CREATION OF TWO NEW ARCHDEACONRIES
The Anglican Diocese of Kafanchan marks a significant milestone in its mission and growth as it successfully inaugurated two new archdeaconries in just two days.
On Monday, 16th March 2026, the Bondon Archdeaconry was formally inaugurated in a well-attended service. The occasion drew the presence of notable dignitaries, including the District Head of Bondon and the Secretary of Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, alongside clergy, church leaders, and members from across the diocese. It was a moment of joy, thanksgiving, and renewed commitment to the work of God.
Following closely, on Tuesday, 17th March 2026, the Boro Archdeaconry was also inaugurated in a similar spirit-filled service held at St. James’s Anglican Church, Boro. The atmosphere was filled with praise and expectation as the diocese expanded its structures to better serve its people and communities.
In both services, the Bishop, in his sermon, strongly emphasized that the creation of the new archdeaconries is not merely administrative, but deeply missional. He highlighted evangelism as the primary motivation, calling on clergy and laity alike to be more intentional in reaching out, spreading the Gospel, and impacting lives within their various communities.
These inaugurations reflect the Diocese’s commitment to growth, effective pastoral care, and the advancement of God’s kingdom. As new leadership structures are established, it is expected that the work of evangelism will be strengthened and the Church’s presence more deeply felt across the region.
To God be the glory for these great strides.
