IBIYEOMIE COMMENDS IAUE
Ignatius Ajuru university of Education has been commended for a great outing during the just concluded 35th and 36th convocation ceremony.
The latest of the commendation is coming from the General Overseer of Salvation Ministry, Pastor David Ibiyeomie who said that the university is doing well and is now a centre of attraction for many students.
Speaking when he received the Vice-Chancellor of IAUE Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele and members of his delegation, the Television Evangelist said that he will partner with the university for its growth. To this end, he is proposing to build a world class hostel to solve the accommodation problems of the female students whom he emphasized should be given priority before proceeding to build that of the male.
He lauded the Vice-Chancellor Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele for his visionary leadership and prayed that the next Vice-Chancellor that would come after him would follow his pattern of leadership style.
Pastor David Ibiyeomie noted that the problem of this country has always been lack of continuity and added that if successors towed the good path mapped out by their predecessors, that development would be faster.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru university of Education, Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele said that he had come with the delegation to pay a thank you visit to Pastor David Ibiyeomie for the honour done the university at the just concluded convocation ceremony and for agreeing to support the university to grow.
He also thanked him for assistance to windows, payment of school fees for many students and for provision of buses to convey them to their worship centres every Sunday.
Professor Ndimele expressed appreciation to the religious leader for promising to build hotels for students and added that the Director of Physical Planning Architect Derego Lawson would work closely with the church towards acheiving the plan.
The Director of Physical Planning had come with a sketch of the building proposed but the Salvation Ministry pastor said that he would improve on what he was presented with.
Recall that Pastor David Ibiyeomie was honoured with an Education Crusader award by the university at its 35th and 36th convocation ceremony which held on Saturday September 1, 2018.
