the Holy Spirit gives you power for service and the work of the ministry. You can only be effective when filled with the power of God. It is the Spirit of God that generates power. _Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."_

The duo of Peter and John and the rest of the Apostles became so bold, courageous and energized to pray after the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As a matter of fact, there is no option or alternative to baptism of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, ensure you are filled with the Holy Spirit and remain filled with the Spirit of God. Alleluia!

*Declaration and Action*

- Oh Lord my God, I need more of you and less of me. I ask for the fullness of your Spirit.

- I receive grace to activate the Spirit within and upon at all times.

*Take Away: The Holy Spirit is basic and fundamental for all believers in Christ. I will be filled and remain filled with the Holy Spirit.*

*Memory Verse:*

_Acts 8:17 "Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost."_
