*TEXT: JEREMIAH 29:11-13*

11. _For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future._
12. _Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you._
13. _You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart._

*TOPIC: FUTURE ASSURED*

While our parents may plan for our future, God's plan for us is always perfect in timing and direction. His plans are always good, filled with hope and purpose. When we align with His will and seek Him wholeheartedly, we can be confident of a secure and fulfilling future. Even in times of hardship or uncertainty, like the current killings and land grabbing, God is not absent. He may be shaping a brighter future for us, just as He did for the people of Judah. The message of this text reflects God's unchanging character towards His people. His plans are always for peace and restoration, not harm. When we seek Him sincerely and pray, He listens and reveals Himself to us. The wicked may flourish, but for a short time (Ps. 92:27).

*REFLECTION:* _Believe that God has an assured future for you._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, help me to seek you wholeheartedly. Amen._

*TEXT: ECCLESIASTES 12:12-14*

12. _Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them. Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body._
13. _Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind._
14. _For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil._

*TOPIC: REVERENCE GOD*

Man may not fully grasp God's ways; he must hold fast to his reverence and trust in Him as Creator. The Preacher cautions his listeners not to substitute wordly knowledge with God's wisdom. They must fear God and keep His command as a duty and live in view of His judgement. To fear God is to make Him the centre of your life - loving Him deeply, honouring His greatness and grace; and letting this reflect in your choices, words, and actions. Many young men claim to fear God, yet their lifestyle tells a different story. They can be seen to be very active in church but consult a marabou, practice harlotry, form a gangster to commit evil in society, or lead a bandit to attack communities. Does your life truly reflect your reverence for Him? Check what takes your time and allegiance. Time is fleeting. Take a stand today!

*REFLECTION:* _Fear God and keep His commandments._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, help me to reverence you. Amen._

3. _Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,_
4. _not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others._

*TOPIC: HANDLING RELATIONSHIPS*

Jesus emptied Himself of His glory identify with humanity's weakness. Paul urges believers to adopt the humble mindset of Christ in their interactions with others. A genuine relationship should not be driven by selfish ambition or pride but by humility and genuine concern for others. Valuing others above self fosters unity and strengthens bonds within God's family. Sadly, several believers associate with class, members of their profession, and what others have, using that to look down on others. Have you made a good impression on yourself and strained relationships in God's family? Remember, we are all products of grace, no matter who you are or what you have. When you recognise your uniqueness and the worth of others, you avoid pride and treat people with dignity and respect.

*REFLECTION:* _Treat people as God's creation._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, help me to treat others as I would be treated. Amen._

🔥 REVELATION WITHOUT TRANSFORMATION: WHEN KNOWLEDGE BECOMES A CONTRADICTION

There is a dangerous place in the Christian journey where a man can know much about God but become very little like God.

You can carry revelation and still refuse correction.

You can understand mysteries and remain unchanged in character.

You can teach holiness while secretly tolerating compromise.

You can speak about faith while living in fear.

You can preach transformation while refusing to be transformed.

This is the danger of revelation without application.

James 1:22 says:

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

🔥 HERE IS THE DEEPER REVELATION:

Every revelation God gives you carries a demand for transformation.

God does not reveal His Word merely to increase your vocabulary.

He reveals His Word to reform your life.

When God shows you something, He is inviting you into a higher level of obedience.

When He exposes an attitude, He is calling you to surrender it.

When He reveals your weakness, He is creating an opportunity for His grace to work in you.

The tragedy is not that a believer lacks revelation.

The tragedy is having enough revelation to know what is right but refusing to become what you know.

Jesus said:

“If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” — John 13:17

Notice He did not say, “Blessed are you because you know them.”

Knowledge must eventually become conduct.

🔥 YOUR LIFE MUST AGREE WITH YOUR REVELATION.

If you know forgiveness, forgive.

If you know humility, walk humbly.

If you know prayer, build an altar.

If you know love, demonstrate it.

If you know truth, live truthfully.

If you know God's Word, obey God's Word.

Because heaven is not impressed by how much revelation you can explain.

God is looking for the evidence of what that revelation has produced in you.

Paul told Timothy:

“Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them…” — 1 Timothy 4:16

Notice the order:

Take heed t

_*PROVERBS 3:5–6*_

5. _Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding_
6. _In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight._

_PROVERBS 24:3–4_

3. _By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established_ .
4. _Through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures._

*TOPIC: RIGHTLY CHOOSING A LIFE PARTNER*

The decision we make today can make or mar us. Today's texts caution us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and to acknowledge Him in all our ways, rather than relying on our understanding. They remind us that a house is built by wisdom and established through understanding. This serves as a compass in decision-making, especially when choosing a life partner.
Choosing a life partner is a significant decision that should be guided by God's wisdom rather than personal feelings, physical appearances, or family and cultural influences. Couples to be must involve God by seeking His will and be willing to obey His directives. Seeking counsel from spiritual leaders is a sign of wisdom, not a sign of weakness. Do not rush into marriage and end up in a separation. Patiently and prayerfully wait on God's timing to author your love story.

*REFLECTION* : Only God knows the future; follow His leading.

*PRAYER* : Lord, help me to learn to trust in you. Amen.

*TEXTS: MATTHEW 24:14; MARK 13:10*

*_MATTHEW 24:14_*

14. _And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come._

_*MARK 13:10*_

10. _And the gospel must first be preached to all nations._

*TOPIC: PRIORITISE MISSION*

Jesus made it clear that the gospel of the kingdom must be proclaimed to all nations before His return. The ultimate goal of missions is to establish the Lordship of Christ across the earth, not through force, but through the willing submission of hearts to His saving grace. Only through faith in Christ and His redemptive work can humanity be delivered from the bo***ge of sin, self, and Satan to serve God truly. As recipients of God's mercy and grace, we cannot remain silent about it. The good news is too powerful to be kept to ourselves. Like the young Karl Kumm of blessed memory, mission must be our priority. Be actively engaged through proclamation, prayers, and giving. Take the gospel to the dark corners of your world - home, neighbourhood, school, and workplace.

*REFLECTION:* _This gospel of the kingdom must be preached._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, revive my passion for lost souls. Amen._

*TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST 2026*

*TITUS 2:12–13* (KJV)

_Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly_ _righteously, and godly, in this_ _present world_
_Looking for that_ _blessed hope, and the glorious_
_appearing of the great God and our_ _Saviour Jesus Christ_

*TOPIC: EMPOWERED FOR UPRIGHT LIVING*

Upright living refers to a lifestyle characterized by moral integrity, righteousness, and adherence to God’s commandments. God created us to live extraordinary lives without struggle - a life above the power of sin, a product of grace. Man failed by disobeying and could not live an upright life. The salvation Jesus wrought restored man to the life he was expected to live.
As recipients of God’s grace, we are empowered to live in a new way. Have you received the power to live this new life, or are you still entangled by sexual immorality, lying, and deception? The grace of God is potent to train you to renounce impiety and worldly passions. You must lean on Jesus to live a self-controlled, upright, and godly life in this present age.

REFLECTION: You are empowered to live an upright life.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to display this enabling grace daily.

*TEXT: JEREMIAH 18:1-6*

1. _This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord:_
2. _“Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.”_
3. _So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel._
4. _But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him._
5. _Then the word of the Lord came to me._
6. _He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel._

*TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD'S MOULDING PROCESS*

In a world that encourages unchecked freedom and haste, it is challenging to submit to God's purpose patiently. Jeremiah uses the image of a potter and clay to illustrate God's sovereign authority to shape our lives as He wills. Though the moulding process may be uncomfortable and impact our character, desires, and attitudes, it is ultimately for our good. Yielding to this divine process transforms us into vessels of honour, shaped by grace. The key question is whether we are resisting or willingly submitting to God's refining work in our lives. Some delays in life, such as marriage, admission, employment, travel, or even promotion, may be a moulding process orchestrated by God for our late glory. Do not allow these moulding processes to discourage you. Depend on God's plans for your life.

*REFLECTION:* _Yield to God's moulding process._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, here am I; mould me. Amen._
