Highlights from our Bible study on 'Youth and LGBTQ+' led by Bro. Joel Nuhu.

We looked at:
1) The arguments in favour of and against LGBTQ+
2) The benefits those who identify with them enjoy
3) How Christian youth should respond to LGBTQ+
4) The place of gender in God's purpose for the world.

These are the arguments against LGBTQ+ according to the Bible:
1) God designed marriage for male and female
Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:24 and Matthew 19:4-6

2) Old Testament laws prohibit same-sex acts
Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13

3) New Testament passages speak against same-sex sexual behavior
Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and 1 Timothy 1:9-10

4) Christians are called to holiness and self-control.
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, Galatians 5:16-24 and 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

5) The authority of the Bible must be upheld.
2 Timothy 3:16 and Isaiah 40:8

In conclusion, the bible teaches that marriage and sexual relationships were designed by God for a man and a woman, and Christians are called to follow God’s standards for holiness while still treating everyone with love and respect.

In our last meeting, we learnt about effective planning and it's importance.
The key scripture: Luke 12: 28-32
Speaker: Sis. Siaksyon Sambo
Key notes:
Effective planning is not just about making plans, but making good, thoughtful, and realistic plans.
The Bible supports this idea by encouraging diligence, wisdom, and preparation (Proverbs 21:5).
We are reminded as Christian youths that effective planning goes beyond personal effort. It involves seeking God’s guidance and trusting Him with the outcome (Proverbs 3:5-6).

It was a time of learning, unlearning, and growing together as we shared truths that challenged our thinking and strengthened our faith. Truly, knowledge is a tool God uses to prepare us for transformation.

As Easter draws near, let us not just anticipate the celebration, but also embrace the process- growing spiritually, renewing our minds, and drawing closer to God daily.

Take time to pray.
Take time to reflect.
Take time to grow.

Consecration is being set apart for a special and sacred use by God.
It is purifying and surrendering yourself fully to God.
There is no consecration without intentionality. We have been called to set our lives apart unto God.
Our last meeting was indeed an eye opener.

🔥 KEEP YOUR LAMPS BURNING 🔥
By Rev. Dr. Enoch Bitiyong
Key Verse: Luke 12:35
“Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning.”
Our lack of preparedness for Jesus’ coming will not stop Him from coming. His return is certain.
We must live with the daily consciousness that He can come back at any time. Our walk on earth is like an exam- one that requires readiness, diligence, and obedience.
Jesus has already given us the guide so that we do not fail. The instructions are clear in His Word. The responsibility now lies with us: to obey, to stay alert, and to keep our lamps burning.
Let us not grow careless or distracted. Stay watchful. Stay faithful. Stay ready.
Because when He comes, may He find our lamps still burning.

These were the key points in our last meeting.
This week is another time to be blessed. Don't forget to come around.

In our last meeting, we had a powerful worship session led by Sis. Zishiya Dogo and Sis. Irene James. The Word was brought forth by Mr. Bitrus Bodam on the topic: “The Fear of the Lord.”
Psalm 4:4
Acts 9:31
One truth stood out clearly:
You can’t fear who or what you don’t know.
When the fear of the Lord leaves us, we lose consciousness of His presence. God will never reveal His secrets to those who do not fear Him.
The fear of the Lord produces something tangible in us- it makes us hate evil.
Lord, teach us to walk in Your fear and remain conscious of Your presence always.
