1 SAMUEL 16:1-13
OBJECTIVES:
1. To believe in divine selection
2. To seek for divine selection
INTRODUCTION
God told Samuel to stop mourning for Saul for He has rejected him. When Samuel arrived Jesse's house all the children where consecrated except David.

I. Eliab Was Rejected And His Brothers:-
a. God does not look at the outward appearance, He look at the state of the heart.
b. God does not look at position in the family, He look at the quality of your character
b. God does not look at social rank or fortune, He look at the spiritual mind.

II. Samuel Send For David:-
a. David father did not invite him for the sacrifice, yet he was marked for the throne.
b. David brothers did not considered him qualified, yet the seal of God was in him.
David was born to live and die among the sheep but God found him.
III. God Looked At The Heart:-
a. David had the right heart
b. David had an obedient heart.
c. David had a humble spirit
d. David was faithful with little
e. David built a godly lifestyle.

VI. The Anointing Of The Spirit:-
a. David received divine wisdom to rally men around
b. David received divine ability to battle
c. David received divine skills for leadership
d. David restored the lost mantle in the lineage of Judah
e. David received divine mercy to lead the people of God.

CONCLUSION
Eliab and his brothers might have lose the approval of God because of pride, selfishness, and deficiency in character.

BREAKING BARRIERS TO FAITHFUL SERVICE
📖:- Mathew 25:14-30.

INTRODUCTION:- Everyone is called to serve in one way or the other. Your place of service may not be the same with another.
Jesus Christ also came to earth to served so that we all might be saved.

From our bible guide, Matthew 25:14-30 it tell us the parable of a master with his servants, whom the master before going for a journey gave his servants talents. He gave five talents to his first servant, three talents to the second servant and one talent to the third servant. The first and second servants used their talent wisely and made their profit while the third servant didn't make use of his talent and when their master came back he rewarded each of them according the way they used their talents.
God has given us the resources, talents, and gifts to serve. He didn't create us empty but rather He gave us and gave us the ability to serve.
_To serve is not to be done at convenient_
_To serve must be from the depth of your heart_

POINTS
1. Stewardship of Gifts/Resources:- We are called to manage the resources or properties that God have entrusted in our hands.
2. Faithful Service is Being Obedient and Loyal to God:- There is no partial obedience, obedience is either full or no obedience.
3. It means Perseverance and Endurance:- Count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations for the end will produce a perfect and a complete believer.
4. Faithful Service does not Seek for Reignition of Appreciation:- Whatever we do, do as unto the Lord and not unto man.
5. It is not Motivated by Position or Reward:- Our service is not for what we will gain but for the expansion of the kingdom.

BARRIERS TO SERVICE
1) Lack of Knowledge:- We fail to understand that you were created for a purpose.
2) Discouragement:- When someone is doing good, we should learn to encourage the person.
3) Barrier of offence:- God expect us to forgive and don't allow bitterness to hinder your blessings.
4) The Barrier of Fear:- It is the spirit of God that help us and give us the boldness to perform task.
5) The Barrier of Wrong Choice:- The choice you make today determine your destination tomorrow.

Happy National Women's Day to all the wonderful women in AGC Barde 1. On before of the church, I want to sincerely appreciate your commitment, sacrifice and contribution throughout your week for the growth of God's work.

The theme "Breaking Barriers to our responsibilities" emphasizes overcoming every obstacle that limits women from fulfilling their responsibilities and reaching their full potential in the home, church and society.

As you celebrate this special Day, the Lord will strengthen and empowered you in the place of prayer, your hands will raise Godly children, you shall be a center of modesty and unity in the home, church and society.

May your lives continually be an example, a vessel of honor and a blessing to this generation.

THE HELPER
📖:- John 14:16, 26, 15:26 & 16:7.
OBJECTIVES;
i. To understand the role of the Helper.
ii. To desire to walk with the Helper.

INTRODUCTION:- The Helper is the Holy Spirit (John 14:26). We need the person of the Holy Spirit more than the power of the Holy Spirit.
Today we seek the power more than the person of the Holy Spirit. We need the fruit of the Holy Spirit more than the gifts.
We need more fellowship than His performance. When we have more of God, we enjoy more from Him.

1) The Helper Quicken Us To Resist The Deed Of The Flesh:- The Helper quicken us to fight against the lust of the flesh. When we walk in the spirit, we do not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16).
2) The Helper Teaches Us The Word:-
The helper is the author and the interpreter of the word. He gives illumination to the word of God. The Helper convert the word of God into the sword of the Spirit. The helper brings out Rhema from the logos.
3) The Helper Intercede For Us:-
He help us in the place of prayers (Romans 8:26). The Helper help us pray according to the will of the Father and reveal to us the deep things of the Father.
4) The Helper Lead And Direct Us:-
As many as are led by the Spirit, they are called the sons of God (Romans 8:14). The Helper what to partner with us in our school, business, families and all that we do.
5) The Helper Put Satan To Flight:-
When the enemy comes like a flood the helper will raise up a standard against the enemy. (Isaiah 59:19). Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee (James 4:7).

CONCLUSION:- The Comforter is there with you in the morning, afternoon and at night. He is closer to in bad times and good times. He strengthen the weak.
