Prepared for Your Destiny
Sometimes God speaks to us through parables and dreams, reminding us of truths we must live by.
One such is the parable of the Ten Virgins
Jesus taught this same principle in the parable of the ten virgins, before stepping into your next season, you must first gather what is required.
“But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. And while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.” — Matthew 25:4–9 (KJV)
The wise virgins were ready; the foolish were not. Preparation could not be borrowed. In the same way, God calls each of us to gather our own “oil”—faith, prayer, obedience, and holiness, so we are ready when He calls.
The message is clear: God calls each of us to gather our own “oil”—faith, prayer, obedience, and holiness—so we are ready when He calls.
- Preparation is personal: no one can do it for you.
- Delay is grace, not denial: God gives us time to align with His will.
- Readiness brings reward: only those prepared enter into the feast of destiny.
Ask yourself: Am I gathering my oil daily? Am I ready for the season God is preparing me for?
Prayers
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me that preparation comes before promotion. Fill me with the oil of Your Spirit—faith, prayer, obedience, and holiness—so that I may be ready when You call me into my next season.
Deliver me from unpreparedness and comparison. Teach me to trust Your timing and walk in my unique destiny. I declare that my delay is not denial but divine preparation. I am equipped, approved, and aligned with Your perfect wil
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
