WHO CARES ABOUT THE PASTOR, (PART TWO)
20 WAYS MEMBERS SHOULD RESPOND WHEN IT SEEMS LIKE TRULY NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE PASTOR.

Theme Text: _Galatians 6:6 - "Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches."_ and _1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

*HOW TO CARE FOR THE PASTOR WHEN IT SEEMS NOBODY CARES*

*1. PRAY FOR HIM GENUINELY, NOT FORMALLY*
Don't just say "we pray for you." Mention his name, his wife, his children, his posting. _1 Thess 5:25_

*2. DEFEND HIM IN HIS ABSENCE*
When people are gossiping about him in the compound or after service, be the one who says, "Enough, he is our Pastor." _Proverbs 17:9_

*3. VISIT HIS HOUSE WITHOUT AN AGENDA*
Don't only go when you have a problem. Go with kola, go to greet. Let him know his house is not only a counselling office.

*4. REMEMBER HIS FAMILY*
Buy school books for his children. Remember Mama Pastor's birthday. If truly nobody cares about Pastor, let your family prove it wrong. _1 Tim 5:17-18_

*5. HONOR HIM WITH YOUR SUBSTANCE*
Farm Offering, First Fruit, monthly support - do it with joy, not complaint. _Proverbs 3:9_

*6. DON'T COMPARE HIM WITH ANOTHER PASTOR*
Stop that talk: "Pastor of DCC Kagoro is better than ours." That kills morale. Celebrate his unique grace.

*7. GIVE HIM FEEDBACK, NOT BACKBITING*
If he preached long, tell him privately with respect. Don't discuss him in the market.

*8. SHOW UP WHEN HE NEEDS YOU*
During burial, wedding, work in his farm, or hospital visitation. Your presence is a sermon.

*9. RESPECT HIS OFFICE, NOT ONLY HIS PERSON*
Even if he is younger than you, respect the calling upon him - _Hebrews 13:17_. Don't call him by nickname to belittle him.

*10. PROTECT HIS REST DAY*
ECWA Pastor's day off is Monday. Don't carry every small problem to him on Monday unless it's an emergency. Let him be human.

*11. APPRECIATE HIM PUBLICLY*
Stand in church and say "Thank you." Give testimony of how his message helped you. Pastors rarely hear "thank you" - _1 Thess 5:12_

*12. DON'T USE HIS KINDNESS AS WEAKNESS*
If he forgives easily, don't take advantage and repeat offense. If he gives you money, don't think he is rich.

*13. INVOLVE HIM IN YOUR JOY, NOT ONLY SORROW*
Invite him to your child's naming, house opening, farm harvest. Don't only call him when there is death.

*14. STOP THE ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY*
"Pastor must give us transport, must give us food." No. He is not Government. He is also struggling. Support, don't drain.

*15. LISTEN TO HIS SERMON AS GOD'S WORD*
Don't sit in church pressing phone while he preaches, then say nobody cares about Pastor. Caring starts by honoring the Word he brings - _Jer 3:15_

*16. SUPPORT HIS VISION*
If he says "Let's do DCC evangelism," don't say "He just wants money." Back him. Nothing discourages like members who kill every vision.

*17. CARE FOR HIM WHEN HE IS TRANSFERRED*
The worst time Pastor feels nobody cares is during transfer. Visit him, contribute for vehicle, help pack, pray with his wife. Don't just say "Bye bye."

*18. SPEAK WELL OF HIM TO YOUR CHILDREN*
What your children hear you say about Pastor, they will believe about church. Teach them to greet him, respect him.

*19. FORGIVE HIM QUICKLY*
He is not perfect. He may forget your name, miss your program, or preach a message that touched your sin. Forgive like you want him to forgive you.

*20. BE THE ONE - EVEN IF OTHERS DON'T CARE*
God does not need a crowd to care. Be the Gaius - _3 John 1:5-6_, be the Onesiphorus - _2 Tim 1:16_ who refreshes the Pastor. God will remember you.

*CONCLUSION:*

Pastor may smile on Sunday, but cry on Monday. He may pray for 100 members, but nobody asks "Pastor, how are you?"

You cannot control how the whole DCC treats him, but you can be the difference.

Galatians 6:9 - "Let us not grow weary in doing good..."

If you do these 20, your Pastor will never say "Nobody cares."

*20 MOMENTS WHEN A PASTOR'S TEARS NEVER STOP* - Nobody sees, but God counts them
*20 PLACES WHERE PASTOR'S TEARS FLOW*

*1. WHEN HE PREPARES A MESSAGE FOR 20 HOURS AND MEMBERS SLEEP DURING PREACHING*
He weeps - "Lord, I labored, but they despise the Word."

*2. WHEN HE PRAYS FOR MEMBERS ALL NIGHT, BUT NO ONE PRAYS FOR HIM*
_Eph 6:19_ - Everybody expects his prayer, nobody offers him prayer.

*3. WHEN HE SEES A MEMBER HE DISCIPLED FOR YEARS LEAVE THE CHURCH WITHOUT GOODBYE*
Like Demas left Paul - _2 Tim 4:10_ - It tears his heart.

*4. WHEN HE BURIES MEMBERS' FAMILIES, BUT WHEN HE IS BEREAVED, ONLY FEW SHOW UP*
He carries everybody's coffin, who will carry his?

*5. WHEN HE COUNSELS BROKEN MARRIAGES, WHILE HIS OWN MARRIAGE IS UNDER ATTACK SILENTLY*
He fixes others, who fixes his home?

*6. WHEN MEMBERS CELEBRATE POLITICIANS AND TRADITIONAL RULERS MORE THAN THEIR PASTOR*
They spray money for musicians, but judge offering for Pastor.

*7. WHEN HE HEARS GOSSIP ABOUT HIMSELF FROM PEOPLE HE TRUSTED*
_Psalm 55:12-14_ - "If an enemy... but it was you, my friend."

*8. WHEN HE IS EXPECTED TO ATTEND EVERY NAMING, WEDDING, BURIAL WITH EMPTY POCKET*
He must show up, even when his fuel tank and account are empty.

*9. WHEN HIS CHILDREN SUFFER BECAUSE MEMBERS LABEL THEM "PASTOR'S CHILDREN MUST BE PERFECT"*
His children cannot make mistake - heavy burden.

*10. WHEN HE FASTS AND PRAYS FOR CHURCH GROWTH, BUT MEMBERS GOSSIP AND SCATTER THE CHURCH*
_Acts 20:19 - Serving the Lord with many tears..._

*11. WHEN HIS WIFE CRIES ALONE AT HOME BECAUSE HE IS ALWAYS IN CHURCH FOR OTHERS*
Mummy is a silent widow with a living husband.

*12. WHEN HE IS SICK AND PREACHES WITH FEVER, BUT MEMBERS SAY "PASTOR DID NOT VISIT ME"*
He is dying on the pulpit, but they complain he didn't visit.

*13. WHEN HE SEES FAITHFUL MEMBERS BECOME UNFAITHFUL BECAUSE OF MONEY, POLITICS, AND OFFENSE*
_Jer 9:1 - Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night..._

*14. WHEN THE CHURCH BOARD JUDGES HIS SALARY BUT NEVER ASKS ABOUT HIS NEEDS*
They cut his allowance but increase their enjoyment.

*15. WHEN HE MUST SMILE ON SUNDAY WHILE HE CRIED ALL SATURDAY NIGHT OVER UNPAID BILLS*
He wears suit to cover tears.

*16. WHEN HE BAPTIZES, WEDS, AND DEDICATES OTHERS' CHILDREN, BUT CANNOT PAY HIS OWN CHILDREN'S SCHOOL FEES*
_1 Cor 9:11 - If we sowed spiritual things, is it too much to reap material things?_

*17. WHEN MEMBERS REMEMBER HIS ONE MISTAKE AND FORGET HIS TEN YEARS OF LABOUR*
One error erases 1000 sermons.

*18. WHEN HE PRAYS "GOD BLESS MY MEMBERS" AND MEMBERS PRAY "GOD CHANGE OUR PASTOR"*
He blesses them, they curse him.

*19. WHEN HE IS ALONE IN THE OFFICE CARRYING CONFIDENTIAL SINS OF MEMBERS THAT HE CAN TELL NO ONE*
He carries heavy secrets - adulteries, thefts, abortions confessed to him - burden no one can share.

*20. WHEN HE LOOKS AT HEAVEN AND ASKS - "LORD, WHO CARES ABOUT ME?"*
And God answers - *"I DO. I COUNT YOUR TEARS. Psalm 56:8 - Put thou my tears into thy bottle."*

*CONCLUSION: WHO WILL WIPE HIS TEARS?*

*1. GOD WIPES THEM* - _Rev 21:4, Psa 56:8_
*2. HIS FAMILY TRIES* - but they also weep.
*3. THE CHURCH MUST WIPE THEM* - _Gal 6:6, 1 Thess 5:12-13_

Sir/Ma, if we wipe our Pastor's tears today, God will wipe our tears tomorrow - _Matt 10:41_.

*Who cares? You must care.*

𝗜𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗠𝗬 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘!

𝗜 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗗 𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 — 𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗜𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗠𝗬 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘!

1. My season of tears is over; my season of celebration has begun.

2. This is my appointed time to rejoice.

3. My waiting season is ending in celebration.

4. I have cried enough—now I will testify.

5. My shame is turning into celebration.

6. The news I have been waiting for is coming.

7. My celebration will silence my mockers.

8. What looked impossible will become my testimony.

9. God is turning my mourning into dancing.

10. I am entering a season of undeniable testimonies.

11. My delay will not cancel my celebration.

12. Those who saw me struggle will see me celebrate.

13. My hands will carry what my heart has prayed for.

14. This is my season of congratulations.

15. My next announcement shall be good news.

16. I will celebrate what I once cried about.

17. The door to my celebration is opening.

18. My testimony will be too loud to hide.

19. Celebration is coming to my house.

20. It is my turn. It is my time. I will celebrate!
