PRESIDENT, BAPTIST STUDENT FELLOWSHIP (CHURCH-BASED)

1. The BSF President shall be nominated by the fellowship
2. He or she must be born-again and spirit-filled
3. The BSF President must be very zealous for the things of God
4. He or she must not be worldly, else, it will rob-off on others
5. The BSF President must be a student either in secondary school or an undergraduate
6. He or she should promote love in the fellowship in line with the BSF motto (John 13:35)
7. The BSF President shall lead the Baptist Student Fellowship in the church
8. He or she shall co-operate with the Adviser and Church Pastor
9. The BSF President shall with the permission of the Church Pastor and guidance of the Adviser, organize special programs for students
10. He or she should ensure such programs are geared towards enhancing, developing and fostering spiritual growth amongst students
11. The BSF President should promote unity among the students
12. He or she should liaise with the Adviser and Church Pastor to plan for BSF Sunday
13. The BSF President must not be one struggling with his or her academics for the additional responsibility may worsen matters
14. He or she should be a student that is above average academically in order to cope with the responsibility
15. The BSF President should not be in any relationship with the opposite s*x amongst members of the fellowship in order not to send the wrong message to members in their teens
16. He or she must be morally upright, that is, not involved in s*xual immorality
17. If the BSF President is an undergraduate, it is wise to ensure his or her assistant should be a secondary school day student so that when he or she leaves for school the fellowship will not suffer
18. It is not advisable for the President of a church-based BSF to also at the same time be the President of a campus-based BSF, the work load may be too much, however, some exceptional persons may be able to cope with the two
