THE EFFICACY OF THE WORD
📖:- John 1:1-5

OBJECTIVES

I) To know that their is power in the word

II) To take advantage of the word

INTRODUCTION

It takes the word of God for things to work. Nothing works outside the word of God. It is the word that is applied that produces result.

I . The Creative Power of the Word:-

God said, let their be light and their was light...(Genesis 1:3). The power of the word created light out of darkness. By faith we understand that the world was made by the word of God... (Hebrew 11:3).

II. The Healing Power of the Word:-

God's word is God's message, He sees to the accomplishment of His word. God sent His word and heal us (Psalms 107:20).

The centurion said to Jesus, just speak the word and my servant will be heal (Matthew 8:8). Jesus' heals by the word, He uses the efficacy of the word to cast out demons and command situations around Him.

III. The Transforming Power of the Word:-

The word of God transforms sinners to saints. It restores backsliders to faith. It transforms the carnal mind into a firebrand believer. It quicken the mortal body.

For God who commanded the light out of darkness, had shined in our heart (2 Corinthians 4:6). It takes word encounter to do exploit and make a mark in life.

CONCLUSION

The level of your spiritual command is determine by the dept of the word of God. The root of spirituality is in the word. The man and woman of the word is person of power. Start and end the day with the word.

DOERS OF THE WORD
📖:- Matthew 7:24-27, James 1:22-25
OBJECTIVES
I) To have an Indepth knowledge of practical Christianity
II) To be a doer of the word, not only hearers alone.

INTRODUCTION
It is not enough to hear the word, understand the word, remember and share the word, you must be doer of the Word. The word is not only design to inform us but to reform us.

I. Practice The Word:-
It is by practicing the word that you get blessed, grow in grace, power and become fruitful. It is the doers of the word that stand trials, storms, tribulations, persecution and the rest of life but not hearers. Christianity is beyond coming to church, get baptized, become a full member, partake in communion but by living the word. Doers of the word are those that live, govern, rule and reflects the word in their life.

II. Practicing The Word Produce Change:-
Message on prayer, does not produce result untill you practice prayer. Message on given doesn't change your financial status until you practice given. Message on forgiveness doesn't heal you from bitterness until you forgive. Message on salvation doesn't benefits you until you open your heart for repentance.

III. Examples Of Practicing The Word:-
Doers of the word are like the fertile ground that yields in 30, 60, and 100 fold but hearers only are like the unfruitful ground. Doers of the word are like the five wise virgins that took sufficient oil for their journey while the hearers only are like the five foolish virgins. Doers of the word are like the servants with five and two talents while the hearers only are like the one servant that buried his talent.

CONCLUSION
Practicing the word is faithfulness to the word. If you know this things, happy are you if you do them (John 13:17)

📖 MATTHEW 25:31-46
OBJECTIVES
i) To understand the plight of the needy
ii) To be a channel of help to the needy

INTRODUCTION
Christ will take the kindness done to the needy as done to Him. He called the needy His brothers and sisters.

I. FEED THE HUNGRY AND HE THAT THIRST
He who give a cup of water to the least of these ones in the name of a disciples will by no means lose his reward. He who have pity to the poor lends to the Lord (Proverbs 19:17).
One of the kindness the rich man hidden Lazarus with was food and drink and that revealed his ungodly character.

II. WELCOME STRANGER
Be not forgetful to entertain stranger for some entertain angels unaware (Hebrew 13:2). Abraham entertained angels in the name of strangers and received the prophecy of Isaac birth (Genesis 18:14). Lot was also spared by entertaining angels (Genesis 19).

III. CLOTHES THE NAKED
He who has two tunics let him give to him who has none (Luke 3:11). The person who prayer for the brother or sister who is destitute instead of feeding them is evil (James 2:15).
If God so clothes the grass of the field which today is and tomorrow is burned, how much more kindness should believers show to their brethren.

IV. VISIT THE SICK
Paul commended the Galatians for not despising or rejecting him but accept him in his infirmities (Galatians 4:13-14)
The four friends of the paralytic did not forsake him when he was bedridden (Mark 2:1-12).
The are people that are been called into hospital evangelism, caring and helping the sick.

V. VISIT ME IN PRISON
I appeal to you Philemon for my son Onesimus whom I have begotten while in chains (Philemon 1:10). Their are treasures and great talents in the prison that are waiting for someone to reach out to them.
The dungeon that house the great criminal may produce one of the greatest ministers of our time.
Joseph was brought out from prison to the office of the prime minister in Egypt.

CONCLUSION
The righteous were remembered for their charitable deeds. If you cannot feed hundred, feed one by Mother Theresa.

Mid-Year Thanksgiving/Praise Service 05/07/2026.
📖 Luke 17:11-19

OBJECTIVES
a. To see the the need of given thanks
b. To be thankful even in the midst of trials

INTRODUCTION
Christ instructs the ten lepers to go show themselves to the priest and out of faith they obeyed and were healed.

I. The Unthankful Nine
The nine received the healing but fail to acknowledge the healer. The received the miracle but didn't appreciate the miracle worker. The value the blessings more than the blesser.
Many today are like the nine they enjoyed divine protection without acknowledging the protector, they enjoyed divine provision without recognizing the provider, they received the gifts without appreciating the giver.

II. Dangers Of Unthankful
Being Unthankful lead to the worship of gifts rather the the giver (Romans 1:21). An Unthankful heart is a fertile ground for all kinds of sin. To be Unthankful is to be unholy (2 Timothy 3:2). You cannot be holy and be Unthankful. When you are not thankful you become a complainer and a murmurer (1 Cor 10:7-10).
III. The One That Returns
The nine were contended with the physical healing but the one returns and received salvation for his soul. The nine were declared cleanse by the priest but the one was declared saved by Christ.
The one return with the sacrifice of praise and that pleased and glorified Christ. Thanks open our heart for further blessings and glorified and pleases the father.

CONCLUSION
Our prayers and supplications should be brought before God with Thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6).
